2-6-2020   Newshound Guru Kaperoni   ...guru Frank26...thinks some big RV/RI is going to happen and people are going to exchange their dinar at banks...It could take years for banks to ever include the dinar in there currency exchange portfolio because of it's volatility.  Most banks by nature are very conservative so I wouldn't expect banks to jump in right away and add the dinar to their portfolio of exchangeable currencies.  But even so, that is assuming there was some significant overnight event to raise the value of the dinar. Which won't happen...There is no overnight event call it whatever you want.  Most of the same reasons still apply...there is over 42 trillion dinar in circulation and Iraq never could afford any significant RV. Plus, if they ever did it would throw the whole economic system in Iraq into total chaos. Just not how economies and monetary policy work.  The whole idea of an overnight significant RV is a fallacy. If the dinar is ever going to go up in value it's going to go up gradually over time via a float...
2-5-2020  Intel Guru Angel1  ...I believe 30 days is enough time for the process to take place to reinstate the currency of Iraq...businessmen are now in charge...

2-5-2020   Newshound Guru Adam Montana
Article:  "Iraqi Kurdistan agrees with Baghdad on 2020 budget share"   I LOVE that this is happening right now, with a new PM in place.  The new PM could have thrown everything GOI into a tailspin.  Instead, business is happening.

2-5-2020   Newshound Guru Kaperoni   Here is a fact...according to the Prime Minister's economic advisor Muhammad Salih, Iraq is ninth in the world in terms of natural resources underground estimated at about 15–16 trillion dollars, whether in oil, phosphates, sulfur, silicon and other important raw materials.  With that known, what makes one think the CBI could significantly overnight RV/RI the dinar with excess of 42 trillion in circulation? That would be giving away over two times the countries entire wealth!   Not going to happen...

2-5-2020   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat  Note how the demonstrators do not talk much, if any, about the currency auctions now? What happened was that after their first set of demands when they demanded the currency auctions end, the CBI came out and told them that currency reform was about to happen and was progressing but is stalled due to the instability by the demonstrators. So they then said they would continue again once the demonstrators when home and things settled down.

2-5-2020   Newshound Guru Jeff  Article "Kurdistan region confirms readiness to abide by the terms of the agreement and hand over Baghdad revenues of 250 thousand barrels per day"  This is a great article further confirming that the agreement between Kurdistan and Baghdad has not been implemented.  It's waiting on the 2020 Budget approval to be implemented.  Remember these are post rate change steps and agreements.  That's why these types of agreements have never been activated or implemented before between Kurdistan and Baghdad.  It's just more confirming great news...

2-5-2020  Newshound Guru Adam Montana  ...We are a couple days past the presentation of the new (possibly interim) Prime Minister, and my sentiments thus far can be summarized in a word:  HAPPY. The new PM was selected late last week. He's had less than a full week to screw it up, and he has not. Seriously - 5 days is plenty of time to drive the bus right off a cliff, and he has not.  In fact, he's doing things right.  ...I'll be candid - Tawfik Allawi was not my "top pick" for the new PM. But, current PM Allawi does have a very solid history of butting heads with Maliki, and that's about as solid of an endorsement as anyone should need...

2-5-2020   Intel Guru MarkZ   [via PDK]   Things from the news today pointing to us being close…At Redemption Centers part of them are in…part of them are on call.  [Mark are we needing Iraq to complete their government for us to move forward to the RV?]  Part of the move of the Global Currency Reset is the governments don’t matter as long as the assets are there so I am told it won’t matter. I am however being told we will see the government fall into place immediately on the reset or reinstatement of that value of the dinar.

2-5-2020   Intel Guru Bruce   [via WiserNow]  I want to remind everybody that we do feel like we are very, very close to this going...What we are seeing is we had an opportunity to go either today or tomorrow (Wed)...emphasis on ...(Wed)...all I can tell you is the redemption staff will be in tomorrow [Wednesday]... I think they are going to be prepared for a late morning start for setting appointments for us...Rates are continuing to climb as the Dinar did come back up on the screen – we heard that from our Forex contact... There’s not a whole lot to tell when you’re at the end of the ride - that’s pretty much where we are...everything is stationed – and ready to go...

2-5-2020   Newshound Guru Vital Brad   ...looks like so far the little time Allawi has been in he's getting things done which is good.  We want to set the government for this revaluation to take place.  We want Iraq as stable as absolute possible...

Restoring Mosul’s iconic Al-Nuri Mosque

 04 Feb 2020 - 3:33 pm
Following the liberation of Mosul, efforts were soon underway to repair and reconstruct the city, its historical and archaeological monuments and iconic symbols.

One of the biggest reconstruction projects in the city is the restoration of the Grand Al-Nuri Mosque, famous for its eight-century-old leaning minaret, which was blown up by Daesh terrorists.
Plans to restore Al-Nuri Mosque and its minaret were unveiled in 2018, as part of  ‘Reviving the Spirit of Mosul’ initiative launched by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in partnership with the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, international experts and Nineveh provincial council. The initiative is funded by the United Arab Emirates.

UNESCO says the ‘Reviving the Spirit of Mosul’ initiative seeks “to foster reconciliation and social cohesion in Mosul and its Old Town, through the restoration and reconstruction of Al-Nuri Mosque and its Al-Hadba Minaret as iconic landmarks, as well as a Memorial.”

The initiative also includes skills development to help young men and women from Mosul find new job opportunities through heritage rehabilitation.

Before they could begin the restoration work, the project team began rubble removal and de-mining of the Al Nuri Mosque, before implementing stabilisation measures and beginning to document and preserve architectural remains.

UNESCO announced recently the completion of this important stage in this reconstruction and restoration work, with the focus now being on the cleaning and sorting of the valuable original stones, pieces and materials from the rubble, and taking accurate details and measurements in order to preserve the inscriptions and architectural decorations to maintain the historic character of the site.

The original materials will be part of the new construction process, drawing on the archives in Mosul which document the exact details and measurements of the inscriptions and the original architectural design.

Al-Nuri Mosque, which is located in the heart of the western side of Mosul, has a historical significance and is one of the symbols of the ancient city.

The mosque was built in the 12th century AD and witnessed expansion and reconstruction operations at different stages, the last of which was in the 1940s. It was blown up by Daesh terrorists in 2017.
According to UNESCO, the process of rebuilding Al-Nuri Mosque could take up to 5 years.

A deputy warns (Allawi) against losing the government of Abdul Mahdi, the confidence of the street

5/2/2020 19:19
[Baghdad-where]
On Wednesday, the deputy of the Al-Fath Alliance, Ahmad Al-Kinani, affirmed that the new government is responsible for restoring confidence between it and the Iraqi street, warning them against re-conducting the Abdul Mahdi’s government, regarding opening an electronic window for the nomination of ministers.

Al-Kanani considered in a press statement today that the attempt to establish an electronic window is an incorrect step, and that there are problems in terms of standards and mechanisms, "noting that the Prime Minister-designate will not be lucky if he takes the previous steps of Abdul-Mahdi, regarding (the electronic window)."

He stressed that the new government needs to regain the confidence of the street in it, and that returning such matters is not correct, referring to the (electronic window).

He pointed out that "the prime minister in charge of forming the government, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, should stay away from the pressure of political blocs in choosing candidates for ministries."

Earlier, Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi pledged to implement the demands of the demonstrators and form a government of competencies capable of managing the country.

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "Digital Media NRT" obtained a copy of it, that the Prime Minister-designate received the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jenin Blaskhardt.

Allawi stressed his keenness to implement the demands of the demonstrators and the formation of a government of competencies capable of managing the country in this sensitive circumstance and preparing for fair elections that meet the aspirations of all Iraqis.

Allawi: I did not object to the Prime Minister-designate, but the method of his arrival is incorrect

5/2/2020 22:17 •
[Baghdad-where]
On Wednesday, the leader of the National Coalition, Iyad Allawi, affirmed that he did not object to Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, noting that the way he came was incorrect, while noting that he was against the departure of the American forces from Iraq.

Allawi said in an interview with the program "maneuvering" broadcast by the Sumerian satellite, "I did not object to the nomination of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, but the method of coming is incorrect, so how did they object to him, my cousin," stressing by saying, "I told him that his method of reaching the prime minister is wrong."

Allawi asked, "Can he do something when he came from two political parties and with Iranian blessing," noting that "assigning a prime minister away from the masses is incorrect, and with the support of two political sides that do not represent all of Iraq but armed groups."

Allawi added, "The current government and parliament do not represent the Iraqi people, but the demonstrators are the ones who represent it," noting that "the Iraqi people are being slaughtered daily, and today Najaf is being slaughtered, so now every force that has militias does not represent the people."

On the other hand, the head of the Iraqiya coalition indicated, "The United Nations representative in Iraq, Henness Blachhardt, does not do and does not mean anything, and she is now working to obtain the position of Prime Minister in her country (the Netherlands)," stressing that "neither the United Nations nor anyone else can unite." Non-Iraqi Iraqis themselves. "

Regarding the departure of the American forces from Iraq, Allawi stressed his text, "I am against the departure of the American forces from Iraq, so if they leave, we will remain at the mercy of ISIS, Iran and Turkey."
