Oil prices exceed $ 50 a barrel

link

Oil prices hit a nine-month high, early Thursday, after US government data showed that crude stocks fell last week, amid optimism about the coronavirus relief package in the United States.

Thursday, Brent crude futures rose 28 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $ 51.36 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 27 cents, bringing the price a barrel to $ 48.09.

Both measures reached their highest levels since early March.

The Energy Information Administration said that US crude stocks exceeded the expectations of analysts who had predicted a decline of 1.9 million barrels, after the stockpiles rose in data last week.

Analysts told Reuters that production also fell, for the first time since late October.

The Energy Information Administration said the operation of crude oil refineries fell by 253,000 barrels per day last week.

Refinery utilization rates decreased by 0.8 percentage points in the week.

To boost oil prices as well, the Federal Reserve said, Wednesday, that it will stick to its low interest rate policy as lawmakers close to agreeing on an additional $ 900 billion in government aid in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, including $ 600 to $ 700 in stimulus checks and extended unemployment benefits. .

On Thursday, the United States expanded its campaign to provide Corona vaccines on the front lines facing the epidemic that killed more than 2,500 Americans daily, and this also contributed to supporting oil prices.

Trillions of dinars printed secretly to pay salaries

link

The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed that the Iraqi government secretly printed trillions of dinars to pay the salaries of employees, which has serious repercussions on the value of the Iraqi currency.

A member of the Finance Committee of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Jamal Cougar, said that since the middle of the year 2020 until now, the Iraqi government has submitted twice a borrowing bill to the House of Representatives, and the Council approved them.

Cougar added in a statement to Yaqeen Agency that securing most of these loans, according to what the government announced, by issuing financial bonds and selling them to the Central Bank, requires that the central bank's reserve is currently much less than it was before mid-2020, but this reserve has not decreased.

Cougar explained that by analyzing this, it becomes clear to us that the Iraqi federal government has secretly printed tens of trillions of Iraqi dinars to pay salaries and cover expenses that have been approved under the law on borrowing, which constitutes a great danger to the value of the Iraqi currency.

12-16-2020   Newshound/Intel Guru Petra  We are down to a very short amount of time based on the IMF's statements from 2 weeks ago.  We've got the BIS waiting to invest in the reserves of the Iraq Central Bank...we've go the UST.  We've got IMF.  The Central Bank.  Everybody is ready to go.

12-16-2020   Newshound Guru Adam Montana   The writing on the wall is about as clear as it can be...follow along and enjoy!  Article:  "A Kurdish bloc reveals the fact that Baghdad and Erbil are close to signing a comprehensive oil agreement"  ...this is HCL.  Quote:  "...delaying solutions delays the completion of the 2021 budget law."  Are we reading that they want the HCL to pass with or prior to the Budget? It sounds that way!   Quote:  "the agreement will be included in the general budget law for next year."  There we have it, kids!  Quote: "the two parties announce within the next two days their new agreement regarding the export of oil and the delivery of customs revenues to the federal government."  This would be today.  [post 1 of 2...stay tuned]

12-16-2020   Intel Guru MarkZ   [via PDK]   On the RV front...I have seen no movement. There are still a number of people in place with great expectations of having something done before the 21st. 12-16-2020   Newshound/Intel Guru Petra    Article quote:   "the exchange rate has reasons and obligations that have decided by the central bank."  ...Their words not ours...watch the CBI...it's coming...

12-16-2020   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   Everything is still on track for early Jan 2021 reinstatementIt is mid-December already and so we should witness the project to delete the zeros sooner than later. Remember that the CBI would like to have 1 to 2 weeks prior to the reinstatement in order to monitor for inflation and make corrections if needed. So we are still moving in the right direction and that is what matters...
