US State Department: Kurdistan referendum is very disappointed and support a united Iraq

Release date: 2017/9/26 10:4780 times read

{Continue: Al Furat News} The United States expressed its "deep" disappointment of the referendum of the Kurdistan region for separation from Iraq.
"The United States has been deeply disappointed by the decision of the provincial government to hold a referendum on unilateral independence and to involve the disputed areas," US State Department spokesman Heather Naort said in a statement.
"This non-binding referendum will not affect the historic relations of the United States with the Kurdish people in the region."
"This step will increase the difficulty and instability of the region and its people," she said. "Relations between the region's administration and its neighbors and the central government will undoubtedly be affected by the referendum."
"The continuation of the war against the terrorist advocate," she said, expressing the hope that "extremist groups" would not use this process, referring to the referendum.
The US official reiterated her country's support for "a united, federal, democratic and prosperous Iraq and will continue to seek opportunities to help Iraqis achieve their aspirations within the framework of the constitution."

Kurdistan region is exposed to the first repercussions of the referendum

Editorial Date: 2017/9/26 0:111629 times read
{Continue: Euphrates News} Some Kurdish leaders describe the referendum that took place Monday on the independence of the Kurdistan region from Iraq as a historic opportunity through which the Kurds can determine their fate after years of repression.
However, there was little enthusiasm for voting in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
According to Reuters, in the early hours of the voting did not stand long lines in front of the polling stations in the city of Sulaymaniyah, as expected from a people who dreams of a lifetime independent state.
About two hours after the polling stations opened, only a small number of people cast their votes and calm prevailed over much of Sulaymaniyah.
The sharp contrast between this calm and the celebrations in another major Kurdish city, Erbil, highlighted the divisions among the main political parties, pointing out problems waiting for the administration to handle any future state.
Some officials in the Sulaimaniya-based Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) have warned that the referendum could bring problems with Turkey and Iran and that it should have taken place at a more opportune time.
These two neighboring countries fear that the region's independence will push their Kurds to demand change, while the Iraqi government says the referendum is unconstitutional.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Erbil insists that it is time for the Kurds to run their affairs after many years of persecution by the ousted regime and others.
Some voters questioned the intentions of KDP leaders and questioned whether they had the resources and the will to run an independent state.
In Sulaymaniyah, banners urging people to vote were few, and those who voted said they would support independence from Iraq.

On the outlook for higher exports in the future, OPEC Secretary-General Mohamed Barkindo said oil exports from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region are expected to increase by 7.5 million bpd between 2017 and 2040 to boost growth in emerging economies led by India and China .
The OPEC ministers meeting in Vienna said they could wait until January before deciding to extend production restrictions aimed at subsidizing prices beyond the first quarter of 2018.
OPEC members and other producers, including Russia, have cut production by 1.8 million bpd since early 2017, helping lift oil prices by 15 percent in the last three months.
OPEC and its allies are considering extending the deal beyond its current deadline at the end of March 2018

"Abadi .. From the fronts of fighting to the diplomacy of the victor"

Quotes:
"Saudi Arabia expressed its desire for a strategic partnership with the victorious Iraq, promising to enter the Iraqi market..."

"...the Amir of Kuwait all members After a successful round of negotiations, investment, industry and agriculture files were discussed..."

"...The game was not easy...especially the next on the same plane from an important and successful visit to Saudi Arabia's arch-enemy of Iran...but Abadi could convince the makers of Persian carpets quickly..."

"...Al-Abbadi returned to Baghdad and in his bag promises of good Iranian and Gulf restoration of Iraq for its regional role and cultural and cultural status." ..."Iraq has also announced its retirement from the game of sectarianism and concentration in any of its trenches..."

This is the most powerful post I have ever seen to date...what a piece it is! If this is not National Reconciliation, I am not sure there is any to be found. Abadi has been to see all three in one flight.

The accolades come from with not only red carpet but from the likes of Kings, Princes, Presidents, Emirs, the highest in the Regions! Saudi Arabia and others have the keys for the future and that is support, that is given to Iraq through Abadi's leadership and ability to unit where sectarianism is now lost. They have successfully negotiated investment, industry, agriculture and importantly political and security files. They have retired the sectarianism! They have found deep corruption in so deep and over $300 billion. Yes, this is going to stun the world, and I'll bet in short order in more ways than most will ever imagine! Abadi has said he will keep digging.. I suspect the power house he is, it will to stun the world even more!
Frank26 Abadi has been hard at work while the UN waited, all planned. Re: Referendum vote: What the Kurds are doing is just a rebellion - the UN said no, and no means no. 9-27-2017   Intel/Newshound Guru payray   Article:  "What will happen in the session of the House of Representatives tomorrow?"   "The Office of Prime Minister Haider Abadi, on Tuesday, the federal government imposed "administrative" sanctions against Kurdish officials against the backdrop of the referendum, noting that Baghdad will deal with the Kurdistan region as part of Iraq regardless of the referendum."  Important meeting tomorrow... Abadi is supposed to be attending this meeting... Again, with the situation that has been ongoing, this is his time to show his ability to lead the country, while being able to establish trust with the whole of Iraq... Good stuff.

9-27-2017   Newshound Guru Kaperoni   [Currently dinar is a dead currency it's not expected anywhere, maybe in Iraq but that doesn't help the investors.]  That is not true. It is the currency of Iraq and is used throughout Iraq everyday. It's value will not RV...but rise via...a float to combat inflationary pressure created by investment through the CBI 's Capital Account. That is how it works...The dinar will appreciate in value, just not yet.

The text of the speech of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Dr. Haider Al-Abbadi during his visit to the headquarters of joint operations

September 25, 2017

"All the villages in the east of the Tigris north of the Zab and Zab are now completely under the control of our units and in a short time, and God willing we exhort citizens to liberate the west of Kirkuk and all the cities surrounding the Hawija, today we are at the same time that our troops are fighting The referendum and the unconstitutional challenge that has taken place will not prevent our forces from continuing the fighting. We have a priority in this confrontation, which is to eliminate the evils and return the displaced to their homes, and nothing concerns us from this basic priority.
With regard to the referendum, it is unconstitutional and the Federal Court has decided not to conduct it. However, it has been enacted. The Constitution is the rule between us. If we disagree in the Constitution, the Federal Court will resolve this dispute. It is not our right or the right of any other party to interpret the constitution as it wishes.

The referendum was conducted without any international recognition. The strange thing is that the officials who decided on the referendum themselves conducted the referendum, and they themselves announced its results without any neutral legal supervision, so there will be no impact on this referendum and its results. If it is intended as a general opinion, we are not ready to discuss the results of the referendum. Because it is unconstitutional and illegitimate and its actions are incorrect, whether by international standards or Iraqi standards and even by the standards of the same region, so that the President of the Parliament of the province considered it illegal, and therefore will not deal with the results of the referendum, and there are measures we have and will do now and its goal not to punish Atunaina Kurds because they are our citizens and will not Ntky for the protection, security and well-being of our citizens, the Kurds and all Iraqis and Snahami them and defend them do not want to touch them any harm or bad but certainly belong to those responsible for the chaos and sedition, which stepped up the national and sectarian friction at a time when Iraqis unite all
We will step up our procedures to charge those who have taken responsibility and not citizens

All the federal authorities will impose it in the region and we will ensure the protection of all citizens and disputed areas must return to the federal authority according to the Constitution and we have procedures in this aspect and our security forces will defend all Iraqis, including our citizens Kurds
There are those who raise issues of sectarianism and racism and the other bear all the problems of the past and the Baathist Baathist regime has committed outrageous crimes against all Iraqis by tyranny and injustice. It is wrong to hold the Arabs responsible. It is wrong to blame a certain sect. This responsibility is the responsibility of those who lined up with the regime of Saddam Kurds and Arabs who oppressed the Kurds They are Baathists Arabs and Baathists Kurds and those who oppressed Arabs are Baathists Kurds and Baathists Arabs

And who bears the responsibility for this injustice is the body and the people who carried out this persecution and bears responsibility the people of Baghdad and the rest of Iraq
This is a dangerous approach to accuse the other of a racist way that accuses the other of all the previous crimes and bear responsibility All those who participated with the regime of Saddam bear these crimes and more Iraqis have signed the injustice of Saddam
Our security forces are not like the previous forces. Their aim is to protect the citizens and you see what they did in Ninewa and Mosul sacrificed themselves to protect the citizens and these forces that protect the citizens and protect Iraq, not Saddam's army.

We have a law and a constitution that governs the method of imposing the de facto situation, seizing the land by force and persecuting the citizens, as happened in this referendum. There were rejections, threats, manipulations, manipulation of everything, threats of the people by force, and others who were persecuted. And threatened if they did not go to the referendum and this is a lot happened in the disputed areas and in the regions of the province and this will not continue
And it is a mistake that bears responsibility for who did it will remain loyal to all our citizens and we will remain loyal to the unity of Iraq

The troops who fought and fought did not fight for this or that person but fought for one unified Iraq and for all citizens to be together. "

"The referendum is a unilateral process that does not respect the partners and its repercussions are catastrophic, and we want the Kurds to negotiate because the constitutional procedures of the federal government will harm them," Abadi said at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
"We will not negotiate with the region on the results of the referendum because it is illegal and contrary to the Constitution and can cancel the results of the referendum and then return to negotiate," stressing "will not secede from the unity of Iraq and this constitutional duty and the Constitution stressed the unity and sovereignty of Iraq."
"Iraq is strong with all its sons and will be weak by the weakness of its two sons," noting that "under the tyrant was using Iraq strong to suppress the people and today, on the contrary, strong Iraq to protect the people."
Abadi said that "some unfortunately plan a weak Iraq and imagine it will be stronger and it is wrong," noting that "the mood of the Iraqis is the rejection of sectarianism and chauvinism and some want to restore chauvinism and say we and they, and prefer a nationality or a sect on another."
He warned the Prime Minister "of the repercussions of the referendum, which will cause damage in Kurdistan and Iraq in general," surprising "throwing the crimes of the former regime from one nationality to another."
He stressed that "the federal government will not practice the practices of repression as in the former regime and do not follow the sectarian approach and sectarian and racist, but we will impose power according to the Constitution."

Abadi stressed that "the government has begun to implement measures on the region but will not affect the dignity of citizens and their livelihood, especially the Kurds," accusing "the Kurdish media to translate our statements and actions by mistake and delete many things to prevent the arrival of the truth of the Kurdish citizens, but we emphasize that all our actions are not directed against the Kurdish people, To tighten the protection of the Kurdish citizens in Baghdad and any province they are in and will not allow harm to any Iraqi citizen, especially the Kurdish citizen and will remain Iraqis and defend them and their interests. "
He added that "our decisions towards the region is merciful to the Kurdish people to take care of their interests and away from any friction we are strong in the unity of our people and not aggression and punishment, and we have no punitive action against the Kurds, but some want to get things to fight hatred statements and we asked the region to hand over oil to the federal government And we will restore resources to the budget and allocate it to the people of the region. "
He pointed out that "Turkey remains a neighboring country and has become a joint military exercise, which is healthy to protect the border between the two countries and the region as well."
"Our forces have achieved victories in Anbar and Hawija, and we have not changed our priorities in the war. We are continuing to liberate all Iraqi territory. We will soon liberate other areas and liberate a large part of the occupied area in Kirkuk," he said.
He said that "Da'ash is still occupying parts of the Iraqi territory, including part of Kirkuk, and there are those who want to drag us into an internal crisis to divide Iraq through an unconstitutional, illegitimate and rejected referendum locally and internationally."
