The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Peshmerga, Lieutenant General Jabbar Yawar, announced on Friday that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed the implementation of the joint security agreement between the Joint Operations Command and Peshmerga forces in the disputed areas.
Al-Yawar said, according to the official agency, that "during the previous meetings, a joint agreement was reached to form the centers of the Joint Security Coordination Room for the regions of Khanaqin, Kirkuk, Mosul and Makhmour, and that the agreement was made in light of the proposals presented by Al-Kazimi," indicating that "according to which the agreement was concluded between the Security Coordination Committee." The Supreme Ministry of Peshmerga and the Supreme Security Coordination Committee for the Joint Operations Command.
He added, "These centers have not been implemented by the Coordinating Committee in the Joint Operations Command, and the agreement to form a joint force of Peshmerga forces and Iraqi army forces in the disputed areas has also not been implemented."
Al-Yawar confirmed, "During a security meeting, the Prime Minister directed the Supreme Security Coordination Committee in the Joint Operations Command to head to the Kurdistan region to activate the previous security agreements," noting that "a delegation from Baghdad visited the Kurdistan region on the ninth of this month, headed by National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji. During the visit, it was agreed to implement the aforementioned security agreements after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
He pointed out that "the best solution for the stability of the disputed areas lies in the continuation of joint coordination between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army forces to maintain security in those areas."

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Thamer Theban, confirmed today, Friday, that the continuing repercussions of raising the price of the dollar will make the Iraqi street inflamed, describing it as a floundering policy.
Theban said, "The central bank’s flawed policy regarding raising the sale of the dollar considered it a crime against our people, especially those with limited income."
He added that "there are mafias of corruption was behind the support of the policy of raising the selling price of the dollar against the dinar , " noting that " the central bank does not need to raise the price of the dollar but needs to control and accounting banks banking and companies that manipulate money laundering this to address the serious phenomenon."
He pointed Zeban That "the policy of the Central Bank will make the Iraqi street fiery as a result of the continuing repercussions of the exchange rate hike."
Kurdistan Democrat gives good news to the region’s employees after the Eid holiday

The Kurdistan Democratic Bloc confirmed, on Friday, that the federal government will launch the salaries of employees and the share of the Kurdistan Region in the 2021 budget, after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Democrat Shirwan Al-Dobardani said, “The joint technical committee that was formed to follow up the terms of the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region continues its work to implement the agreement and what is stipulated in the General Budget Law for 2021.”
Dubardani added, “According to the information, the salaries of employees and the region’s share in the budget law will be launched by the Federal Ministry of Finance after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.”
He pointed out that “launching the Kurdistan Region quota in one go or in the form of payments left to the Technical Committee, it is concerned with that through its action on the Ministry of Finance.”
And the Prime Minister had indicated, during a press interview, on May 9, 2021, that Baghdad is now in the final stage of approving and distributing the budget chapters, and that Kurdistan’s share will arrive in Erbil soon.

The exchange rate of (100) dollars on the Kifah Stock Exchange in the capital Baghdad was (148,375) dinars, and the price of (100) dollars on the Al-Harithiya Stock Exchange was (148,350) dinars, and in other exchange offices the selling price was (148,750) dinars, and the purchase price was (147,750) dinars.
As for the Erbil Stock Exchange, the price of 100 dollars has stabilized to (148,650) dinars, and in the Basra Stock Exchange the price of 100 dollars (148,350) dinars was recorded, and in the Mosul Governorate Stock Exchange, the price of 100 dollars (148,700) dinars was recorded. In the Sulaymaniyah Governorate Stock Exchange, the price of 100 dollars (148,625) dinars was recorded. And in the Karbala provincial stock exchange, the price of 100 dollars (148,500) dinars was recorded.

The decline in world oil prices

Today, Friday, oil prices recorded a new decline after dropping about 3% the previous day as cases of Coronavirus remained high in India, the main oil consumer, and a major fuel pipeline in the United States resumed operations after it was closed due to a cyberattack.
Brent crude futures were down 22 cents, or 0.3%, to $ 66.82 a barrel by 0653 GMT.West Texas Intermediate futures fell 14 cents, or 0.2%, to $ 63.68 a barrel. Both prices are heading to their first weekly loss in three weeks.
Prices were under pressure as a broader rise in commodity prices, labor shortages and stronger-than-expected US consumer price data this week fueled inflation concerns that could force the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates. Read more

Al-Kazemi: I fulfilled my promise to the Iraqi people

On Thursday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said he kept his promise to the people not to run in the upcoming elections.
This came in a televised speech on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and the anniversary of the formation of his government.
Al-Kazemi said, “I stand before you today, a year after I took the oath as Prime Minister. The government that I had the honor to preside was born in an exceptional and dangerous circumstance.”
He explained that "Iraq was standing at a crossroads due to a severe social crisis," adding, "Our main mission is to conduct fair and just elections."
Al-Kazemi added, "We have set the 10th of October this year as a deadline for these early elections. My government has provided all support for the success of the elections."
He called on the political forces and parties to "evoke the essence of this nation and join hands together to protect it," noting that "the forces that have fought the harshest dictatorships of the modern age are undoubtedly worthy of fulfilling this historical responsibility at this critical stage."
"Our great people, with all their social, youth, religious and cultural activities, are called to support participation in the elections," he said.
Al-Kazemi added, "We fulfilled our pledge before our people by declaring not to participate in the elections or support any party or party at the expense of the other."
He indicated that his government will play its role in protecting the upcoming electoral process.

It's been going on since right around December and January...IMO all of this 'hotness' really has been propped up. Artificial. It's under the pretense that Iraq is about to raise the value of its currency...if they don't go International. If they don't increase the rate of their currency, all this market activity with the ISX and ESX will just crash. 1930 has nothing on what can happen to Iraq if they don't raise the value of their currency and go Article VIII.

It is way – well above that now – and the dong is right there with it - very close - I think within 5-6% - of the dinar...And we knew that was supposed to be the case because they were trading partners and so that’s very good news...the rates are terrific – and far better than we thought they would be – far better...

The fact that the deficit is already taken care of this early into the year is awesome news. Biden expending the declaration of emergency that's not good. That sends a really bad message...there's a lot of good things going on but there's also a lot of bad. You should be aware of all of them...we are super pumped about the oil prices going up...

In order to have success with investment you have to have a tradable currency. You've got to have mechanisms by which that currency can be tracked and traded internationally. i.e. BUNA. Our forces have achieved remarkable development in terms of confronting the pockets of the terrorist organization ISIS. We have succeeded in killing the terrorist who calls himself the Wali of Iraq and the Vice-Caliph, known as Abu Yasser al-Issawi, and the death of the deputy governor of ISIS in Iraq, and ISIS's coordinator of operations in Syria and Iraq, and we are determined to dry up the sources of terrorism and establish stability During a series of operations that will be launched to confront the pockets and trails of ISIS.
During the past year, our heroic forces also confronted uncontrolled weapons and outlaw groups that fire rockets at diplomatic missions and Iraqi institutions, and we have hundreds of detainees from outlaws and death squads who terrified our people in Basra for the past years and the perpetrators of the assassinations, in addition to drug and weapons gangs.
In this regard, I say ..
Yes, there are still people trying to bully the state, taking advantage of the exceptional circumstances of Iraq, to threaten to drag Iraq into blood and civil war, but everyone must know
Bullying against the state is not without cost, whether today or tomorrow. The rights of the state are not subject to the statute of limitations, and everyone who believes that they are stronger than the state will find themselves accountable to its legal institutions, regardless of their magnitude.
The murderers of the martyr activist Ihab Al-Wazni in Karbala will face the fate that the killers of Ahmed Abdul-Samad faced in Basra and the rest of the martyrs, with what they committed against our people and our youth.
My Iraqi family
On occasions and events that we have faced together during this year, the government has proven its pledges to you that it will not allow blood to be taken lightly, and we have presented the results of the investigation committees that were formed in some unfortunate events, and there are investigative committees that are still working tirelessly in the criminal assassinations cases that occurred during the past year.
The current government has worked to consolidate the principle of announcing the results of the investigation on the specified date and to banish the procrastination that was associated with the formation of the committees previously.
The government has also formed a high-level fact-finding team from former judges that is still gathering data and testimonies about the events of October 2019, and it will announce the results of this commission’s work upon its issuance.
At this time, the government has taken several measures to deal with the repercussions of those events, such as the release of all those detained due to the demonstrations, as demonstrating is a constitutional right, and we considered the victims in the protest squares as martyrs and their rights were guaranteed,
We have also launched a comprehensive national dialogue project that includes the demonstrators and confirms their legitimate demands, as well as political forces and popular activities.

The government has committed itself to assisting the displaced to return to their homes and to significantly end the problem of internal displacement. We have closed within one year more than ninety percent of the IDP camps across Iraq, and we supported the displaced in the voluntary return to their areas.
We have sworn to an Iraq in which all Iraqis are equal in rights and duties, and we will not allow Iraqis to be categorized on the basis of their religion, sect, or identity, and we have fulfilled the oath and will complete what we started regardless of the challenges.
We sponsored the Sinjar Agreement, which strengthened the federal government's responsibility for our Yazidi people in Sinjar, at the administrative and security levels, and in a manner that allowed the return of our displaced people in Sinjar to their city, and we also strengthened the positive understanding between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government in preparation for solving the outstanding problems under the shadow of one nation and one destiny.

When this government was formed a year ago from today .. Iraq was going through one of the most dangerous economic challenges, and the government found itself faced with the reality of lack of resources, emptying of the treasury and complete dependence on oil.
We launched a reform project, the White Paper, and presented the draft budget for 2021, with ambitious plans to diversify investment and activate the stalled projects.

When we talk about a fundamental Iraqi role at the regional and international level to calm crises and bottlenecks and establish cooperation as an alternative to conflict, we proceed from our belief in the weight of Iraq and its historical role.
On this basis, we set a new path for foreign policy in which Iraq is an initiative ... We said a year ago in a loud voice that Iraq is first ... and everyone understood that Iraq refuses to be an arena for disputes. We said that the regional chair of Iraq cannot be dwarfed, and no one will sit in it. Except for Iraq, and that Iraq will only wear what suits its people and its historical size, and that the name of Iraq is much greater than being a back garden for anyone or a playground for anyone’s adventures, but a factor of peace and stability for the region and the world.
Baghdad worked with history and dignity and on behalf of the Iraqi people during this year to search for points of convergence and balance in the region to establish a reality in which regional integration and cooperation replace the conflict.
We are proud of the great development of our relationship with Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and all the Arab Gulf states, Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria and all countries in the region that love peace.
The success of the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Iraq in March 2021 was also a reflection of this policy.
We are also proud of our position today within the international community and our distinguished relationship with the countries of Europe and the United States of America, and we have preserved the historic and decisive position of Iraq in support of the Palestinian cause.

We affirm Iraq's position by rejecting and condemning the cowardly Israeli attacks on our defenseless Palestinian people in Jerusalem and Gaza, this people who have suffered the most cruel injustices witnessed in modern history, and continue to give the whole world lessons of steadfastness and determination, and steadfastness on legitimate demands. Negotiations with Iran to build a railway line between Basra and Shalamjah have reached their final stages, and we have signed fifteen agreements and memoranda of understanding with Jordan and Egypt on energy and transport lines, as well as the signing of many agreements with Turkey on security, economic and investment issues, and the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding with France, Germany and Britain to rehabilitate and build new roads, airports and railway lines. As well as activating the understandings in the Chinese agreement to apply them on the ground through a series of infrastructure projects, and the signing of contracts with major American companies to invest in Iraq.
In the file of the strategic dialogue with the United States, we proved that dialogue, frankness and direct methods are more beneficial than stubbornness, obstinacy and chaos.
During three sessions of the dialogue, we achieved advanced steps for the exit of the remainder of the combat forces of the international coalition, consecration of cooperation in all areas, including training and rehabilitation, and prepared upcoming rounds between the military committees to set the time and technical frames to achieve this.
My family and loved ones
A year ago from today, in my letter of assignment to form a government, I told you
"We have to work together to restore Iraq from crises, conflicts and futile wars, and we have to prove before history that we are fit for Iraq, by actions, not words."
A year later I tell you

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas
Today, Thursday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
During the call, Mr. Al-Kazemi renewed the steadfast position of the Iraqi government and people towards the just cause of the Palestinian people.
His Excellency said that Iraq maintains its historic supportive and decisive stance towards the brotherly Palestinian people, and condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli attacks on our people in Palestine, whether in Jerusalem or in the Gaza Strip, and rejects the prejudice to the historical right to the land of Palestine, without which generations of militants, martyrs and resistance fighters have been sacrificed.
The Prime Minister saluted the honorable stand that the people of Palestine stand today, and their steadfastness and ability to achieve their state on their land and its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, congratulated, on Wednesday, the Islamic nation, especially the families of the martyrs, on the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, sending a message to all components of Iraq.
Barzani said in a statement: “I extend my warmest congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to all Muslims of Kurdistan, Iraq, and the world, especially among them and the families of the martyrs.
He added, "Let us all take the meanings and concepts of the Eid represented in reconciliation, tolerance, and reconciliation with ourselves, with those around us and with everyone, as a principle for our actions, our relationships and our future steps."
