Ratio of oil revenues to public revenues = 96%

Ratio of non-oil revenues to public revenues = 4%

Oil prices drop amid China's restrictions

link

Oil prices fell on Monday, with expectations of global fuel demand being overshadowed by COVID-19 restrictions in China and the possibility of more interest rate increases in the United States and Europe.

Brent crude futures fell $1.28, or 1.4 percent, to $91.56 a barrel by 03:30 GMT, after settling up 4.1 percent on Friday.

US West Texas Intermediate crude fell $1.34 to $85.45 a barrel, or 1.5 percent, after rising 3.9 percent in the previous session.

Prices changed little last week as gains from a symbolic supply cut by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies including Russia, a group known as OPEC+, were offset by an ongoing shutdown in China, the world's largest importer of crude.

Chinese demand for oil may contract for the first time in two decades this year, as Beijing's COVID-free policy keeps people indoors during the holidays and reduces fuel consumption.

Meanwhile, the European Central Bank and Federal Reserve are prepared to raise interest rates further to tackle inflation, which could raise the value of the US dollar against currencies and make dollar-denominated oil more expensive for investors.

However, global oil prices may rebound by the end of the year - supply is expected to shrink further when the European Union's embargo on Russian oil takes effect on December 5th.

Kurdish politician: Barzani will not sacrifice his interests for his alliance with al-Sadr

link

Kurdish politician Ahmed Al-Bayati confirmed, on Monday, that the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, will not sacrifice his interests for the sake of his alliance with the Sadrist movement.

Al-Bayati said in an interview with Al-Information, that "the meeting in Erbil yesterday between the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani and the leaders of the Sovereignty Alliance, including Al-Halbousi, revealed important variables, most notably that Barzani and Al-Halbousi are not with the compass of the Sadrist movement and his demands to dissolve Parliament, which means the start of intersections that will lead to disintegration." The Triple Alliance, referring to the Alliance to Save a Nation.

He added, "Barzani will not sacrifice his interests for the sake of his alliance with al-Sadr, especially since the dissolution of parliament is considered by the Kurds to be a risk, especially for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which sees that the environment is not conducive to early elections in light of stifling crises in the region and the drop in its popularity significantly."

Al-Bayati pointed out that "the Erbil meeting put points on the letters in terms of determining the points to end the crisis through the re-sessions of the House of Representatives and the formation of a government with full powers, which is the same as what the coordination framework has demanded for months."

Al-Khattabi said in a statement to (The Independent) after his meeting with the Canadian ambassador, "During the meeting, we discussed bilateral relations at various levels and through the federal government, and the importance of developing them in the investment, economic, cultural and educational fields."

He added, "We affirmed the governorate's interest in developing bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two sides, in a way that enhances mutual interests between the two friendly peoples."

A leader of the Sadrist movement responds to al-Maliki's tweet: It's like redundant letters

link

The leader of the Sadrist movement, Sabah al-Saadi, on Monday, disdained the tweet published by the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, about proceeding with the formation of the next federal government.

Al-Saadi, in a tweet on the social networking sites "Twitter", praised the tweets launched by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, saying that "there are some tweets that fall and change governments that make the strongest surprises."

He added that "words that shake the thrones of tyrants are awaited by countries and organizations that are subject to a microscope of studies."

Al-Saadi also alluded to al-Maliki's tweet, and said that "there are some tweets as if they were part of the leaks written by the mentality of conspiracies," adding, "It is forbidden to say words to her, as they are like extra letters."

Al-Maliki said in a tweet he published, yesterday evening, Sunday, that there is no need yet to talk about the dissolution of Parliament.

Al-Maliki wrote, in a tweet to him on Twitter, that "the judiciary ruled that parliament cannot be dissolved, and this means that there are no early elections until after the parliament resumes to hold its sessions and form a new government with full powers."

He added that "the political forces expressed their supportive stance for the judiciary's decision, and announced their rejection of the dissolution of Parliament and the proposed early elections, and this means that there is no need yet to talk about this constitutionally and politically settled issue."

Al-Maliki called for "devote speech, efforts and proposals on how to activate parliament, and how to expedite the formation of a coalition government to achieve the best services and political and security stability."

This comes in the wake of the Federal Supreme Court’s announcement, rejecting the case for dissolving the Iraqi Council of Representatives, because the matter is not within its jurisdiction, but rather within the jurisdiction of the Council of Representatives itself or the presidents of the republic and government.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Sovereignty Alliance, the two poles of "Save the Homeland", which included the Sadrist bloc, stressed earlier today the importance of "holding early elections after preparing the legal requirements and their requirements in accordance with the constitutional mechanisms, preceded by the formation of a government that enjoys full authority and enjoys the confidence and reassurance of all." An agreed government program, emphasizing the need for the House of Representatives to continue its work until the election date.

The so-called "Minister Leader" Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, who is close to the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, had said earlier today, in a post on social media, "We are aware of the many pressures on our allies, but sacrifice in order to end the suffering of an entire people is also a matter." Mahmoud and required, as the people, not the current, are the ones who refuse to rotate faces and re-manufacture a corrupt government again,” noting that “the ball is in the allies’ court, not in the court of the Sadrist bloc.

link

Al-Marsoumi added, in a clarification followed by Earth News, that there are "negative indicators in the financial accounts, according to the state's accounts until July 2022 published on the website of the Ministry of Finance."

The decree's explanation was as follows:

Ratio of oil revenues to public revenues = 96%

Ratio of non-oil revenues to public revenues = 4%

The ratio of actual investment spending to public expenditures = 7.6%

The ratio of the actual investment agreement for agriculture and industry together to the investment expenditures = 7.6%

The ratio of salaries and social care to current expenditures = 71.6%.

He pointed out that "these indicators give an initial impression that the white paper was unable to correct the distortion and correct the course of the Iraqi economy because of its high social cost and the lack of transparency and the supportive social and political environment.

Al-Hilali: The picture has become clear to everyone to end the crisis, form the government and approve the budget

link

A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ayed Al-Hilali, confirmed that everyone identified the locations of the imbalance in the political center and the ways out of the current crisis, pointing out that the country's situation requires everyone to reduce tension and go towards forming the government and approving the budget.

Al-Hilali told Al-Maalouma, "The current situation requires everyone to go to form the government in order to approve the budget and take advantage of the financial abundance in the country achieved by oil sales and go towards budget legislation."

He added, "The picture has become clear to everyone, especially since there have been criticisms leveled at Al-Halbousi in the past days after standing on the hill and not taking a step towards the coordination framework, and therefore today there are initiatives, one of which was put forward by Barzani in the past days in order to resolve the current situation."

Al-Hilali pointed out that "the country's situation requires everyone to reduce tension, avoid tension, and find a specific formula for a solution to overcome the political deficit after it affected all parties in the political process."
