The Cabinet held its regular session on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi.

The Council voted to amend Resolution No. 11 of 2015 on the draft border control agreement and intelligence cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

A vote was taken on the restructuring of the committee to consider the records of appreciation and valuation, which is composed of ministries and entities not affiliated with the Ministry on the sale of state-owned housing units.

The Board also voted on the evaluation of institutional performance.

The vote on the proposed law to amend the law of the Independent High Electoral Commission No. 11 of 2007.

During the meeting, the needs and services of the residential areas in Baghdad and the governorates were presented and the necessary measures were taken on them as follows:
1. An operations room was formed in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers from the relevant ministries and agencies to follow up the basic service needs in Baghdad and the governorates and implement them with the national effort in ministries and local governments.
2. The directorates of planning in the governorates and the Ministry of Planning to follow up those needs and submit their reports and authorize the operations room the necessary powers to carry out its tasks.
3. The Ministry of Finance shall provide the necessary funding to cover the required expenses.

He added that "the agreement was signed between the two countries, which will replace the previous agreement signed in 1957."
"The Saudi side has discussed with the Saudi side the maritime transport agreement and the opening of transport lines for ports and railways between the two countries to serve the bilateral cooperation between them," he said.
