A resent article from an interview with Dr. Mohammed Saleh, economic advisor to Prime Minister al – Abadi, was very optimistic in resolving Iraqi debt and moving forward with the economic reforms to a “market economy”. I believe that in order to take their place in a market economy (this next step) they must adjust away from their “closed” sanctioned economy that is stifled by the govt. This means they must also have a currency that is tradable and easy to use. Currently with the 3 zero notes they do not have it.
