The deputy head of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc in the Parliament of Kurdistan Bahar Abdul Rahman, in a statement to "Al-Ghad Press", "The parliamentary session, which was scheduled to be held today postponed due to some political blocs."

"It was supposed to discuss the issue of salaries of the guards of the headquarters and government departments of the Ministry of Interior also because the government did not include them to reduce the savings rate of 10% to 30% as other employees of the region, and remained at 65% savings and do not know why they do not include the new savings.

The secretary of the Parliament of the Kurdistan region, Bakr Talabani, has announced last week that the parliament will hold its meeting on Monday and hosted the provincial government to discuss the new retirement law, but the meeting was postponed for the third time.

April 16, 2018

The former deputy member of the coalition of state law, Kamal Saadi, said that the country suffers from chronic problems in the economy, politics and society as a natural result of the tracks of the rent economy. Indicating that the solution is to get out of this spiral, the trend to support the private sector and investment in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade and tourism.
Al-Saadi said in a statement singled out by the media treasures that the openness to global markets must be accompanied by the fight against bureaucracy and corruption and reduce waste while stopping the state's manipulation of public sector management in the current form and must open the doors to finance the budget instead of the almost total dependence on oil.
Saadi pointed out that we need to change the laws and open the doors of investment widely to find a real reform in Iraq's faltering economy and to stop the deficit suffered by the budget permanently. Explaining that solving the problem of food security is not only with the support of the private sector and the investment sector and make the state supervisor and observer and legislator of laws only without entering into the adoption of industrial sectors, agricultural and trade directly.
"We need to develop our plans and benefit from the experiences of countries that have suffered from this painful problem," Saadi said.

Jordan delivers Iraq 'biggest' accused of corruption ... Abadi reveals the opening of thousands of «corrupt files

Apr 16, 2018
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi was arrested on Sunday by the former secretary-general of the Defense Ministry, Ziad al-Qattan, who described him as "one of the biggest accused of corruption."
The Iraqi government issued judgments against Qattan and accused him of wasting public money by signing agreements to purchase weapons and military equipment for the Ministry of Defense 2004 2005.
Al-Qattan, was arrested at the Juweida Correctional Center in Jordan after being arrested at Queen Alia Airport when he was coming from Poland.
The Integrity Commission earlier announced a Jordanian royal decision to extradite al-Qattan to the Iraqi authorities.
A statement by the Office of Abadi: «Continuation of the campaign of corrupt pursuers announced by the Prime Minister and efforts and follow-up diligent files of corruption that wasted the money of Iraq, one of the largest accused of corruption called (Ziad Qattan) former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense in the Transitional Government, and arrested and brought Hidden to Iraq to hold him accountable for the cases accused ». He added that «Ziad al-Qattan accused of arms deals in which the corruption of millions of dollars, and was followed up in the country where he resides in cooperation with Interpol, and now in the hands of the Iraqi security services, where he will receive a fair penalty».

He added: «Our bodies continue to follow many files of corruption and great efforts, and there are many files that reached the advanced stages in the search and will contribute significantly to the prosecution of the corrupt and arrest».
Earlier, Abadi stressed that "we have not been able to win a victory without our fight against corruption." He said that "there is a relationship between the corrupt and terrorism, and as we regain our country, our land and our citizens, we affirm our determination to protect public money and our responsibility to protect it. He added: "The distribution of wealth in a fair manner is corruption, and should not be a minority of wealth at the expense of the general public." He stressed that "we need a revolution to protect public funds and social justice, and can not fight corruption by traditional methods.
He also called for a "radical approach to fighting corruption." He added that "it is unfair to underestimate the steps we have taken to reduce the size of corruption. There are thousands of investigation files opened in large cases, many of whom have been referred for investigation and integrity.

Respecting countries sovereignty, Iran's basic policy: FM spox

Tehran, April 16, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi late on Sunday reiterated Iran’s permanent and principled policy of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, rejecting allegations made against Iran in Arab League Summit’s closing statement
Deploring deeply over certain contents of the closing statement of the Arab League Summit in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, he said that the statement also like the other ones repeated the alleged and futile claims and lies against the Islamic Republic once again, failing to find out causes of regional crises, as it ignores the realities on the ground.

There a great hope that the summit would take positive steps in line with restoring stability and peace to the region, away from usual double standard policies, but the impacts of the Saudi destructive policies are evident in certain clauses of the statement, he said.

Reiterating the Iranian origin of the Islands of Abu Musa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs, Qasemi described certain countries’ efforts to distort and repetition of wrong claims as ‘flogging the dead horse’ and outdated and ineffective.

He also condemned it as interference in Iran’s domestic affairs.
What is the matter of regret is that certain Arab League member states are closing eyes to historic and geographical realities and ignoring sovereignty of the neighbors and not follow up rational policies, he said, noting that they are misspending Arab and Islamic countries’ potentials, which can be used in line with doing away with the regional crises, by misrepresenting undisputed historic realities.

Iran has always insisted on maintaining convergence and mutual respect to the countries’ sovereignty and forging good neighborliness relations, expecting regional states to follow the suit and not to interfere in other countries’ affairs, Qasemi said, calling on them to place realism, interaction, logic, dialogue, good will and foresightedness top on their agenda.

Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa and Transport Minister Joram Gumbo said on Wednesday the government had paid $41 million for two Boeing 777s and a smaller Embraer aircraft from Malaysia, to be leased to a new airline: Zimbabwe Airways. South African business's biggest obstacle may not be government corruption, economic radicalism or skills shortages. It may be deep-rooted race and gender biases in the mainstream economy - which are more damaging because those who hold them do not know that they do. A pointed example is a court action which cost Mark Lamberti, CEO of motor and logistics company Imperial Holdings, his place on the board of South Africa's state power utility Eskom. The North Gauteng High Court found that Imperial Read the full story

4-16-2018   Intel/Newshound Guru sandyf   Following the redenomination the amount of IQx in circulation would be back around the 20 billion mark and Iraq free to set the value as they saw fit. Just a remote possibility but again the big question, where would the funds come from. I also accept that certain "political" issues would be created but no scenario is without problems. The significant factor in this scenario is that initially it would have absolutely no effect on Iraq, all hinges on funds and an agreement with the international banks.   [post 2 of 2]

4-16-2018   Intel/Newshound Guru sandyf  Despite what some may think I don't believe that it is all doom and gloom and would like to believe that there is something in the background that would lead to a positive outcome, but not in the way that is being suggested. I try and avoid opinion and speculation but there is something that could be considered. ...I do not see any way a large "revaluation" could be implemented in a single move, something that I do agree with Kap [Guru Kaperoni]. If the required funds were to be available then it would be possible for IQD outside Iraq to be bought up without any Iraqi involvement. This would not be a revaluation or any other change in the IQD but effectively private trading. This would significantly reduce the amount of IQD in circulation and open the door to a redenomination in Iraq without any external pressure.    [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

4-15-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan    Now based on that and if I read the above correctly [reference Guru Frank26 post 4-15-2018] those qualified by the CBI to handle the Atm's with the new Lower Denom software were "told to be on stand by for a 24 hr period to activate their ATMs" would have been part of the discussion in the Fiduciary preparations on Thursday, thus, everyone was and is fully aware of their responsibilities now for what is about to happen.   Also if I read that right the 24 hour notice is past tense so the time frame has already possibly started?  imo "YEP"...     [post 2 of 2]

4-15-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan   If the IMF rates are anything like the UN's Opp rates imo that would suggest that last Thursday being a Holiday taken by Iraq, happened to be the 12th which from my recollection would be the day to report the rate in advance to the UN for publication on the 15th and or in this case the IMF possibly the same way.  That same day they (CBI/IMF) apparently reconciled the Fiduciary Preparations for the 2018 budget. They had to have proof (the numbers, calculations, currency) and from what I know about fiduciary responsibilities, it is not taken lightly and would be an applicable matter for reporting.  Just like the UN site suggests "when applicable" rates can change... I suspect all we have known about and studied and the expected outcome of it, puts Iraq into the applicable column for at least the UN.  [post 1 of 2...stay tuned]

4-14-2018 Intel/Newshound Guru sandyf The sanctions were introduced to stop Iraq trading and earning the money they needed. Under normal circumstances the value of a currency is related to the amount in circulation. Kuwait has currently just over 40 billion in circulation and Iraq has around 45 trillion, yet people seem to think they should have a comparable value.

Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi: We could not have won a victory without our fight against corruption

15 April 2018

Prime Minister Dr. Haidar Al-Abadi said that we have not been able to win a favor without our fight against corruption. There is a relationship between the corrupt and the terrorists, and as we regain our country, our land and our citizens, we reaffirm our determination to protect public money.

"We will not hesitate to open any file of corruption, whether the accused is the person or the person, and the corrupt know very well the seriousness of the work we are doing and the seriousness of them," he said in his speech at the opening of the Sixth Ministerial Conference of the Arab Network for the Promotion of Integrity and Combating Corruption.

Dr. Abadi said that the lack of fair distribution of wealth is corruption and it is not permissible for the few to own wealth at the expense of the general public, stressing that we need a revolution to protect public money and achieve social justice. It is not possible to fight corruption by traditional means. Reduce the steps we have taken to reduce the size of corruption. There are thousands of investigation files opened in large cases. Many of the defendants have been referred for investigation and integrity.

He stressed the need for citizens to cooperate and that each citizen bears responsibility for detecting and reporting corruption and assisting investigative committees and to strengthen citizen confidence in regulatory and investigative bodies.
