2022: No tangible change in the economic situation

No My FX Buddies Podcast Today but these are the articles  would have discussed if I did do one:

The entry of a US military convoy into northern Iraq, loaded with oil and tanks

US forces removed a military convoy consisting of dozens of vehicles loaded with military equipment and oil tanks from Hasaka countryside to northern Iraq.

2022: No tangible change in the economic situation

link

The year 2022 will not witness a tangible change in the economic situation, and specialists expect the new government to collide with the power of the parties

With the beginning of the year two thousand and twenty-two, citizens inside Baghdad expected the economic situation to remain as it is, while specialists believe that the new government, if it wants to change, will encounter many obstacles, most notably the influence of parties.

In the same way, or perhaps worse..the course of economic events expected by citizens to remain the same in the new year..the rise in dollar prices, the lack of appointments, and the poor service reality prompted them to speculate what would happen to things.

Iraq is facing major economic crises and challenges this year, according to specialists who indicated that the new government must overcome many obstacles that it will encounter directly, most notably the influence of the parties.

The previous governments plunged the country into the cycle of external and internal borrowing, leaving it mired due to the weight of debts that had accumulated on its shoulders, which was already burdened with difficulties and dilemmas .

With the launch of the 2022 market... Oil is rising and the epidemic limits the gains

link

Oil prices rose on Monday, with the start of the new year 2022 market positively, despite fears of a decline in demand due to the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, which limited the gains.

Brent crude rose 59 cents, or 0.76%, to $78.37 a barrel by 05:01 GMT, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 63 cents, or 0.84%, to $75.82 a barrel.

And in the past year, oil prices rose about 50%, spurred by the global economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and producer controls, even as infections reached record levels around the world.

Health experts in the United States have warned Americans to prepare for severe disruptions in the coming weeks, with infection rates likely to worsen amid increased holiday travel and New Year's celebrations and the reopening of schools after the winter holidays.

US energy companies added oil and natural gas drilling rigs for a record 17 straight months, as higher prices lured some drillers back to the well plate after demand slumped last year due to the coronavirus.

OPEC sources said the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Russia and allies - the so-called OPEC+ community - will likely stick to their plan to add 400,000 barrels per day of supply in February when they meet on Jan. 4.

You [Iraqi citizens] have to realize your currency is about to float.  That's what they're trying to teach you.  It's part of your education process right now.  When it does float and they reinstate the value this education is going to get louder for you...float means you are officially free from Kuwait...the fact that your currency is about to float is incredible...this is basically the announcement of your purchasing power...

Learn about companies' ways and marketing programs to convince you to buy
01/02/2022 | 5:23 pm

Have you recently noticed that it is difficult to resist clicking on the shop now icon or shop now that appears on social media.. Why?

According to the book Decoded: The Science Behind Why We Buy by Phil Barden, global marketing manager, when we see a product, neurons in the part of the brain responsible for wanting it are activated, but as soon as the price appears, the central part responsible for feeling pain is turned on.

If the level of pleasure exceeds the level of pain, the person tends to buy this difference is called net worth.

Companies aim to stimulate the pleasure center further so that the price seems reasonable to the buyer, and he presses to buy! how?

The title, ad text and description on the packaging or product are designed to convince us to buy, for example, restaurant dishes with exotic names, stimulate the desire to taste.

Today's advertisements focus on the benefits of the product to change the perception of price. For example, instead of writing only 25% fat, write 75% meat without fat.

In addition, the use of red numbers or asterisks on the price tag leads the buyer to consider the “discount” as well, the greater the distance between the actual price and the promotional price on the price tag, the greater the discount appears to the mind!!

In the opinion of Phil Barden, the author of the book, comparing a product with other products with higher prices and offering discounts is one of the most attractive mechanisms for buyers.

Price also affects the perception of value. Usually a higher price indicates a better quality. In an experiment conducted by the author, the same juice was served to a sample of consumers in packages of different prices. Most of the sample agreed that the more expensive juice has higher taste and quality.

The book also mentions that focusing on a specific goal shows the brand in a better way!

The brand must be associated with a goal that satisfies the customer’s need, which usually revolves around the following: safety and family care, enjoyment and relaxation, excitement and fun, adventure and freedom, independence and success, as well as discipline, order and accuracy.

Simple changes you can make in your life to feel better
01/02/2022 | 9:25 pm

The beginning of a new year is a great opportunity to make changes in our lifestyle so that we can feel better in the future.

Taking care of ourselves physically and mentally is critical to our well-being, and with the novel coronavirus pandemic showing few signs of relieving us any time soon, the changes in our lives are more important than ever.

Nutrition, fitness and psychology experts reveal simple tips that can be made in our lifestyle as we welcome the new year 2022, according to the American magazine "Newsweek".

Goodbye bad routine

One helpful approach to improving your life is starting to add a new habit to a ritual you already have, says Debbie Petitbein, spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, which is known as "habit stacking."

She gave an example that "while preparing your coffee, you can drink a large glass of plain water to start your day hydrated."

Petitbene also advises breaking a bad habit by changing an ingrained routine, "Why not go outside and do a brisk 10-minute walk instead of having an alcoholic drink right after dinner?"

controllable behaviors

We must be very specific when setting goals, and have realistic expectations. Instead of saying “I will eat healthy,” say “I will add vegetables to every lunch and dinner,” and set a fixed day per month to assess progress and make adjustments As needed.

Your goal should focus on a behavior you can control, not a desired outcome. For example, instead of saying "I'm going to lose 5 pounds this month," say "I'll walk 10 minutes after work from Monday through Friday."

Make changes simple

Wellness consultant, personal trainer, and mental health advocate, Lydia Di Francesco, says her entire health philosophy is built on the principle of "keep things simple."

"We tend to overcomplicate things, while at the same time wishing for a magic pill that makes our dreams come true," she explained.

"The bad news is that there are no magic pills, but the good news is that there are some simple habits you can do that have a huge impact on your overall physical and mental health."

enough sleep

Di Francesco stressed that the "first tip" she shares with people is to go to bed by 10:30 p.m., noting that "getting enough quality sleep is one of the most underappreciated wellness strategies."

She said: "We really underestimate the importance of sleep on our bodies, when we sleep, the body does the work to repair and restore itself, and sleep also leads to hormonal processes that affect the quality of our performance during the day."

Di Francesco stresses that “the body must be prepared to go to sleep by tactics, which are dimming the lights in the house at about 9 pm, stopping the main activities at this time and doing some relaxing activities in return, such as reading, writing a diary, taking a shower or doing meditation.”

Walking and hiking

There is another habit that is easy for us to integrate into our daily life, and that is taking a walk outside and walking in general.

"This doesn't have to be a long walk," Di Francesco says, "but the perfect 10 to 15 minutes."

She also advises walking in the morning before work, because it helps to wake up and gives the person the energy to start his day.

Research shows that walking helps lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and lowers blood sugar levels.

And if you can't walk, there are other activities you can do while walking, such as making a phone call or listening to a podcast or audio book.

Be kind to yourself

Justin Grosso, licensed psychologist, yoga teacher and wellness speaker, says starting a practice of self-compassion is a small way to guard against self-criticism in the new year.

She said: "This is particularly important, as it has been shown that self-criticism is associated with social anxiety, depression and trauma-related disorders, while developing a self-compassionate attitude toward one's goals for the new year is also particularly important, given the extent of pressure to adopt new habits and make changes." At this time of year.”

"Self-compassion provides a space for being human, having great emotions or making mistakes, without falling into a personality defect," she asserted.

exercise

Noureddine Zwaraq, a performance coach, advises that “we can enhance our fitness by exercising at least 20 minutes a day while eating healthy and balanced meals.”

He emphasized that yoga is one of his favorite things to bridge the gap between mind and body.

Balanced Meals

When it comes to nutrition, Sawaraq recommends eating small, healthy and well-balanced meals consisting of 40 percent of biologically valuable protein, 40 percent of low/moderate glycemic carbohydrates, and 20 percent of good, clean fats (monounsaturated oil), plus. At least 8 large glasses of water a day.

And when it comes to boosting your emotional fitness, Zawaq said, “Meditating, spending quality time with family, listening to music, reading, writing, hiking and vacationing are all good options.”

“Assessing your emotional well-being is a must if you want to perform at a high level and achieve optimal productivity,” he concluded.

Washington: Iranian-backed militias want us to withdraw from Iraq, but we will not leave

Washington - "Al-Quds Al-Arabi": The complete US withdrawal from Afghanistan last summer resulted in a rapid and comprehensive collapse of the Afghan government in front of the Taliban movement, and the US forces were reducing their presence in Iraq at the same time, but there will not be a complete withdrawal from the country, where nearly 2500 soldiers. US defense officials said this month that the task of the force is to advise and assist Iraqi national forces and - ultimately - to ensure that Iraq does not become another Afghanistan.

General Frank McKenzie, the supreme commander of US forces in the Middle East, said that the forces withdrew from bases that do not need them, but the Iraqi government wants us there. McKenzie added that "the forces will remain there as long as the government wants us there."
The "Islamic State" no longer controls large areas of Iraqi territory, but the organization is still active and may cause chaos in the country, according to several American analysts, noting that the organization has managed to completely control the village of Luhiban in Kirkuk province.McKenzie predicted that the extremist organization “will continue to re-establish itself” and that the United States and allies will have to work together to ensure that the “state” does not associate with other terrorist groups, and that the organization does not pose a global threat again.Over the past few years, US and international coalition partners have gradually handed over responsibility for the defense of Iraq to the Iraqis, and the process moved forward in July, when US President Joe Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi met to formally end the US combat mission in Iraq. General, and issued a joint statement declaring, "There will be no US forces with a combat role in Iraq by December 31, 2021."U.S. forces reached this benchmark a few weeks ago, with Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassim al-Araji declaring December 9 that all remaining U.S. forces had transitioned from a combat role to one of “advising, assisting, and enabling” that role consisted of training Iraqi forces. Gathering intelligence on ISIS and providing occasional air support, no more direct combat, this is the work of Iraqi forces and Kurdish militias now.US forces have completely withdrawn from eight bases since July, and a command post was moved from an American facility in Kuwait to an Iraqi site in November, and US forces recently delivered 2,000 military vehicles to the Iraqi army, and according to a US military report, the international coalition forces participated In 13 anti-ISIS operations from July to September out of 426 operations carried out by the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Forces.According to several American newspapers, an Iraqi government official stated that the Iraqi army could not do all this alone yet, and that it still needed “American intelligence about ISIS elements.” He also said, that the Iraqi Air Force “ relatively weak.” She is not yet ready to stand on her own. This official pointed out that the Iraqi forces need US forces, especially when it comes to air cover and combat aircraft. "Without the US air force, the country would have been more vulnerable to drone attacks, and we would find it difficult to launch air attacks against ISIS," he said.

missile attacks

The end of the fighting does not mean that US forces are no longer in harm's way, said Rick Doxay, a writer and editor at the US Department of Defense, noting that Iranian-backed militias, which oppose any US presence in the country, have launched missile attacks and drone strikes on the forces. One of the "Popular Mobilization" shells in early 2020 on the Al-Asad air base, where the American forces are stationed, caused morbid brain injuries to more than a hundred American soldiers.

Doxay emphasized that the PMF's attacks will almost certainly continue as long as there are US forces in the country.General McKenzie said, "They really want all American forces to leave, but the forces are not leaving, and that may lead to a backlash."These groups may increase their ability to attack with weapons heavier than Iran. McKenzie expressed concern about Iran's continued development of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and armed drones, and warned that Iran would not shy away from sending such weapons to its proxies in Iraq.McKenzie stressed that Iran pursues a vision based on the expulsion of America, pointing out that Tehran believes that the main battlefield for this is Iraq, and that there is a conviction in Iran that they can increase friction in Iraq until the American forces are expelled. Many American analysts explained that the United States established a permanent presence in Europe and Japan after World War II, in order to prevent more bullets or tanks, but there is no such lasting peace on the ground in Iraq, the violence continues and there is no reason to believe that The violence will stop.President Biden has vowed that there will be no fighting in Iraq after December 31, but everyone knows that it is impossible to achieve, according to several analysts, who said sarcastically that White House aides should tell their president to stop such statements .They added that there are many expectations in Washington of unpleasant surprises next month, which are hints that the negotiations on the return of the "nuclear agreement" cannot go on forever, and there is an eighth round, and the full line of options is still on the table: from settlement to Emphasis on, and it is expected that Iraq will be an expected arena for war between Iran and the United States if things do not go well in the diplomatic track.American analysts said that the remaining forces in Iraq will not constitute any changes on the ground in practice, but it is part of an ongoing American message that the United States will not allow the presence of leaders of anti-ideologies in the Middle East, and that it will not abandon allies and partners and will fight for American interests. in the region.
