Salah al-Obeidi, spokesman for the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, confirmed today, Sunday, the Sadrist bloc’s readiness to go to the opposition if the other parties were able to form the new government.

Al-Obaidi said in a statement to “Voice of Kurdish-speaking America” and seen by Shafak News Agency, “If the other parties form the government without us, we will become an opposition and we will receive it in a sporting spirit.”

He added, “There is pressure on the parties in the tripartite alliance from inside and outside Iraq, but our relationship is strong.”

The tripartite alliance includes the Sadrist bloc, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and the “Sunni” Alliance of Sovereignty.

Iraq has been experiencing a political crisis since the early parliamentary elections were held and their results were announced, after prominent Shiite forces within the “coordinating framework” that includes Shiite forces objected to the results, in addition to the existence of deep differences between the political forces over the formation of the next government.

And the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, gave the Shiite framework forces forty days, ending with Eid al-Fitr, to form a new government.

Today, Monday, legal expert, Faisal Rikan, clarified the position on the possibility of the caretaker government submitting the general budget to Parliament in light of the .political blockage in the country and the disruption of government formation Rikan said in an exclusive statement to (Baghdad Today) that "one of the duties of the Council of Ministers is to prepare the draft general budget based on the provisions of Paragraph IV of Article 80 of the Iraqi Constitution, as the Constitution did not address in any of its articles the existence of an impediment to submitting ."the budget before. caretaker government

He added that "the current government had prepared the budget for 2022 in 2021 to present it to the House of Representatives for approval, when it was a government with full powers," noting that "it was not presented at the time because of the early ".elections and the dissolution of the House of Representatives

Rikan indicated that "when referring to the internal system of the Council of Ministers No. 2 of 2019, specifically in the second paragraph of Article 42, where it was stated that it is intended to conduct daily affairs and take decisions and procedures that cannot be postponed, which would continue the work of state institutions and public utilities," pointing to "One of the most important measures that will ensure the continuation of the work of public institutions and utilities is the approval of the budget and its implementation, because paralysis will affect public institutions and utilities without the budget and they cannot provide appropriate services to all ".citizens

The United States of America condemned, on Monday, the missile bombing that targeted an oil refinery in Khabat district in Erbil, usually an attack on Iraq's sovereignty.

The US embassy in Baghdad said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "The United States condemns last night's attack in Iraq, which resulted in damage to an oil refinery in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq."

She added, "Attacks in Iraq, including on the energy sector, are an assault on Iraq's sovereignty and harm Iraqi citizens," noting that "the United States stands with the people of Iraq and will continue to work with its Iraqi partners to ensure the security, stability, and sovereignty of the Iraqi state."

And earlier today, Monday, the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI), said that "the reckless missile launch that targeted an oil refinery in Erbil on the eve of Eid al-Fitr is another worrying development. Iraq's leaders should work united to confront such aggressive acts that seek to destabilizing the country's security and stability.

The Security Media Cell had confirmed that an oil refinery belonging to the "Car" oil company had been targeted by a missile in the Khabat district of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region.

The cell accused those it named terrorist and crime gangs of being behind the attack, "the purpose of which is to affect the electrical power supply."

The Security Council of the Kurdistan Region called on the Baghdad government to clear an area in the Nineveh Plain, which it said had become a launching pad for missile attacks on the region.

A statement by the council stated, "The missile attacks on the Kurdistan Region are repeated by outlaw groups, specifically in the Hamdaniya district, located between the headquarters of the Commandos Regiment of the Nineveh Operations Command and between the headquarters of the Asa'ib militias in Bartella and Brigade 30 in the Hashd Shabak."

He added that these areas are under the control of the federal government forces and are not far from the alternative headquarters of the armed forces of the federal government, so we call on the prime minister and the federal government to establish security and stability in this region, clearing it of terrorists and gangs, as it has become a starting point and focus for the attack on the Kurdistan Region.

Three main reasons behind the high rate of poverty and unemployment in Iraq .. What is the solution? - Urgent

link

Today, Monday, the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Abdel Amir Al-Mayahi, considered the continued delay in forming the government, which will cause economic problems for the citizen, given that the current year's budget was delayed due to the state of political blockage in the .country

Al-Mayahi told (Baghdad Today) that "the poverty rate in Iraq is high and unemployment is increasing year after year, and the reasons are many, including the lack of revitalization of the private sector and almost complete dependence on the government sector, in addition to the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of students graduating from tens of government and private colleges, and most of them, if not all of them, do not." They have job opportunities, and this completely contradicts the ambition in which they sought to obtain a certificate that would enable them to perform a service in state departments, and therefore these data put us in front ".of a responsibility to move quickly to pass the budget

He added, "Passing the budget comes for the purpose of granting the country's graduates or others job opportunities or fixing contracts or others. Therefore, the budget was a real nerve that gave the state almost complete paralysis due to its delay, especially as we are on the threshold of the middle of the year and did not even reach Parliament, so when it arrives and when it is ." discussed, read and passed

Less than $ 16"... Iraq reveals the price of oil exported to Jordan

The Iraqi Oil Marketing Company "SOMO" announced today, Monday, that the average price of crude oil exported to Jordan amounted to $88 last April, less than $16 less than the official price average, after starting again to export oil to the Kingdom.

The company said in a statistic on its website, seen by Shafak News Agency, that "the total oil exports to Jordan during the month of April amounted to 299,560 barrels," indicating that "the export rate amounted to 10 thousand barrels per day."

Somo added that "the average price of a barrel sold to Jordan amounted to $88,389," noting that "the value of Jordan's oil exports during one month amounted to $26,477,808."

Jordan did not import crude oil from Iraq during February and March, while it imported 309,000 barrels in January 2022.

In September 2021, Jordan received oil shipments under an agreement to buy 10 thousand barrels per day of crude oil from the Kirkuk fields to meet part of the domestic demand, before stopping it in February as a result of the contract expiration.

It is noteworthy that Iraq exports crude oil at preferential prices to Jordan via tanker trucks, at a rate of approximately 10,000 barrels per day.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Oil announced the total exports and revenues achieved for the month of last December, indicating that they amounted to 101 million and 390 thousand and 662 barrels, with revenues of 10.55 billion dollars, while the average sold price amounted to 104.091 dollars.
