Add politics to confusion, and the result is a roiling debate that never ends. To help cut through this chaos, many economists have sought a rule Read the full story

China’s bond market could be signaling a further economic slowdown
Business Insider UK
In the bond market, an inverted yield curve has often predicted recession in developed economies. So what does the recent inversion of the yield curve in China say about the country’s economic outlook? Since 2005, the yield on the 10-year Chinese government bond (CGB) has exceeded the one-year CGB yield by an average of 100 basis points (bps). Iraq's oil revenue for 2017 so far is projecting roughly $50 billion dollars with an annual payroll for government employees at roughly $48 billion. Iraq's trying to draw down the workforce and lower pay but so far, it's a plan and not a reality. Ayad al-Obeidi and Ayad al-Jumaili are the most prominent candidates to succeed al-Baghdadi
24-06-2017 01:41 PM
The Euphrates -
If the news of the killing of the leader of the organization, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is confirmed, he is likely to be succeeded by one of his top two aides, two former Iraqi army officers.
Hisham al-Hashemi, an expert on extremist groups, revealed a clear candidate to succeed al-Baghdadi, but they consider Ayad al-Obeidi and Ayad al-Jumaili the strongest candidates.
The Russian Defense Ministry said last week that Baghdadi was probably killed in an air strike in Syria. Interfax news agency quoted a senior Russian parliamentarian as saying Friday that the chances of his death were close to 100 percent.
But armed groups fighting in the area and US officials say there is no evidence of his death. Many officials in the region have expressed skepticism about reports of his death.
Obeidi, in his 50s, is the war department of the organization, while Jumaili, in his forties, is the agency responsible for security in the organization. Iraqi state television reported in April that Jumaili had been killed but that had not yet been confirmed.
The two joined the insurgency in 2003 after the US occupation of Iraq that toppled Saddam Hussein.
The two became Baghdad's top aides since his deputy Abu Ali al-Anbari, Abu Omar al-Checheni, the former war minister, and Abu Mohammed al-Julani, a propaganda official, were killed in air strikes last year.

Baghdad - Najla al-Tai
Iraqi security forces have imposed strict security measures on the left side of the city of Mosul for fear of new attacks by the Da'ash organization . Iraqi Education Minister Muhammad Iqbal warned that the organization's crimes will only end with total eradication. The federal police confirmed that the organization "Da'ash" lost 60% of its defense capabilities and vital offices, in the old Mosul area, on the right side of the city. A source in the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said that the neighborhoods of the eastern part of Mosul witnessed, early Saturday morning, the arrival of large numbers of local police and the Iraqi army, adding that these forces spread at the entrances and exits of residential areas, and carried out a search campaign in some areas.
The source pointed to the establishment of multiple checkpoints to check the papers of vehicles and identities of pedestrians, indicating that these actions came because of fear of renewed attacks on the neighborhoods of the left coast of Mosul, which was announced by Iraqi forces, previously, the full liberation. The Iraqi authorities in Mosul, on Friday evening, a curfew on the neighborhoods on the left side of the city, after the security breaches and suicide bombings that took place there. In a statement, three Iraqi suicide bombers wearing explosive belts blew themselves up in Al-Muthanna district, east of Mosul, A number of citizens were killed and wounded.
Iraqi Education Minister Mohammad Iqbal condemned Saturday the suicide bombings that hit the Muthanna district on the city's left coast, pointing out in a brief statement that the crimes would only end with the total eradication of the organization. In January, Iraqi forces said they completely liberated the left side of Mosul, after three months of fighting in the battle to restore Mosul from the Da'ash control, which began on October 17, 2016. Last April, , The task of maintaining security on the left side of the Mosul to the commander of military operations in Nineveh, Major General Najm Jubouri, on the order of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider Abadi.
In contrast, the federal police confirmed that the organization "Da'ash" lost 60% of its defense capabilities and vital offices in the old Mosul area, on the right side of the city. In a statement read by "Arabs Today," Federal Police Chief Raed Shaker Jawdat said that a "preacher" was defeated in the old city and lost 60% of his defensive capabilities and vital offices. "Our forces are fighting a tactic aimed at luring elements of the organization and isolating them away from civilians and overcrowded areas. The sniper battalion controls the alleys and road junctions in Bab al-Bayd." Our marines bombed a convoy of the two thugs while trying to escape from a new door, .
Of the seven districts comprising the old Mosul area, the "Da'ash" organization now controls only three districts, Bab Sinjar, Farouk and Sargakhana. The old Mosul area represents the main challenge for the Iraqi forces in the campaign to liberate the city, because of its narrow and complex alleys, which makes military vehicles unable to enter, as well as the overcrowding of civilians. A local source in Nineveh province reported that three of the most prominent leaders of the Da'ash organization in Tal Afar district, west of the province, were killed in a bombardment targeting a meeting. The source said that three of the most prominent leaders of the "da'ash" in Tal Afar, including the head of the army's bureau in the organization, were killed in air strikes targeted a meeting for them. The source, who asked not to be named, that the bombing killed many of the companions of the three leaders, That the addressees where the meeting was held were bombed twice. Tal Afar is one of the largest districts in Nineveh province, which fell into the hands of Da'ash after June 2014 and is now one of the most important strongholds of the organization, while Iraqi forces are preparing to launch a military operation to regain control of the judiciary.
A local source in Nineveh province said Saturday that the Da'ash organization published a surprise circular in most of Tal Afar mosques, calling on its members to wait for an important statement about the organization's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The source said that the organization issued a surprise circular with the first morning hours, in most of the mosques in Tal Afar, in addition to its headquarters, calling to watch for an important statement on the leader of the organization. The source added that he did not know the nature of the statement, which he intends to "broadcast" broadcast, but there is a state of confusion is clear, as if talking about the killing of al-Baghdadi has become a reality, expected Al-Khobar or exile during the coming period.
In Ramadi, a security source in Anbar province said Saturday that a battalion of Ramadi tribesmen had taken control of the 160-Nukhayb road, southwest of Anbar. The source said that the sixth regiment in the mobilization of the tribes of Ramadi moved from the eastern sector of Ramadi, and took control of the segment of the area of Kilo 160, west of the city, to the Nukhayb (400 kilometers), and the road between them. He added that the regiment equipped with weapons and mechanisms of self, pointing out that the People's Assembly has not equipped the regiment only with some light weapons. It is noteworthy that the fighters of the Anbar tribes in the crowd are participating with the security forces in the liberation of cities raped by "Daash", while the fighters control the cities after the liberation with the army and police.
Politically, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Saleem al-Jubouri revealed in a press conference a conference of effective opposition forces in Baghdad next month, the first of its kind under international and international auspices, as well as the effects of the Gulf crisis on the political situation in Iraq.
