Al-Kazemi arrives in Rome as part of his European tour

On Thursday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi arrived in the Italian capital, Rome.

And the Media Office of the Prime Minister stated in a brief statement that "Nass" received a copy of it, (1 July 2021), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi arrived in the Italian capital, Rome."

Earlier, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi met the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, at the Parliament headquarters, as part of his visit to the Belgian capital, Brussels.

A statement by Al-Kazemi's office said, "Nass" received a copy of it, (1 July 2021), that "the Prime Minister indicated during the meeting, Iraq's aspiration to build distinguished relations with all countries of the European Union, in a way that helps Iraq overcome its crises, and supports security and stability in the Middle East." As well as supporting Iraq's pivotal role in defusing crises in the region.

Al-Kazemi said, according to the statement, that he "relies on developing the relations of the European Parliament with the Iraqi parliament, in the field of exchanging legislative experiences, promoting a culture of human rights, defending minorities and consolidating democracy."

The statement added, "In his meeting, Al-Kazemi stressed that the Iraqi government is continuing to implement economic reforms, diversify investment and revive stalled projects, as it seeks to attract investors and secure an optimal investment environment by facilitating all investment-related procedures."

The statement continued, "During the meeting, Al-Kazemi stressed that the government has made important progress in combating terrorism and uprooting its roots, as well as confining weapons to its hands by supporting the security forces and restoring confidence between them and society, to address its role in confronting terrorism, uncontrolled weapons and crime gangs."

The Prime Minister stressed, "The government looks forward to European support in mobilizing the international effort to support the issue of mass graves and the missing people left behind by ISIS through organized mass killing campaigns, and joint work with the relevant Iraqi and international bodies. Iraq also looks forward to the support of the European Union for its efforts to secure stability." The liberated areas, by providing humanitarian aid and promoting stability and reconstruction.

The statement concluded, "For his part, the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, welcomed the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, and affirmed the European Parliament's support for all government steps aimed at reform, and everything that would enhance security and stability in Iraq and the region."

The Housing Fund: The launch of the second round of loans is soon, and these are its terms

Today, Thursday, the Housing Fund announced the imminent launch of the second round of loans, while setting the main conditions for granting them.

The Director General of the Fund, Dia Mujd, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency: Commenting on the Fund's decision to postpone the application for loans, in a statement, "The second round of loans will be launched soon," that its launch is dependent on the signing of the contract.

He added, "The loans include specific controls and conditions under the law or according to the instructions of the Central Bank, including that the loan holder owns a piece of land independently of an area of 100 square meters or less, and its value covers the value of the loan, in addition to having a building permit. The loan holder has to guarantee himself in addition to the construction map, and these are the most important conditions.”

He pointed out that "the loans are specific to the allocations that depend on the initiative of the Central Bank, and these amounts were determined according to the percentage of the population and the poverty line for each province in Iraq," noting that "the central bank allocated in the first initiative 875 billion dinars and the second 875 billion dinars."
