Turkish army announced the destruction of 16 targets for workers in northern Iraq

Editorial date: 2018/6/6 11:44  51 times read

The Turkish army announced on Wednesday that an air strike carried out by its warplanes "neutralized" at least six gunmen from the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Turkey.
The air strike on Tuesday targeted Hakkurk, Gara, Metina, Zab, Kandil and Afasin areas in northern Iraq and destroyed 16 targets, the military said on Twitter.
Turkey has often carried out air strikes against PKK targets in northern Iraq, where the party is based in the Kandil mountains and has also threatened to carry out operations in Sinjar.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday referred to a Turkish military operation in Iraq and Syria.
"Kandil is the next and Sinjar after them (both in northern Iraq) and we will face anyone who threatens and disturbs my country," Erdogan said at a rally before the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey on June 24.
The PKK, considered a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union and Turkey, has been waging a three-decade insurgency in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast, killing some 40,000 people.
Turkish officials often use the term "neutralization" in statements about attacks on gunmen without giving details, generally understanding that they were killed, arrested or wounded.

Europe 2018-2022: Environmental Agenda Setback
In the West, the environmental agendas are preparing for serious setbacks. Here are some of the reasons leading us to this conclusion: the discrediting of some ecological movements due to their perceived NIMBY (Not in My Back-Yard) attitude; the US withdrawal from the environmental agenda; questions about some fundamental principles such as “is global warming the right fight?”, and “are renewable energies the right solutions; also noteworthy is the questioning of the all-electric future in terms of motor vehicles, as the enormous electricity needs linked to this strategy defy the desired protection effect for the environment... 6-6-2018   Newshound Guru Walkingstick  [via sunny]   (Walkingstick...has an Iraq firm for over 25 years, 6 banks, 12+ ATM machines.  His firm fulfills every category CBI is working on.  WS tells only "what is in print.")   Pay attention to National Bank of Iraq (NBI) as their software needs to be updated to activate ATM's (carries lower denoms.).  NBI connected to Jordan with 22 ATM's.  Electronic system fights corruption.  Restricting the American dollar: If you use ATM's, can't get US dollars!!  Not just ATM's, but if they come into our bank, ONLY Iraqi Dinars from now on.   [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

6-5-2018  Intel Guru Delta    "The CBI is going to make an Announcement. . . Urgent need for bankers to move to next stage.  Remove program rate, "implement immediately." All the steps the IMF, World Bank, UST wanted were accomplished in the first three months of 2018.  Now in June, implementing these steps.  What these economists are saying fortifies this position.

6-5-2018   Newshound Guru Kaperoni  Our unofficial countdown to IMF compliance as it pertains to maintaining the 2% spread is now at 9 days to go.  As I mentioned yesterday I think we'll see the IMF conduct an Article IV Consultation with Iraq within the next 60 days preferably less.  This would be a very good time for the IMF to do a thorough review of the reforms being conducted by the CBI as well as accept the letter for the transition to Article VIII.  Transitioning off the dollar and using the dinar not only in country but internationally will open up the banking system for investment.  The influx of capital created could allow the dinar to rise substantially in value. The CBI will have to prepare for that by getting off the Peg and moving to a float.

6-5-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   Article:  "COUNCIL OF REPRESENTATIVES BEGAN SATURDAY AFTERNOON, RESUMING ITS EXTRAORDINARY SESSION"  Quotes:  "It is scheduled that the House of Representatives the second reading of the proposed amendment to the Third Law of the elections of the House of Representatives No. 45 of 2013."   "...to protect the democratic process including the integrity and fairness of the elections and to enable the Commission to conduct manual counting and sorting."   ...Remember this is NOT yet the newly voted in parliament from the recent elections. Jubouri has been trying to pass this amendment to the election law for a very long time. Now he finally has some leverage to get the vote. Now they see the light as to why this law was important to have coming into the election. It will NOT apply to this last election.

6-5-2018  Newshound Guru Whitelions  ...I'll tell you what...the gurus have really done their jobs over the years getting people to see everything that happens in Iraq as a road block to the value.  I guess now we need to get people to see they are really working on it. and have just about made it there...and all this other stuff in the Iraq news is just everyday bis. just like the rest of the world they are running a country...

6-5-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   Article:  "SADR'S SPOKESMAN: THEY ARE GOING TO FORM A GOVERNMENT AND CHOOSE THE PRIME MINISTER DEPENDS ON THEM"   Quote:  "...the existence of ongoing negotiations between the alliance with other political blocs, noting that the last ten days of the month of Ramadan will be crucial in this regard."   What is Moussawi saying when he refers to the “last 10 days of Ramadan” in this article? To me it sounds like they know something we don’t? He says, and I quote - "naming the presidents of the republic and the councils of ministers and deputies is left” So we know that in Iraq 2018 Ramadan falls between May 17th and June 15th. So there is only about 10 days remaining to Ramadan...right?  ...so is he saying in the next ten days (by June 15th) they are targeting to get this elections mess all done and thus get naming the presidents of the republic and the councils of ministers and deputies?  I certainly hope so!  July 1st is coming real fast...the first scheduled session of the NEW Parliament.
6-4-2018 Newshound Guru Kaperoni So whats next? June 15th will mark the three-month condition. I also believe after that the IMF will want to have their Article IV Consultation with Iraq. And most importantly we need to see the formation of the new government. I do hope and expect at these things can move it a fairly good pace but I do not expect them to happen by June 15th. Compliance will be great as long as they can maintain it and hopefully the other two issues can take care of themselves and short order.

New treatment eliminates tooth decay
2018/6/5 16:28
[Ayna-Follow]
LONDON (Reuters) - British scientists at Queen Mary University in London have discovered a new technique to eliminate tooth decay, which could put an end to the problems of millions of people around the world.
According to international media, scientists have been able to develop a material that will help in renewing enamel, where the technique develops mineral materials, paving the way for the renewal of solid tissues such as tooth and bone enamel.
The enamel is the outer coating of the teeth, the hardest tissue in the human body, and can resist the high temperatures of the drinks and the high acidity in the food.
But enamel, unlike other tissues, can not grow alone again if it is eroded, leading to pain and tooth loss in nearly 50 percent of the world's population.
The team found a protein capable of stimulating the growth of crystals in a way similar to how crystals grow when tooth enamel develops in the human body.
