Today, Friday, Hezbollah Brigades issued an angry statement about the Al-Aqsa events, while accusing Arab governments, including the current Iraqi government, of slavery and subservience.

The brigades said in their statement, of which Earth News received a copy, that "the Zionist entity's assault on Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday, and in this holy month amid Arab and Islamic silence, reflects the involvement of the tools of normalization in these crimes, which extended to stifle the free voices demanding the liberation of Jerusalem and Palestine from the hands of the Zionists.”

The statement added, “The blatant storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, terrorizing Muslims, and arresting Palestinians; Not to mention the criminal raids that bear the hallmarks of repression, extremism and intimidation; It can only be stopped at the hands of the free Palestinians who demonstrated to the world their courage, patience, and the transcendence of their faith in front of a criminal and usurping entity. Which proves the will of the Palestinian people and their right to a decent life in the face of the disgrace that has befallen and befalls the identification of Arab governments with the entity, and the increase in the size of their workers and their subservience despite all these crimes against our people in Palestine, including the caretaker government in our country; which ignores popular anger and insists on extending the oil pipeline leading to Aqaba, and from there to the usurping entity, as well as Iraq’s oil that flows from its north to the Zionist enemy; In order for the Zionists to increase their strength and vengeance in killing our oppressed Palestinian people.”

Hezbollah said, "Today, we look at the two matters with one look, and we stand at a cry distance from Al-Aqsa to cut off the Zionists in Iraq and the region."

The World Bank announced the recovery of the Iraqi economy, while it expected that the overall growth for the current year would rise to about 9%.

In a report, the World Bank revealed that Iraq's economy has begun to gradually recover from the double shocks of the epidemic and the collapse of oil prices, indicating that oil and non-oil growth are on the right track to reach pre-epidemic levels with increased oil production and easing of Corona restrictions.

The World Bank added that the Iraqi financial and external deficits returned to surpluses with the continued rise in oil prices.

head of the Bayarq Al-Khair bloc, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, confirmed that the Iraqi compass is heading for a rerun of the parliamentary elections.

Al-Khalidi said that "the Iraqi political corridors recently started unannounced dialogues about the possibility of re-electing the parliamentary elections if the political blockage remains in its current state without any understandings, especially since the situation and its challenges impose difficult choices on the political forces to get out of the current crisis."

He added that "the Iraqi compass is heading for the re-election, but the independents are the most prominent opponents of this step because most of them realize that his return again is very difficult."

He pointed out that "the past elections suffered from major mistakes and problems, and most of the forces registered objections to the results, and returning them may be the beginning of the solution," noting that "the coming period may witness the formation of a transitional government to create conditions for holding the elections in agreement by the political forces in order to secure the transition to the next stage

Iraq's financial conditions are better with the increase in cash flows

link

The financial advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister , Mazhar Muhammad Salih, confirmed that Iraq is living in its best financial conditions, benefiting from cash flows, and ruling out the country's need to resort to external borrowing .

During the previous period, Iraq had resorted to external borrowing, following a stifling financial crisis as a result of the drop in global oil prices due to the Corona pandemic, which caused a significant decrease in the country’s imports, which depend mainly on oil as a major resource.

However, the recent and unprecedented recovery in global oil prices caused a financial surplus for the country, through which the country was able to recover and emerge from the financial crisis.

And today, Friday, Saleh confirmed that “Iraq is living today in its best financial conditions in its modern history in terms of cash flows, ” calling, in a statement quoted by the official Iraqi News Agency (INA), to “the need to employ these cash flows in productive investments for the resource of the national economy, as well as About employing national human resources in activities that should be income-generating and wealth-generating at the same time.

He added that "investment policies for large resources require operating them with economic joints in order to achieve financial and economic sustainability," noting that "exceptional circumstances are what impose a borrowing policy, including the deficit of government revenues due to the cycle of declining oil assets."
He stressed that "the rise in oil prices and the resulting large rentier revenues will obviate the idea of external government borrowing

Despite the demands to reveal the size of the financial surplus that the country achieved during the past months from the oil price difference, especially since the 2021 budget set the price of one barrel against $ 45 due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic and the devaluation of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar, but the government did not disclose it.

Member of the Finance Committee in the former parliament, Ahmed Hama, told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that “the difference in oil prices should go to the country’s cash reserve, as there are large sums that have been achieved from this surplus,” noting that “the price of a barrel of oil in the budget was calculated at 45 dollars.” Today, the difference in the price of oil sometimes reaches $75 per barrel.

This is taking place at a time when the government is seeking to pass the “emergency support for food security and development” bill as a temporary alternative to the crippled 2022 financial budget law, which can only be passed through a government voted on by the new parliament, as the new law authorizes the government to dispose of 25 trillion dinars Iraqi (about 16 billion dollars).

Iraq has oil reserves of about 145 billion barrels, equivalent to 17% of the reserves of the Middle East, and 8% of the global reserves, which is the fifth largest in the world.
