10-year yield hits highest in 7 years as investors bet on roaring economy, higher inflation
U.S. government debt yields added to a marked climb higher Thursday, making new multiyear highs a day after strong economic data ushered investors into riskier assets.

Global bond yields just exploded
Business Insider
US bond yields rose across the curve on Wednesday, hitting multiyear highs. Strong US economic data was the catalyst, with service-sector activity improving at its second-fastest pace on record while hiring in the private sector surged in September. The lift in US yields helped fuel strong gains in the greenback. In the past, the combination of higher US yields and a higher dollar has not gone down well in emerging markets. Global bonds yields just spiked to multi-year highs — and it's fueling everyone's biggest fear about markets
Business Insider
The US 10-year Treasury yield surged as high as 3.23% on Thursday to its highest level since mid-2011, and other bond markets around the world joined the action. The increase resulted from strong economic data in the US, which fueled speculation the Federal Reserve would hike rates quicker than expected. Such tightening of liquidity conditions has long been viewed by Wall Street experts as one of the biggest risks to markets going forward. HSBC issues first Islamic bond tied to UN development goals
Iraq, October 6, 2018

SULAIMANI — HSBC Amanah, the Malaysian Islamic banking arm of HSBC Holdings, has raised 500 million ringgit ($120.63 million) worth of Islamic bonds linked to the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

The deal is the latest effort to combine the religious principles of Islamic finance with sustainable development themes promoted by the UN, such as poverty eradication and financing clean energy, Reuters reported on Thursday (October 4).

Malaysia’s central bank issued guidelines this week to encourage Islamic banks to become more involved in socially and environmentally themed activities.

Proceeds from the senior unsecured Islamic bonds, or sukuk, will be used to finance businesses and projects that fit the bank’s sustainable development goals bond framework, the issuer said.

The sukuk are due in 2023 and priced at a fixed profit rate of 4.3 percent, which the lender said was the lowest coupon for a five-year non-government guaranteed bond issuance in the Malaysian market this year.

The deal attracted orders of 1.4 billion ringgit, with bids from 25 accounts primarily from government agencies, pension funds and financial institutions.

HSBC Amanah, RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, and Maybank Investment Bank Berhad acted as joint lead managers for the transaction.

HSBC issued its first bond tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals in 2017, raising $1 billion as part of a commitment to provide $100 billion in sustainable financing by 2025.

10-6-2018   Intel Guru Frank26   This has been a masterful plan. It’s been right along with what we call the FAB4, you know, the IMF, the United States Treasury, and the World Bank, and they are now reporting to the BIS, and saying...this is what we’ve got...We have a date, and we work with them, we are ready to go. ...they are going to start pumping small categories into the markets gradually ending the crisis.  No kidding! THIS IS THE RI!!! THIS IS THE RV!!! ...Sounds like a good plan...
10-5-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan   They are clearly telling us that they are bringing in the new currency, they even tell us they spent a small fortune in doing so!! The only thing they haven't showed us yet is the New Small Currency and Coins...Notice, I said, "Yet". ...Who is to say, they haven't shown the citizens the new notes and coins today in the Mosques?  Maybe we just have to wait for them to show us...? The possibilities are interesting.. The facts are fascinating..  ~ Imo   [post 3 of 3]

10-5-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan
So we know they told us that on 09/11/2018 they were going to introduce the lower notes next month, then 09/26/2018 they tell us they are going to do same within two weeks and then yesterday, they are telling us next week. That is from the CBI.  Today they tell us they are deleting the zeros, yet they wrote that 2 days ago.. The CBI wants a suitable environment.  Well today we have Abadi as Prime Minister all the while Mahdi seats his cabinet, effectively two PMs, that are imo a suitable environment for the CBI and the world. It is obvious for that imo, as they have lifted sanctions and released massive amounts of assets, not only from the UNSC, HM Treasury but the EU as well... So the calls for next year are not being broadcast-ed imo.   [post 2 of 3....stay tuned]
10-5-2018   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan
The data we have been provided by Delta, Teams, etc., showed that the CBI spent money in the past for printing new currency, then again they increased that amount to $108 million real close of recent. The largest portion of cost for currency is minting coins. To think they are only going to introduce just 250s, 500s and 1,000s is imo way off. They told us months ago they had a liquidity issue and they told us they were ceasing multi currency practices too. Therefore, trying to function at a program rate for any length of time is plain silly (imo) with those. They talk of new currency and they mean it being brand new. The 250, 500, 1000 are not new, the ones they reprinted to go side by side however are, with updates to them and even deletions to be noted.  The 1, 5, 10, 20, 100, etc., notes are to be new, as will be the coins.  [post 1 of 3....stay tuned]

10-5-2018   Intel Guru Frank26   Article:  "We plan to restructure the Iraqi currency including deleting zeros"  RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES!!!  ...YESTERDAY WAS ABOUT THE LD'S BEING REPLACED CAUSE THEY ARE WORN AND TORN...TODAY...THIS IS ABOUT THE NEW CATEGORY SMALL NOTES!!!    WE FREAKEN TOLD YOU SO!!!

10-5-2018   Newshound Guru Kaperoni
New replacement dinar notes begin circulation next week.

10-5-2018   Intel Guru Bruce
What is interesting about that is if they do come out Saturday or Sunday which we think they will...they will be also trading their dinar on their market Sunday night...  We also believe the ISX will be trading, and the dinar will be tradable on the ISX but also it will be tradable on the NASDAQ in the US on Monday morning. We should have visibility more with Iraq and the dinar as the result of what they will be doing over the weekend whether it is Saturday or Sunday. ...It is looking good for the next few days...  I am encouraged. I am excited. I feel good where we are...   [post 2 of 2]

10-5-2018   Intel Guru Bruce   [via Pinkroses] Just when it was safe to close the door on Iraq, something else comes out. Today we got information from Sulaymaniyah, one of our sources there, that Iraq is going to have their lower denominations not only at the ATMs.  These are the lower ones the 10s, 20s...the lower denoms and they will be everywhere. They will be in the stores, the banks, the ATMs.  They supposed to bring them out either Saturday or Sunday. Sunday is the first day of their business week...It is a very good sign that they are saying to the world...hey we have revalued. This is our new rate, and we have the new lower denoms to go to.  [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

10-5-2018   Newshound Guru Bloodloch   New small denominations of the same currency are not what I'm looking for. Rather, I'm looking for something quite different. Perhaps they are just getting the public accustomed to the idea of new currency issues. New artwork and such.

10-5-2018 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan ...There is nothing that suggests outside of next week.. They clearly are reiterating there intentions to bring in the new [currency ?] next week. Abadi is PM now while and through the end of seating the Cabinet... The environment is stable and secure now and will be... Thus, the Independence of the CBI can roll out the new when appropriate, and there words are next week and that is their words not mine, or even any speculation about it what so ever. ...You don't bring in small currency with out a rate change... That is imo a reality..

Abu Raghef: Abdul Mahdi will set ten priorities and this is our early position of his candidacy
2018/10/5 17:46
[Ayna-Baghdad]
"The Prime Minister-designate, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, according to our reading close to the atmosphere and continuous mobility, will set 10 priorities for his next government."
Abu Raghef said in a press statement: "We believe that Abdul Mahdi will go on to set ten basic priorities in his next journey, and the first three will be the compass in guiding performance, these three are [security and economic mobility and the promotion of decentralization], and this is what we understand through our constant discussions and discussions in this context".
He stressed that "they are key axes that would create a qualitative shift in the Iraqi scene in general," stressing "the need to grant broader powers to the provinces and dismantle the bottlenecks known in the way of dealing between the organs of state and ministries."
He added that "the stream of national wisdom was from the beginning and still supports and encourages the nomination of Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi as an independent national figure with a cognitive, administrative and political dimension, and did not reserve our current to any person nominated for this mandate, and raised by some media about the existence of a reservation or lack of support , Is part of its approach to excitement and mixing of papers.
Abu Raghef called on "everyone to support Abdul Mahdi and facilitate his mission and not to find obstacles and bumps in front of what he wants to offer to Iraq," noting that "our support is multiplied by being independent of party affiliation, not belonging to a political bloc or party or electoral list."
He stressed that "the stream of wisdom is a key supporter of this government and that the position of Mr. Ammar al-Hakim clear from the outset in this mandate."
"We disagree with Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr in what he said recently," he said. "These are general principles that fall within the context in which Mr. Sadr used to be in his previous speeches. He is not surprised, he is appreciated, and we in the [Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction] The descriptions "urged" political parties to accelerate the support of Abdul-Mahdi in the formation of his government and reduce the limits of demands and overcome obstacles. "
Abu Ragheef pointed out that "it is natural that there is a difference in some technical aspects and is a resource of discussion and not a dispute, and some of them related to the mechanisms of selection and conditions when the nomination of ministries and commissioning public sites," noting that "there are political parties that see that the ministers are outside the House of Representatives completely , And we are in the wisdom to see the necessity or obligation to exclude members of the House of Representatives it is illogical to prohibit the sites of service to them unless there are real obstacles to the aggressor.
"We are with the technocrats in general, and if there are political technocrats, we do not see what they are trying to prevent from facing advanced positions and executive positions, and this does not prevent the existence of independent technocrats in the ministerial cabins alongside the political technocrats."
"The difference in views and in the way to understand the appropriate procedures for the Iraqi reality, is not an obstacle in the formation of the government and should not take more than it deserves, it is important that the government goes within the constitutional ceiling," noting that " And the experience of well-established, efficient and national in this government, whether they have a political background or not. "
He added that "the stream of wisdom optimistic about the new political scene and the balance of Presidents Barham Salih and Abdul Mahdi," noting that "the granting of a deadline for Abdul Mahdi is not new, but was informed of him in advance, a supporter and adopt it clearly."
He stressed that "we do not insist and call for the imposition of a candidate for any advanced position in the state, but we insist on the need to overcome the failures of the governments ended and benefit from their experiences," adding that "there is no caste or status or political knowledge requires that the technocrats independent."
He pointed out that "wisdom gives full freedom to the prime minister-designate in the formation of his team, but we do not see the right to close the door to the competencies and energies eligible for management under certain headings," noting that "Abdul Mahdi will not be a cabins in the way points and volumes of blocks and seats as is the case at times Former ".
Abu Ragheif pointed out that "the political obstruction and the decline in service reality and the pressure of the street and the position of the Supreme Reference Council and the crises of the country during the past two years has made the country's leaders and decision-makers in front of the choice of agreement on the nomination of Abdul Mahdi, a balanced figure very confident in his ability to find political balances, Government and state. "
"We support him and we believe in strengthening his government from within and enhancing its external success factors," he stressed.
Abu Ragheef stressed that "the difference of views with others will not be an obstacle in the formation of the government, and here we renew the position of clear wisdom in support of Abdul Mahdi, and deny any position other than that is inaccurate and incorrect and stand behind the usual bodies of this behavior, Or requirements, but give full freedom in the formation of his government.

The United States has agreed to sell five helicopters to Iraq, the Pentagon said Friday. "The United States has agreed to sell five helicopters to Iraq in a deal worth more than $ 82 million," the Defense Security Agency said.
"The Bell-407 aircraft are equipped with machine guns and advanced communications systems," the agency said. "This deal will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the Iraqi security forces in their war against the organization of the call and protection of vital infrastructure."
"Under my leadership, the United States has stepped up its war against terrorism, in cooperation with our coalition partners, we have spent a large proportion of the preachers on Syria and Iraq," US President Donald Trump said yesterday.
On Thursday, Trump acknowledged the new national security strategy to fight terrorism, according to a statement issued by the agency, which did not elaborate on the strategy.
More than three years later, with support from the US-led coalition, Iraq announced last December that its entire territory had been restored from the grip of Dahesh, who controlled a third of the country.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubic, congratulated the Yezidi Iraqi [Nadia Murad] on her awarding the Nobel Peace Prize, a recognition she receives on behalf of all Yezidis and other Iraqis who were the victims and the most brutal victims of genocide.
"Nadia Murad showed heroism, courage and steadfastness in the face of her tormentors, and with the same determination, I spoke publicly after escaping from the grip of her jailers to tell the world about those atrocities and mobilize support to defeat the terrorists," Kubic said in a statement received by the All Iraq agency [ "The steadfastness and steadfastness of its Yezidi community and the steadfastness of the Iraqis in general played a key role in the final victory over the Mujahedeen last year."
"The Nobel Peace Prize awarded by Nadia Murad is a tribute not only to the victims of atrocities, but also to all victims of sexual violence in conflict situations, both in Iraq and around the world," Kubic said.
During her Nobel Peace Prize, the Nobel Committee said that Nadia Murad, who is personally a victim of war crimes, "has shown courage to speak less of her suffering and speak for other victims."
This appreciation gives impetus to the efforts to find and liberate more than 3,000 Yezidi women and children who are still missing after being kidnapped by the Sudan and to efforts to hold those responsible accountable.
