Release date: 2019/2/6 10:40 • 168 times read
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The political blocs need to sit down with the government and military leaders to discuss the presence of US troops in Iraq, instead of passing a resolution or a law to remove them, a member of the House of Representatives on the new generation opposition bloc Sarkot Shamsuddin said.
"According to the strategic framework agreement signed between the United States of America, there is a paragraph prohibiting the use of Iraqi land, sky and water to attack any other country, as well as not to allow the construction of military bases so as not to prolong the length of stay," Shamseddine said in a statement received by the {Euphrates News} Noting that "the Iraqi constitution does not allow that too."
He added that "the parliamentary blocs need to hold a joint meeting with the government and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and security leaders to discuss the terms of the Strategic Framework Agreement, and do not need quick and unacceptable responses to the presence of these forces in Iraq and statements not considered by the President of the United States."
"US-Iraqi relations are important and are in the interest of the two countries economically, politically and militarily, by training Iraqi forces and arming them," he said, adding that "the presence of US forces at the moment is not an occupation but is at the request of the Iraqi government. "He said.
"The threat of these forces by neighboring countries or others is not entirely permissible, and must be dealt with seriously."
A member of the opposition New Generation bloc said he had held meetings with his counterparts in Congress, the State Department, and other Middle East experts and experts. They said that Trump's recent remarks were random and did not represent the policy of the US government. Complete with its Iraqi counterparts in the presence of US forces and their future in Iraq. "

Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi parliament: quotas are the main cause of corruption
Halabousi: 55 deputies submitted legislation to remove US forces .. And must be approved by the Prime Minister
Wednesday 06 February 2019,
Baghdad - Agencies: The Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Mohammed Halbusi, the Council received a request to reorganize the presence of US troops in the country. Halabousi said that Iraq still needs the efforts of the international community in the fight against terrorism.
This came in statements made by the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to a number of media on the sidelines of his presence in the launch of the events of the Rafidain International 2019 in Baghdad.
Delegates from 22 countries will take part in the forum, which will be attended by local and international officials and academics to discuss various security, economic, energy, education and other issues, organizers said.
Halaboussi said in his statement that Iraq still needs the efforts of the international community in the fight against terrorism, and to fulfill its obligations to Iraq and support his government.
Trump announced on Sunday to keep a US military base in Iraq so Washington could watch Iran.
Halabousi said that «the House of Representatives received a request from 55 deputies to legislate the law to remove foreign troops from Iraq», noting that «the presidency of parliament, will discuss the request submitted after the return of the House of Representatives to convene in March next». He explained that «the issuance of any law to remove foreign forces from Iraq requires a position of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces Adel Abdul Mahdi» pointing out that «will be a request to Abdul Mahdi to come to parliament to detect the number of foreign troops in the country and the role played».
"The Iraqi and regional situation requires moving away from the current conflict between a number of countries, so we have to wait for the stability of Iraq completely and then sit down and talk about a decision to pull out the American forces," Halaboussi said. He pointed out that «Iraq must have strong relations with neighboring countries and the region and the world».
For his part, the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Hassan al-Kaabi described corruption as a disease that hit the Iraqi body, pointing out that «his treatment is not imposed by sanctions only, but we have to study the causes and symptoms and start from the past and work in the present and master the future preventive policy».
Al-Kaabi said during his participation in the «Rafidain Forum for Dialogue» held in Baghdad that «the role of the House of Representatives to fight corruption is the establishment of an integrated system of legislation and work under it through coordination and participation with the institutions concerned», stressing that many of the laws passed during the previous parliamentary sessions and continued «during This session is keen to legislate the laws we call «guarantor» because they contribute directly to reduce this phenomenon ». The Good Hotel witnessed the fifth session of the work of the Rafidain Forum for dialogue was entitled «rule of law and governance in Iraq the application of prospects for reinforcement».
Al-Kaabi answered questions during the dialogue about who can hold accountable the officials and most importantly the accountability of the parties and the role of the judiciary is very important in laying the foundations of justice and its ability to charge officials and employees of different levels and citizens equally. "I do not know why some parties insist on nominating ministers through their political system. You may think they will be able to implement their programs, but some blocs have left the matter to the prime minister. We have noticed that those chosen by the government are more likely to implement well thought out programs. Of the pressure of their parties, which forced them even in the selection of directors of their offices and their secretaries to facilitate the work of the party and not the minister and so I think that moving away from quotas is the beginning of the right path towards a free Iraq from corruption. "One of the obstacles to combating corruption is CPA Order No. 55, which is still in effect until this moment, under which the system of public inspectors was established and its work within the ministries made it unable to carry out its functions independently, not to mention the lack of resources and technical and administrative capabilities," al-Kaabi said. . Al-Kaabi also blamed the government for continuing to run many bodies and leadership positions at various levels through what is known as "proxy management", an unsafe factor to fight corruption.

2-6-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan Article: "Published the text of the Budget Law 2019 after the ratification of the President of the Republic" Well, imo every citizen in Iraq, including the politicians are looking for the public announcement now on the results that should be found within the 2019 Budget. The rate for many things and imo most likely HCL monies are in there, which has to be what everyone in the world that owns Dinar is waiting for... The citizens may get retroactive pay too...So by this and with Franks [Guru Frank26] opinion among others everything is done and we await for it to come to us.
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru Adam Montana If you’re not already squirming, let me tell you - this is awesome news. A happy GOI is a GOI that we can get behind, because it’s one that is more likely to RV. And this is possibly the happiest we’ve ever seen them! ...we have more...I’m trying to contain my excitement...We may have an HCL agreement shortly! ...THIS is the kind of movement we need to see for an RV to happen, and I didn’t want to release the news without a full confirmation...you know I’ve been on an “HCL-requirement” ...No HCL = no RV...and now, after a long ride, it's not just on the horizon - it's coming at us, lights flashing and horns blaring! ... the time that we have been waiting on may be over. There is news out right now that is more encouraging regarding the HCL than ANYthing I have ever seen, and that means we’re almost there. [post 2 of 2]
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru Adam Montana ...the stars are lining up very nicely right now. ...First, the budget was submitted, signed, and looks like it will be passed, with a HUGE keynote - a significantly acceptable portion of the budget going to the Kurds. This has been a major point of contention between the parties over the years, in fact it’s possibly the biggest point of disagreement and reason for delays in the budget approval process in recent history. ...the budget...needs to be published in the Gazette to be official. This may be happening yet this week, and if it does...that will be insanely quick. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Huge juice this morning...the US Treasury acknowledges they are ready to support Iraq and Kurdistan in promoting a market economy. This announcement is probably the best news that Iraq is ready to open up to the worlds financial system.
2-5-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG ...we have PLAINLY published the FACTS surrounding the Kuwaiti reinstatement over and over and over. It was nothing like the various rumors portrayed on the internet... Any comments made by President Trump regarding prosperity are tied directly to his policies and have nothing to do with any future value change of the Iraqi Dinar. Value change or no – the math just doesn’t add up. A massive change in Dinar value doesn’t even bump the needle of the US financial engine. [reference Guru RVAlready post 2-4-2019]
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru Kaperoni So the 2019 budget was signed into law today...those hoping for a RV or some other overnight change in value as a result will be disappointed. Not how it works...
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru Adam Montana Article: "The President of the Republic approves the Federal Budget Law" [Hope it doesn't take 2 weeks to get published in the gazette...] ...the timing of this publication will be very important...
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan Article: "Central Bank: We bought 20 trillion treasury transfers to move the market" Quote: "With the increasing confidence of international banks in the Central Bank of Iraq and the lifting of restrictions and barriers" I really do think this article is massive in that it shows they are ready to defend their new currency!! They have now told us they are ready to go live with an international exchange company that will be traded on the Iraq Stock Exchange...In addition... we see the lifting or restrictions from the CBI directly. The CBI is talking very loud...imo. Well, them telling us they have lifted restrictions and now having populated them selves with 20 Trillion in treasuries to support their currency, it is all but go time. imo.
2-5-2019 Newshound Guru Kirk H. Sowell So after a long delay, today [Monday] Iraqi President...signs the 2019 budget into law. The delay was due to parliament wanting to make amendments to the budget after it was "passed" on Jan. 24. They just sent it to Salih two days ago.
