(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The head of the citizen's parliamentary bloc, MP Hamid al-Khudari, appointed Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Uloum, a permanent representative of Iraq to the United Nations, replacing Ambassador Mohamed Ali al-Hakim, who was deputy secretary-general.
The head of the bloc said in a statement to his media office that he hoped that Ambassador Mohammed Bahr al-Ulum would contribute to this position in the most important international organization by conveying the concerns of Iraq to the UN organization and increasing the pace of its work in Iraq because we felt that he had a great experience and a great love for his country and his people.
"While congratulating Ambassador Bahr al-Ulum, we invite him to make Iraqi files available in the corridors of the United Nations and urge them to increase their assistance to Iraq in its fight against terrorism and its consequences," al-Khudari said.
Al-Khudari pointed out that "Iraq needs a UN stand with him and he is living an exceptional circumstance. There are prominent files in Iraq that need external support, especially the war on terror, support the Iraqi security forces and the popular crowd in their battle on behalf of the world. Iraq needs the UN organization is the file of the displaced, which needs an international stop to overcome the crisis, especially as the United Nations has considerable experience in dealing with this file, which has always called for international support.
The Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Uloum was a permanent representative of Iraq to the United Nations, replacing Ambassador Mohamed Ali al-Hakim, who was deputy secretary-general.
The United Nations announced in April the appointment of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as the permanent representative of Iraq to the United Nations, Ambassador Mohamed Ali al-Hakim, as his deputy and executive director of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)

Turkish "green light" for the Kurdistan "referendum"
The Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), one of the Kurdish parties, has revealed "assurances" given by Turkey to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in order to advance the process of "referendum" .
"The Kurdistan Regional Government has received assurances from the Turkish government not to interfere in the internal affairs of Kurdistan in the event of separation from Iraq," MP Jamal Ahmad Sidu told the New York News on Thursday.
On the frequent fears of Turkish rejection, he replied: "Turkey is continuing to build a wall along the Iraqi-Syrian border, and thus there will be a complete separation between the two countries."
The Kurds are using the issue of a "referendum" in which they seek to break away from Iraq as a squeeze and blackmail against the federal government in Baghdad, according to many officials and followers of the local shan.
The Kurdish MP pointed out that under this referendum, "will be followed important steps ahead," stressing that "the ruling political forces in Kurdistan, will determine later their participation in the parliamentary elections."
"The Kurdish people do not want to miss this opportunity," Seydou said, referring to the frenzied efforts by Kurdish political leaders to determine the fate of the Kurdistan region, which for many years has been almost completely independent of Baghdad.
It is hoped that the referendum will be held, in all areas that are different from the geography between Baghdad and the Kurdish region, which will include areas controlled by the Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the provinces of Nineveh, Kirkuk, Diyala and Salahuddin
Egypt export $8 m. in three months
Arbil/ Iraq TradeLink: Egyptian Commercial Representative Ahmed Antar disclosed that the
Kurdish imports from Egypt reached to eight million dollars during the past three months.
He pointed that the Kurdish markets are "promising" for Egyptian export.
The Kurdish region depends on 95% of its needs on imports which are expected to reach 20 billion dollars annually.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a press conference Thursday that "the statements of leaders of the Kurdistan region of Iraq on a referendum on self-determination in September this year caught our attention," asserting that "Russia calls for support for the territorial integrity of Iraq and respect for and observance of the legitimate rights of all Ethnic groups and groups without conditions, and Kurds represent the largest of these groups. "
Russian diplomacy has underlined that Moscow must begin to resolve "all known problems in relations between the Kurdish authorities and the central government in Baghdad, including the issue of coexistence, through constructive negotiations."

6-8-2017 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: "The parliamentary economy supports the recent central bank measures to regulate the sale window of the currency" This piece is RICH with detail... Quote: "...classification of Bank central banks involved in the window selling currency step very good and its monetary reform", stating that "the Central Bank has taken these actions in coordination with foreign experts and particularly from the United States of America..." And it's monetary reform as the phrasing seems to indicate they are in the middle of the process. Now.
6-8-2017 Intel Guru Frank26 IOO – what we are seeing with the auctions is impressive with the IMF because it was agreed upon. The CBI...IOO... is trying to get all of the auctions in by June 30th to END ALL AUCTIONS! The one thing we are waiting for is for them to LIFT the 3 ZEROS – which lifts the exchange rate qualifications (Chapter 8). The agreement, phase, step...has been done. [Guru] Delta says that on Iraqi TV…it’s all over the screen…the CBI and IMF meeting and what’s in it for the citizens. The meeting also said that the RESERVES were much higher than the IMF predicted. I’ll admit the monetary reform is taking a long-time, but it is coming! The IMF doesn’t want Iraq to make any mistakes BEFORE or AFTER. THIS COULD HAPPEN AT ANY MOMENT! Don’t see any more talk of postponement...do you?
6-8-2017 Intel/Newshound Guru tman23 [Some one feels the RV won't happen & the dollar will end up being Iraqs currency...] Iraq is not going to ever go to the USD...You can bank on that! A certain amount of pressure is now coming from Kurdistan and the referendum... Barzani wanted the 3 zero removed August 2014 and had some serious statements about it...Kurds want to get the show on the road (economy)...They are in dire straights! And by a recent article...The CBI branch in Erbil goes FULL CBI July 1st...and Sulaimayia to follow shortly after...
6-8-2017 Intel Guru Frank26 I told you...once you have Mosul...(we’ve already got Mosul)...you would start to see things happen at the speed of light...and now you are! From the 2nd to the 9th – we said that some BIG information would be coming out. THIS IS IT...and it’s only the 7th! Yes! They are talking about their EXCHANGE RATE! On Wednesday...they didn’t talk about their RATE...they talked about their EXCHANGE RATE...the EXCHANGE RATE POLICY! There is quite a difference. Free float? No they are not! They will have a Managed Float. High rate? No they are not! This was the talk of the town last year. Now they are talking like $1.20. The IMF is telling the world...once the reforms are implemented...they have some money (prior to the agreement)...that Iraq will get...WHEN they raise the value of their currency. That will trigger everything. [post 2 of 2]
6-8-2017 Intel Guru Frank26 They finally said something about the IMF meeting. ...the IMF and the CBI once agreed upon something. A 2nd review of the SBA in August... This meeting was ...IMO...not about the rate of the IQD. It was a report of the monetary reform to the IMF. The IMF is very proud of what Iraq has accomplished. The IMF tells every country what to do with their currency. They’ve now reached an agreement -- MOU (Memorandum of Understanding). The IMF appears to be happy...because this memorandum that was signed...the IMF no longer needs to tell Iraq what to do. Two of the three agreed to items were taken care of in December of last year. These 3 levels...Economic Reforms... Financial Reforms...Multi-Currency Policy. The last item (#3) was the POLICY of currency (international level). ...things are done for the economic and financial reforms. Iraq is ready to join the INTERNATIONAL theatre. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

6-8-2017 Newshound Guru mike Article: "Iraqi Central Bank sales of foreign currencies fell $7 million" Quote: "...the exchange rate was 1182 dinars per dollar at the auction held with the participation of 35 banks and 10 financial companies for the conversion." I still think the spread is too high... The stock markets and other institutions are showing 1240+ to $1, they haven't gotten the market rate low enough yet. We know from other articles that the spread is still 1240-$1 or more so I'm not thinking that the market rate has been lowered. ...I recognize the anomaly and wonder what it's implications are, but...I think it's just poor bookkeeping on the CBI's part. If the street rate had improved to around 1200-$1 the stock markets and other large financial institutions would report the same figures, but they're not. I know this isn't going to be a popular statement but Iraq still has a lot of work to do after Mosul and all of Anbar Province is liberated. The Kurdish deal and legislation for the open market economy are all objectives that have yet to be solved.

The General Establishment of Civil Aviation announced on Thursday the preparation of the aircraft in Iraqi airspace, which amounted to 2450 aircraft for the period from April 27 to today.
"The Iraqi airspace is open to all international civil aircraft and all airlines wishing to cross their planes to the Iraqi airspace," said Minister of Transport Kazem Fangan, according to a statement by the ministry.
"The number of aircraft is increasing," he said, adding that "the airlines of neighboring countries prefer to use the Iraqi airspace to shorten the distances and time and to provide better service to its passengers."
"We are monitoring the numbers of aircraft transiting the Iraqi airspace by relying on the data entry statistic in the air control department of the Civil Aviation Authority."
The comments come as Qatar Airways has resorted to the Somali airspace to overcome the obstacles caused by the decision.
It is imperative that Qatar, before some countries close their airspace to them, find an outlet for their aircraft to gain access to the outside world, especially the European continent.
In this context, according to some media, citing experts specialized in air navigation, the first track is to fly over Iran then Iraq and Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea, and then access to various destinations away from the Arabian Gulf and Egypt and Libya, Traffic also through Iran and then Turkey and from there to various EU countries.

Tips to avoid the emergence of abdomen in Ramadan
BAGHDAD, June 8 (UPI) - The problem of belly bulging is a problem that may threaten many health problems, so the following tips should be used to get rid of the accumulated fat around the abdomen.
If you start your breakfast by drinking water, do not drink iced water, it will cause the capillaries to contract in the stomach and hamper the work of the latter. But on the other hand, it is recommended to take a large amount of water between breakfast and Suhur to moisturize the body and to cleanse toxins.
After softening the stomach with the soup you have attended at home (not canned because it is rich in salt), more than eating vegetables, it will provide you with a sense of fullness, which will push you to eat less than other foods that may be fat.
Avoid eating high-calorie Ramadan sweets and replace them with sweet-tasting fruit. If you have to eat sugars, choose a small piece.
Eat well and eat slowly, giving your body a chance to give you a feeling of fullness.
Avoid fried foods, it is healthy to eat boiled.
Drink green tea because it can promote digestion.
Try to offer low-fat dairy products on Ramadan.
Exercise every day for at least 15 minutes. End (1)
