Mastercard Files Patent to Use Blockchain

https://financialtribune.com/articles/world-economy/84894/mastercard-files-patent-to-use-blockchain
Thursday, April 19, 2018 Mastercard has filed a patent that reveals it might utilize blockchain as a way to protect identity data.
The application, which was originally filed in September 2017 and was released by the US Patent and Trademark Office last week, describes how a semi-private or private blockchain could be used to receive and store identity data, including a “name, a street address, tax identification number” and more, Pymnts.com reported.
“The use of a blockchain for the storage of identity and credential data may provide for an immutable storage of such data that can provide an accurate verification thereof and also prevent the fabrication of such data,” wrote Mastercard in the filing.
As CoinDesk explains, the system would create a “data file” for each entity that is associated with a public key and a “geographic jurisdiction”. These entities would be “subordinate,” while a “superior” entity would place a digital signature on the data.
A “hashing module of the processing server” would then generate an “identity value” for each entity, as well as create a block with a timestamp and record of the most recent block added to the blockchain.
Only certain nodes would be allowed to submit data, which would “prevent the addition of data that may compromise the accuracy of the data stored therein.”
The company went on to explain that the system could possibly replace other ways of proving identity that may be more likely to fall prey to fabrication and inaccuracies.
In such instances, it may be difficult for an entity to disprove a false identity, leading to an interaction with an inauthentic individual or entity. Thus, there is a need for a technical solution to provide for the immutable storage of identity and credential data that may prevent fabrication and inaccuracies,” stated Mastercard.
The company has filed for more than 35 patents in blockchain technology

4-19-2018  Newshound Guru Kaperoni   Another great day [Wednesday] on the CBI auction spread 1201 dinars to $1 US dollar. Well within 2% IMF compliance for 33rd consecutive day.

4-19-2018  Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   ...Iraq is still progressing forward with the reviews and relationship with the World Bankk to join the WTO. They will, however, need a tradable currency at some point. So we wait for this too to give pressure to RV.

4-18-2018   Intel Guru RayRen98   [So your info about banking here matches with that from Kurdistan?]   Yes, they are all saying ‘by the end of the month’.  I don’t care what they say;  I watch what they do, and they are all preparing for this to happen.

4-18-2018   Newshound Guru Kaperoni  The upcoming elections in Iraq could play a critical part in whether monetary reform occurs sooner than later.  Today rumors of al-Maliki supporters tearing down opposition posters. Some say Maliki is paying 50 million dinar to vote for his block.  Monetary reform/currency reform is a must for Iraq to engage with the world economy, more importantly bring investors to Iraq. But can Iraq overcome the opposition?

It doesn’t make any sense for them to have all this money and thousands and thousands of ATM’s unless they are going to RI.

4-18-2018  Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   "ADOPTION OF THE LAW OF OIL AND GAS CONTRIBUTE TO ENDING THE ETERNAL DISPUTE BETWEEN BAGHDAD AND ERBIL"   so here it is in writing – HCL is done! Also I have been telling everyone the contention between the GOI and KRG and that is was all about getting a formal, legal law passed in parliament for how the oil and gas (95% of the wealth of Iraq) is to be managed.

4-18-2018   Intel Guru Frank26   Many firms told there would be a 24 hour notification to turn on ATM's.  There is serious, continual talk about turning on the ATM's.  Lower denoms in the ATM's can't be turned on without a new rate.
4-18-2018  Newshound Guru Walkingstick   [...What is the significance of April 30th to Iraq.]  They have a set date for their rate changes.  Every April of every year, the IMF updates the exchange rate of Iraq.  Iraq does not have to wait till the 30th.  They can do it today or tomorrow but when the IMF updates it will reflect the new rate for Iraq.  It often does not show up for seven days.  Come up on the 7th of May all the nations that changed in the month of April.    They do not have an option.  Again, this is not an option.  They have to do this...

4-18-2018   Intel Guru Bruce
Iraq still has it lower denominations ready to go in their ATMs.  ...those were supposed to be available to the Iraqi citizens today out of the ATMs. Now I couldn’t confirm it...However, I can tell you this, the rates for all of these currencies have been off the screen, on and off, the last few days.   ...yesterday they came back up. So the rates were back on and still on today. That is a good thing because they have been fluctuating and updating so on. So they are solid now. Let’s see if they stay solid. If they do it will be a positive thing for us.  ...What I should say is everyone is in a great place right now. We are hearing things that lead us to believe we are in the precipice of this going down for us.

4-18-2018   Intel Guru Footforward   Nothing has changed. I still expect the RV right away. I feel we are within days. I take that to mean less then 2 weeks.

People carrying around less cash (can use POS), no lines at the banks to get paid (electronic payrolls. Just a total reduction by 2/3 of all cash in circulation. They did it and they are telling us they are successful... an amazing article! WOW.
