The Governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq, denied that there was a tendency to stop selling the cash dollar to travelers, indicating: “The Central Bank has no problem in covering valid and legitimate requests within the classifications (travelers - study - treatment - special transfers), and that the bank provided this through Through money transfer companies represented by (Western Union and Mini Karam).”

Al-Alaq said in statements to the official agency, followed by / Nina/ He said: “The gradual transition is now taking place from the electronic platform to the direct transfer between the Iraqi bank and the correspondent bank, with an international auditing company in the middle,” indicating: “The Central Bank will finally exit next year from being an intermediary in the process, and that the electronic platform will end and the transfers will become direct.” As internationally approved, this is a major shift that will put things on the right path, accelerate transfer processes, and intertwine relations with international banks.”

He pointed out: “During her visit to Iraq, the US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury praised the measures taken by the Central Bank to organize the external transfer process, implement compliance rules, combat money laundering and terrorist financing, and direct coordination between the Central Bank, the US Treasury and the Federal Bank, and there is very great American satisfaction in This framework.

He explained: “The Central Bank is conducting a review and audit process to diagnose violations against the fourteen banks that were imposed restrictions and denial of obtaining the dollar, after the bank indicated that there was a response and compliance by those banks with the specified standards.”

Al-Alaq continued: “The American side does not restrict the demand for the dollar, and there is coordination regarding cash shipments through an annual agreement on the number of shipments and their dates,” stressing that the Central Bank prefers to use non-cash payment tools through the use of cards (Visa and MasterCard), which There has been a significant increase over the past months, and this is a good indicator that reduces the focus on the use of cash, and reduces the hassle of reviewing companies to obtain the cash dollar.”

Al-Fateh: The American decision still dominates Iraq.. What do we need to get rid of it?

Today, Saturday, the Al-Fatah Alliance said that the American decision is still “dominant” over Iraqi political decision-making, and while it confirmed that the country has not fully recovered, it indicated the possibility of removing Iraqi funds from American custody.

The leader of the coalition, Aed Sahib, said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “America is putting pressure on Iraq because it has not completely emerged from the UN resolutions, especially since the process of removing Iraqi funds from American custody may cause the loss and seizure of these funds.”

He added, "The Iraqi state's decision has not fully recovered. If we want to compare the strength of the Iraqi decision and Qatar's in dealing with the United States of America, we notice that the latter has a very great advantage, as it possesses large sovereign funds."

The leader of the Al-Amiri coalition explained, “These policies confirm one thing, which is that Iraq has not officially recovered, and the American decision is still dominant and in control of Iraqi political decision-making.”

Sahib said: “We need a long period for Iraq to get rid of these accumulations and control its economic situation away from America.”

The head of the Victory Alliance, Haider al-Abadi, had previously confirmed that America is imposing measures on us regarding the dollar without stopping its smuggling through the banks of Turkey and the Emirates, indicating that Washington considers Iraq a “wall of fate.”

During the current period, America has worked to destroy the Iraqi currency by imposing sanctions on Iraqi banks and banning the dollar under many pretexts, which in one way or another led to a severe financial crisis in the Iraqi markets.

Al-Alaq said in a statement to the official agency, “There are discussions to regulate the import process with Iran in a way that does not expose Iraq to any problems by violating the sanctions,” noting that “the Central Bank will reach a clear formula in organizing the trade process with Iran.”

He added, "There is work to adopt the UAE dirham, the Turkish lira, the Indian rupee, and the euro as part of the process of facilitating external transfer."

conomist Mustafa Hantoush confirmed that the issue of bridging the gap between the dollar exchange rate in the parallel and official market requires preparing an economic plan based on reducing imports and supporting local industries, noting that the Central Bank insists on the continuation of trade chaos.

Hantoush said in a press interview seen by “Taqaddam” that “America is increasing its stranglehold day after day on the movement of the dollar to the countries on which they impose economic sanctions,” indicating that “Iraq practices open lying on this issue, as the official Iraqi statements are conflicting. Iraq announces that it has prevented dollar smuggling operations and has prevented trade with the sanctioned countries, including Syria and Iran, but in reality these measures have not been implemented, and the Americans have exposed this game.”

He added that the United States, day after day, is tightening the noose around Iraq by imposing sanctions and complicating procedures, the most recent of which was the visit of the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism Affairs, so she gave orders to stop the direct sale of the dollar in the currency market, which ostensibly supplies travelers, but in reality it goes. “Smuggled to the sanctioned countries, the Central Bank took the decision to reduce the direct sale of the dollar by half, which led to a decrease in the Central Bank’s sales from 30 million dollars to 7 million.”

He pointed out that “the solution to this dilemma is to prepare an economic plan to be presented to the United States of America that includes abandoning the import of some goods that can be manufactured locally and finding other outlets for import through agreement with the Chamber of Commerce,” noting that “it is possible to request facilities from the United States through... Tri-Trade Platform and Shared Accounts.”

Hantoush stated, “These proposals have always been rejected by the Central Bank, which insists on the continuation of trade chaos.”

Today, Thursday, a member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Representative Sajjad Salem, spoke about the Oil and Gas Law.

Salem said in a statement to “Earth News” agency, “The law so far is just a draft and has not reached the Iraqi Council of Representatives, as passing this law requires a political agreement between the existing political blocs, and until now there are disagreements on this issue, and there are also negotiating committees between the center and The region regarding the oil and gas law.”

He added, "This law is very important and long overdue, especially as we are an oil-producing state. It is unnatural for the oil and gas law not to be in effect yet, as this law must be based on the constitution and in some of its articles it stipulates wealth sharing, wealth management, and management of joint oil fields, and it must be based as well." To the decisions of the Federal Court because they have become binding and must be taken into consideration.”

The representative of the State of Law coalition, Muhammad Al-Ziyadi, confirmed today, Saturday, that the lack of consensus prevented the adoption of important laws of economic and political benefit in Iraq, including oil and gas.

Al-Ziyadi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “The House of Representatives, since the beginning of its current session, has not completed any important law except the draft budget, and this is what has put us in the face of many criticisms,” pointing out that “the government has not sent any law to Parliament since its appointment except the budget.” .

He added, "The lack of consensus between the political forces is behind the failure to approve important laws that have a direct relationship to the lives of citizens."

Al-Ziyadi called on the state administration forces to "hold new sessions in order to agree on a number of laws, including oil and gas, and to instruct the government and parliament to put them to a vote."

A member of the Legal Committee, Mudar Al-Karawi, confirmed in a previous statement to Al-Maalouma that more than 20 laws will be proposed in the House of Representatives, the most important of which is the oil and gas law, but resolving it requires political consensus by all forces.
