Iraq extends curfew until the beginning of Ramadan
Direct: The Supreme Committee for National Health and Safety in Iraq decided to continue the curfew until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
The committee will hold a meeting next week preceding the start of the month of Ramadan, to study the issue, decide the details of this month, and be guided by the opinions of the Diwaniya Command Committee 55 and the advisory board, according to Iraq News Agency, "conscious", today, Wednesday.
The Supreme Committee, headed by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, discussed, through a television circle, the issues prepared for the agenda, developments in the Corona pandemic and the health situation in Iraq, and the improvement in the numbers of casualties and the proposals and recommendations received from the competent authorities .
The committee decided to provide support for the efforts made by health personnel and contributors to protect the Iraqi people from the Corona virus and to prepare a paper by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to take this decision into effect .
The committee discussed the continuous efforts to receive stranded Iraqis, navigation procedures that facilitate their return soon and in cooperation between the relevant authorities and take the necessary preventive health measures .
The Supreme Committee also decided to exclude a number of officials and employees working in the Ministries of Agriculture and Trade from curfews.
Iraq looking with the "Monetary Fund" to stop payment of his debts.

Shiite parties and militias pressure Al-Kazimi to reserve their ministerial portfolios

Sources close to the negotiating delegation of religious leader Muqtada al-Sadr stated that “Shi’ite political parties have started to pressure the prime minister-designate to obtain ministries in his government,” stressing that Al-Kazemi has the support of prominent Shi’ite forces, enabling him to face pressure.
The sources pointed out that the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement led by Qais Khazali and the Fadhila party, which is sponsored by Shiite cleric Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, alluded to their desire to obtain ministries in the Al-Kazemi government.
Asaib wants to keep the ministries of culture and labor that are under its control in the current resigned government headed by Adel Abdel-Mahdi, while the intentions of the Virtue Party are not clear.
If there is a change in any position, there will be no breach of the balance of power despite the fears that have persisted in the Iranian-backed militias.
An Iraqi political observer told “Al-Arab” that Al-Kazemi does not need to be advised to adhere to the elements of the ready-made recipe in order for his government to gain the absolute confidence of the parliament, which is an expression of the parties ’approval of him, as he is the son of the regime, who is entrusted with guarding his most dangerous files.
The observer indicated that his government will be in accordance with the required specifications, not in order to pass it, but because it is not required to make any change.
Likewise, the change, whatever its type and size, will not penetrate the equations and balances of power that the militias have come to control after fear has spread them after the killing of the Quds Force Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, and the deputy leader of the popular crowd, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

And political forces participating in the negotiations expect that Al-Kazimi will go, next Monday, to call the parliament to convene exceptionally in order to ratify the formation of his government, while the session of granting confidence may take place at the end of next week or early next.
Observers are likely to generate the government within ten days, if progress in the negotiations keeps pace.
However, it appears that Al-Kazemi's path will not be easy during the negotiations, with leaks indicating that he will not be able to offer a full cabin during the awaited confidence session.
The leaks say that Al-Kazemi is currently working on settling the names of candidates for ministries, enough to achieve the quorum in the new cabinet, if the number of portfolios is 22, as in the current government, the taxpayer needs to pass at least 12 ministers during the confidence-giving session, so that his government is legitimate , And can take over completely.
The sources say that the Al-Kazemi team is working to resolve the names of all the candidates, but it puts in its calculations the possibility of postponing negotiations on who takes over some portfolios until after the vote on the new government.

Be it a hedge fund or anything, there is not one example and I have tried to find out. Because don't you think if this thing was imminent and this thing was going to get returns, insiders in the banking and finance...don't you think that they would have at least "off book" holdings of IQD? ...I know of other entities outside of the U.S. I've dealt with them. Financial entities and institutions except for that one exception I couldn't find one single financial institution, off book or otherwise that has bought IQD...There's a big disconnect...I'm very friendly with another high-up fund manager - one of the biggest ones in China. He told me whatever it is coming down the pipeline is the biggest financial paradigm shift the world has ever seen.

I personally agree with MM1978 100%...that encircles the weekend of April 25th-26th that weekend. By having a lot of key things that would put stability in place for Iraq over the weekend of the 25th-26th we need to keep our eyes around that time period. The Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety decided to continue the curfew until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, provided that the committee holds a meeting next week before the advent of the month of Ramadan to study the issue and report the details of this month and to be guided by the opinions of the Diwaniya Committee 55 and the Council of Advisors.
This came at the fourth meeting of the Supreme Committee, which was held this afternoon, Wednesday, headed by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, via a television circle, to discuss issues prepared for the agenda, developments in the fight against the Corona pandemic and the health situation in Iraq and what is witnessing an improvement in the numbers of casualties and the proposals and recommendations received from the competent authorities.
The Prime Minister praised the spirit of cooperation and solidarity that prevails in the work of all contributors in combating the epidemic and health personnel, which contributed to achieving progress in this important field, stressing their entitlement to support, thanks and appreciation for their efforts, and stressed the importance of extending the grant to the covered groups and eligible families, and returning Iraqis stranded to their homeland.
The committee decided to provide support for the efforts made by health personnel and contributors to protect the Iraqi people from the Corona virus and to prepare a paper by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to take this decision into effect.
The committee discussed the continuous efforts to receive stranded Iraqis, navigation procedures that facilitate their return soon and in cooperation between the relevant authorities and take the necessary preventive health measures.
In preparation for the harvest and marketing of agricultural produce, the Supreme Committee decided to exclude a number of officials and employees working in the Ministries of Agriculture and Trade from curfews.
