Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed with his Austrian counterpart Iraq's active role in converging views between the regional neighbors to solve some problems of common interest, and move from the stage of differences to the stage of economic cooperation and partnerships in a way that serves security and stability in Iraq and the region.

Oil rises in global markets

OPEC + sources said that despite the expected rapid return to US crude production, OPEC + expects the market to suffer a deficit at least until the end of 2021.

But if the United States doesn't have as much control as they did and somehow we pull more troops out of Iraq you're going to see a de-dollarization and you're going to see them add value to their currency literally overnight. And you need to get out [of the dinar/exchange]. You need to be prepared...it's not going to threaten the revelation of the Iraqi dinar. If anything it's going to quicken it and that's the way you have to look at it.

Second / Amending Paragraph (2) of Cabinet Resolution (295 of 2021) as follows:
Transferring all unused amounts of electric power import allocations, estimated at 300,000,000 dollars, only three hundred million dollars, at the expense of the operating budget of the Ministry of Electricity to cover part of the deficit in the allocations for the purchase of fuel.
Third/
1- Approval of increasing the capital of the Industrial Bank of Iraq by an amount of (15,000,000) dinars, one hundred and fifty billion dinars, based on the provisions of Article (10/First) of the amended Public Companies Law (22 of 1997).
2- The Ministry of Finance has taken the necessary measures to implement the above.

Approval of the plan of the Ministry of Electricity to implement a project to produce solar electric energy to reach a production capacity of (7.5) seven and a half gigawatts, according to economic models that take into account the international standards adopted in terms of the rapid technological development in this field.
Second / Amending Paragraph (2) of Cabinet Resolution (295 of 2021) as follows:
Transferring all unused amounts of electric power import allocations, estimated at 300,000,000 dollars, only three hundred million dollars, at the expense of the operating budget of the Ministry of Electricity to cover part of the deficit in the allocations for the purchase of fuel.
Third/
1- Approval of increasing the capital of the Industrial Bank of Iraq by an amount of (15,000,000) dinars, one hundred and fifty billion dinars, based on the provisions of Article (10/First) of the amended Public Companies Law (22 of 1997).
2- The Ministry of Finance has taken the necessary measures to implement the above.
Fourthly/
1- To authorize the Director General of the General Tax Authority, the power to negotiate and initialize a draft agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion on income and capital, between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Ukraine, based on the provisions of Article (80/VI) of the Constitution.
2- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs prepares the necessary authorization document on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Iraq to the Director General of the General Tax Authority, according to the approved contexts, and submits it to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers; In order to obtain the signature of the Prime Minister.
Fifth / Approval of the draft law on the service of science, which was reviewed by the State Consultative Council, and referred to the House of Representatives, based on the provisions of Articles (61 / Clause First, and 80 / Clause Two) of the Constitution, taking into account the note of the legal department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Established according to its memorandum numbered (MD/Q/2/2/31/169 LC) dated April 8, 2021.
Sixth / Approval of the allocation of the Ministry of Finance (500,000,000) dinars, five hundred million dinars to the General Directorate of Yazidi Survivors Affairs of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs from the emergency reserve for the fiscal year / 2021, based on the provisions of Article (5) of the Federal General Budget Law for the fiscal year /2021.

The Central Bank: The "Iraq Marshall Project" provided job opportunities for women and restarted factories

Mubasher: The Central Bank of Iraq announced, today, Tuesday, the success of the housing initiative, which absorbed the housing problem, while noting that the (Iraq Marshall Project) provided job opportunities for women and restarted factories.
Deputy Governor Ihsan Shamran al-Yasiri told the Iraqi News Agency "conscious" that "the bank launched two initiatives related to housing, the first with 5 trillion dinars and the other with one trillion dinars, for a total of 6 trillion dinars.
And he indicated that "the first initiative is through the real estate bank to buy housing units in or outside the complexes, in addition to the second initiative in the Housing Fund to finance the construction of housing units by the public, which witnessed a wide turnout for them."
He added that "the housing initiative is considered one of the most successful initiatives because it has absorbed the housing problem," noting that "the housing initiative, which extends to 20 years without benefits, except for a simple commission."
He continued: "We launched one trillion for private banks to meet the various demands of the public, including housing, in addition to initiatives for the agricultural and industrial sectors," explaining that "this initiative since 2015 until now has enhanced liquidity and given opportunities to the public to compensate for government jobs through financing, investments and employment."
Al-Yasiri affirmed that "the Iraq Marshall Project gave hope for the employment and empowerment of women and the re-run of the factories," noting that "the project is large and is still ongoing."
And about the reserves of the Central Bank, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank stated that "the Central Bank's reserves of hard currency have so far reached 60 billion dollars."
