Al-Sadr's return to the electoral race frustrates Maliki's third term
In light of the recent rapprochement between the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Massoud Barzani, the Sadrist movement announced, on the lips of its leader, the cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, last Friday, the twenty-seventh of this August, from al-Hanana, his retraction from the decision to withdraw from the electoral race after it required The national interest is the return. On the other hand, there are apparently political forces that welcomed Al-Sadr’s move, but they embrace another position, based on achieving partisan gains in the absence of Al-Sadr, to be the arena for them to rise. On the ladder of the prime ministership. The best example of these forces is the leader of the state of law, Nuri al-Maliki, who called for reconciliation with all political blocs, especially with al-Sadr, while the spokesman for the Sadrist bloc, Awad al-Awadi, said: “We will not be a false witness about the return of the prime ministership. To al-Maliki,” while the leader of the State of Law coalition took advantage of al-Sadr’s absence from the elections, and held meetings with the Kurds, to reach an agreement between the two sides that would pave the way for developing a road map for understandings after the election results were announced. Prime Minister in the next stage.
Against the background of the recent rapprochement between al-Maliki and Barzani, after a rupture and the exchange of accusations over the past years, questions arose between the political and media circles. Did the Kurds forget the false promises of al-Maliki? Or did he turn a new page by making concessions in exchange for guaranteeing his entry to the government palace, after spending eight years in it that witnessed pivotal events that overthrew his quest for a third term?
The circles welcomed the political return of al- Sadr to the race, topped
the list of welcoming Prime Minister Mustafa Kazmi, which opened the door of possibilities in front of al- Sadr's mandate Kazmi support for the second, and in this context, a political analyst Ibrahim Asamada said : "I feel joy ventured to return the Sadrists to participate in The elections, and this means that I have hope that my green friends will leave, perhaps I will devote myself to writing a book entitled, The Year of the Elephant, Al-Kazemi’s Year in the Republican Palace, without restricting my arrest against an unknown person.
The followers of the Sadrist movement demanded the reopening of
registration on the biometric electoral card after many of them destroyed and burned it, in response to the movement’s decision not to run in the elections. , hired, empty, stupid, vile mercenaries, blameworthy, their leader and their slaves had to spit in their faces, despise and insult them, laugh at them and play with their emotions by making many contradictory decisions.
Resist them oh this one, because they don't deserve life.
The return of the Sadrist movement to the elections resolved the controversy over whether to hold it or postpone it amid the completion of the preparations of the political forces to enter into a fierce competition in all governorates without exception, coinciding with the start of the countdown to the time of
voting.
Opening the doors of economic, industrial and commercial integration and “big energy” projects
In an “analytical reading” on the economic outcomes of the “Baghdad Summit for Cooperation and Partnership,” which was hosted by the Iraqi capital, Baghdad yesterday, with the participation of His Majesty King Abdullah II and a number of leaders of the region and the world, it was stated in the “analytical paper” that the “Baghdad Summit for Cooperation and Partnership” was not a result The moment is not like other peaks, but rather it is unique of its kind and the fruit of a creative effort made by the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi since its formation about a year and a few months ago, specifically in May 2020. And its entity is for President Al-Kazemi to rearrange the internal house, bring the views closer between the different colors of the political spectrum, and form a consensual state that establishes a new phase of rebuilding civil, military and security institutions inside Iraq, which Al-Kazemi’s government seeks to move from the stage of fighting terrorism, with one hand, to activating the other hand through reconstruction.
President Al-Kazemi, in parallel with rearranging the internal house, leading to parliamentary elections on the tenth of next October, began moves to restore Iraq’s regional and international role, which was greatly helped by the great support he received from His Majesty King Abdullah II, in Jordan’s belief in the importance of Iraq’s security and stability, and based on the The well-established historical relations between the two countries and the belief that both Iraq and Jordan constitute the lungs of the economy for the other, and there is a lot of history evidence of that. Then, Jordan opens the door wide to the entry of other economic partnerships in the region through joint (Jordanian-Greek-Cypriot) cooperation. And Cyprus is willing to contribute and invest in projects for the reconstruction of Iraq and through cooperation with the axis (Jordan, Iraq and Egypt).
The Analytical Paper of the Al-Dustour Center for Economic Studies on the outcomes of the “Baghdad Summit” indicated that the Iraqi file was at the forefront of the important regional files discussed by His Majesty King Abdullah II recently during his historic visit to the United States of America. Terrorism, rearranging its internal home and restoring its regional and international role, on the basis that the stability of Iraq is the stability of Jordan, and vice versa. His Majesty the King succeeded in supporting the “Iraqi file” during his dialogues with all rooms and decision-makers in the United States, starting with US President Joe Biden, passing through the Vice President, Minister of Defense, National Security Adviser, Secretary of State and the US Congress with its deputies and sheikhs, and this helped a lot and opened the doors of American acceptance and understanding of what It was put forward by Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi during his recent visit to the United States of America, which immediately followed the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Washington.
Preparation for the Baghdad summit was continuing to gather approvals for its attendance between the neighboring houses and supporting international countries, and there was joint Jordanian-French communication for this, and this matter was embodied by the keenness of French President Emmanuel Macron to attend the summit personally, and His Majesty King Abdullah thanked him for his presence and support during his meeting Yesterday on the sidelines of the Baghdad summit.
The “Baghdad Summit” had completely clear and declared goals embodied in restoring the regional and international role of Iraq, cooperation between neighboring countries to fight terrorism, and entering into economic development partnerships for the reconstruction of Iraq. According to the paper of the “Al-Dustour” Center for Economic Studies, foremost of which is:
The mere convening of the “summit” is a success in itself and evidence of Iraq’s central role in building bridges and promoting regional and international dialogue, as His Majesty King Abdullah II said in his speech yesterday at the opening of the conference.
- The summit succeeded in gathering the “parties” at one table, and this in itself is a great success for the Iraqi diplomacy led by President Mustafa Al-Kazemi, through the participation - in addition to Jordan, Egypt and France: (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Turkey, UAE and Kuwait). All of them agreed on the importance of The role of Iraq and their willingness to support it in the fight against terrorism, work on its stability, support it economically, and contribute to reconstruction projects.
- The summit witnessed Arab, Islamic and international support through the participation of (the League of Arab States - the Organization of Islamic Cooperation - and the Gulf Cooperation Council), in addition to about 20 ambassadors, including the United States of America.
- Even Lebanon was present on the sidelines of the summit, whether through His Majesty King Abdullah II's talks with French President Macron or through an appeal to the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati for the summit to take care of Lebanon.
- The summit formed a great regional and international support for the successes of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and he was keen to move forward with his conciliatory policies locally and regionally to restore Iraq’s role, establish security and security internally and regionally, and revitalize development and the economy to benefit the Iraqi citizen, who has suffered greatly from the scourge of destruction, the decline of the economy and the loss of jobs. It is time to restore the wheel of development and investments.
The economy at the “Baghdad Summit”:
- The title of the summit is a mixture of “cooperation and partnership” and it is in addition to “political and security” cooperation and partnership, that Iraq is looking forward through this summit to partnerships and economic cooperation between all neighboring countries, the region and the world so that Iraq can restore its developmental role first, and because regional projects The next major will reflect positively on Iraq and all the participating and investing countries because of Iraq's human, financial and oil wealth.
- Iraq today has the readiness and ingredients that enable it to launch quickly the stage of development and reconstruction, starting with its strategic partnerships, in which it has made great strides through joint (Jordanian-Iraqi-Egyptian) cooperation, which achieved during 3 years and 4 summits, trade, economic and investment agreements between these three countries, specifically between Jordan And Iraq on the one hand, and between Egypt and Iraq on the other hand, is what enables Iraq specifically to start operating projects in multiple sectors, including contracting, engineering projects, information technology, food and medical industries, in addition to the sectors of industry, trade, energy, transportation and others.
- Iraq is on the verge of major regional projects worth billions of dollars, at the forefront of these projects: the “economic development zone” between Jordan and Iraq with the participation of Egypt, and the “Basra-Aqaba” oil pipeline project. There are aspirations for Egypt to benefit from this line as well - Energy and electricity projects between Jordan and Iraq And the giant Jordanian-Egyptian gas projects, which the countries of the region generally benefit from, including Lebanon through Syria, and certainly the field is always open for Iraqi and regional partnerships with projects that Jordan aspires to put forward soon, foremost of which is the “national carrier project.”
- The region is on the verge of major development projects in the field of energy and transportation, specifically railways. These huge projects were at the forefront of the outcomes of the first Arab economic summit that was held in Kuwait in early 2009, with billions of dollars, but they were neither implemented nor implemented.
From here, there was more than one indication during the “Baghdad Summit” about the need to work on implementing the outcomes of the Iraq Reconstruction Conference hosted by Kuwait in 2018, which needs to be activated, and it seems that the next stage has become conducive to such.
- The summit talked about the importance of cooperation of neighboring countries, the region and the world in facing two problems that the world is suffering from at this stage, namely “the lack of food security - and facing the repercussions of the Corona epidemic.” This was pointed out by His Majesty King Abdullah II during his speech at the summit yesterday.
Economic projects and outputs
in the “Baghdad Summit”:
- Among the most prominent observations of the analytical paper of the “Al-Dustour” Center for Economic Studies on the economic outcomes of the Baghdad Summit, we refer to the following:
- His Majesty King Abdullah II clearly stated that the stage is in urgent need for the efforts of the countries of the region and the world to unite to confront the dangers of food security shortage and the consequences of “Corona.” The region, especially with “Iraq” as well as “Lebanon” and the rest of the countries of the region and the world, also proceeding from what His Majesty referred to in international forums about the need to reset “globalization”.
- It was confirmed during the "summit" that Iraq opens its doors to the reconstruction phase, and announced mechanisms for establishing sustainable economic and investment partnerships in various fields between Iraq and the countries of the region, and that Iraq - as confirmed by Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi during his speech at the opening of the conference - emphasized That there is international seriousness in supporting investment in Iraq, and that there is an effort by the Iraqi government to activate projects and restore life in all Iraqi cities.
- During a press conference held by Iraqi President Barham Salih with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, several matters related to economic cooperation were revealed, including:
- The conclusion of economic contracts in the field of energy between Iraq and France on the sidelines of the "Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership".
- The French President's assertion that France is an economic partner for the reconstruction of Iraq.
- France allocates a budget to support the stability of the liberated areas and is committed to supporting Iraq.
- A framework of French-Iraqi cooperation to combat climate challenges in the coming months.
- No investment , no development without security, safety and stability , and this is what succeeded by Congress through ( the collection of the parties - Iraq 's return to its regional role - down to security and economic partnerships)
- Iraq after the «Conference« looks forward to the start of stage: development and construction
- international support for the elections , the tenth of October The first is the next.. That position also constitutes support for Iraq by restoring the building of its civil and military institutions to achieve security, stability and development.
- Regional and international support for Al-Kazemi’s achievements, and the restoration of Iraq’s position, based on the conference’s assertion that: “Iraq is a security and economic pillar in the region.”
- Aspirations to implement many of the agreements signed between Iraq and neighboring countries and the world to include them in a tangible reality on the economy and development.
- Turkish commitment to achieve strategic infrastructure projects within its commitment to the Kuwait Conference 2018 for the reconstruction of Iraq.
A Saudi-Iraqi fund of about $3 billion and cooperation in the field of energy.
- Iraq's financial and human capabilities and capabilities will enable Iraq to quickly restore its political and economic role.
- Iraq's wars against terrorism cost him huge costs in lives and money.
- The "Baghdad Summit" stressed that Iraq is entering a new phase of construction and development.
- The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Nayef Al-Hajraf, revealed - during the "Baghdad Summit" - preparations for holding the Iraqi Gulf reconstruction and investment conference in the coming period.
- Emphasis on the need to follow up on the outcomes of the Kuwait Conference 2018 to support Iraq economically, and the conference hosted by Kuwait had succeeded in collecting more than (30) billion dollars for the reconstruction of Iraq.
It remains to point out an important point, which is that Jordan, which played an important role through the efforts of His Majesty the King and through communication with the Iraqi brothers, particularly the Iraqi Prime Minister, with the success of the summit in achieving its goals. To discuss expanding the horizons of cooperation with the participating countries, especially in the economic fields.
Just as Iraq is looking forward to the post-Baghdad summit stage with optimism towards the start of the wheel of projects, Jordan will also benefit greatly from the reconstruction projects in Iraq in all its economic sectors, and the region’s major joint projects, all of which are projects that raise growth rates, attract investments and create job opportunities in Iraq, Jordan, Egypt and all countries in the region.
