US Dollar Abolished From Iran-Iraq Trade
Sunday, September 02, 2018
The US dollar has been completely eliminated from trade deals conducted between Iran and Iraq due to US sanctions and the neighboring countries have shifted toward the euro and national currencies, the head of Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce said.
Dollar transactions between Iran and Iraq have been removed and a majority of deals are now being conducted with the euro, rial and Iraqi dinar,” Yahya Al-e Es’haq also told IBENA on Saturday.
US sanctions, whose first batch were reimposed after a wind-down period ended on Aug. 6 following a unilateral withdrawal by US President Donald Trump from Iran’s nuclear accord, seek to limit or eliminate Iran’s access to dollar transactions among other things.
Early August, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said Iraq disagrees with the US sanctions on Iran but would abide by them to safeguard its own interests. His comments triggered much criticism in Iran.

Nechervan Barzani calls on the Iraqi government to compensate the Anfal materially and morally
02/09/2018 - 00:38
This requirement must be made a key part of the dialogues to form the next government" ...
In the presence of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Najirvan Barzani and a large number of officials of the region, took place Saturday evening in the city of Dohuk. A ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Anfal area of Bhdainan, and the burial of the remains of 13 martyrs of Anfal Martyrs of Nizarki castle.
During the ceremony, Barzani delivered a speech during which he reviewed the crimes of the Anfal, which the people of Kurdistan, and called on the Iraqi government to compensate the Anfal material and moral and make this demand a key part of the dialogues of the Kurdistan Region to form a new Iraqi government.
The following is the text of the speech delivered by the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani:
Relatives and loved ones
O people of Bhdainan steadfast
Distinguished guests ...
Welcome all at this ceremony ..
I would like to extend a special welcome to the foreign consuls who participated in the decrees and to thank them for taking the trouble of traveling and coming from Erbil to participate in this ceremony, welcome.
We are here today, and this evening, we recall a painful tragedy, the tragedy of Anfal Bhdianan, here in the fortress of Nizarki and thirty years ago committed a crime against humanity in the ugliest way. Where the father was tortured and killed before the eyes of his children, and were separated sisters, brothers and fathers from each other. But where is the culprit? He is today in the dustbin of history, and Bidhenan, Dohuk and Kurdistan live free.
Yes, we are gathered here today to recall the pure lives of the thousands of martyrs who, in late August 1988, were subjected to the most heinous crimes in history against humanity. On August 25 and September 6, after the end of the Iran-Iraq war in 1988, five Iraqi army brigades launched the largest military operation against the people of Bhdianan. They targeted the villages and areas along the borders of Dohuk, Zakho, Amidi and Shikhan. The residents of the area were Muslims, Yazidis and Christians, none of whom were released from their hands.
Today, at this ceremony, I saw three models, five of whom were innocent, one brother of five members of his family Anfal, and a Christian girl who remained alone from her family. All these crimes were committed in Bhdianan.
Anfal Bhdianan, the last operation of Anfal, targeted the wider geography of this region. Where 620 villages were subjected to mass murder, crimes against humanity and war crimes against civilians in Bhdainan. Chemical weapons were used in 70 different areas. In some areas, citizens were executed by firing squad and about 25,000 families were displaced. Thousands of them were sent to Turkey, and thousands were deported to Erbil. They were besieged in Jezzanakan and in traffic.
The honorable people of Erbil, Jizaniqan and the movement and others, a humanitarian position and Kurdistan, a great supervisor, and ridiculed all their capabilities to help them and did not leave them alone, and their inspiration this page bright and beautiful history of Kurdistan can not be forgotten at all, and will remain what is left of history of respect and appreciation and pride.
In this regard, we reiterate our respect and appreciation to the people of Erbil, Jezniakan, Ba'abah and the adjacent areas, as well as to the Kurdish refugees in Europe who then brought the voices and cries of the Anfal people to the world.
During this inhumane crime, thousands were martyred and their remains were not found. As of today, the remains of 21 martyrs remained in Erbil, who were found in a mass grave, and the medical and legal procedures for identifying them have not yet ended. I call upon the concerned parties and the Anfal family to take all the facilities together and carry out all required blood tests and DNA to be identified and returned with respect in a ceremony to Bhdainan and Yawarwa Al Thar.
Today, during this ceremony we are burying thirteen remains of the martyrs of Anfal Bhdian, whose remains were found in a mass grave.
Distinguished guests ...
From the arrest, killing and displacement of our sisters and Filian brothers, until the arrival of the Barzilai nobility and the chemical bombardment of the city of Halabja and the operations of Anfal in the region of Karamian, Khushnauti and Bhdinan and then the mass killings that affected our sisters and brothers Yazidin and the killing and displacement of all the religious and national components of the people of Kurdistan, . Which can not accept coexistence, tolerance, and religious and national diversity. However, through the steadfastness and resistance of the people of Kurdistan, and with the courage of theKurdistan Peshmerga, the people of Kurdistan with all its religious and national components remained steadfast and will remain so.
Removal of Hashd al-Sha’abi Chief Iraq’s Internal Issue
Sunday, September 02, 2018
Iran says Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s decision to sack Falih Alfayyadh, national security adviser and head of Hashd al-Sha’abi, is an internal matter.
This is an internal Iraqi issue in which we do not interfere,” Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi told Iran’s Arabic-language Al-Alam television network, Press TV reported on Saturday.
For us as neighbors, a safe, unified and progressive Iraq is a priority over all else,” he said. Hashd al-Sha’abi is an Iraqi force backed by Iran and was instrumental in defeating the self-styled Islamic State terrorist group. Alfayyadh was removed on Friday, with Abadi’s office stating that the decision had been taken due to his involvement in “political and partisan work”. The decision has been attributed largely to Baghdad’s efforts to form a new government following parliamentary elections in May. Senior cleric Muqtada Sadr’s bloc came first in the polls, while the alliances led by Hadi al-Amiri and Prime Minister Abadi finished second and third. Before Abadi’s decision, reports surfaced alleging that Alfayyadh was working with other heavyweight political groups to establish the largest parliamentary bloc with expected influence in the make-up of the next government.

Since mid-July, protests have continued in Basra and several central and southern governorates to demand services and improve living conditions.
The situation in the province has worsened recently, after a tripling of drinking water, resulting in thousands of people being poisoned.
Yesterday evening, the security forces dispersed the demonstrators in the square of Abdul Karim Qasim in the center of Basra by firing tear gas, assaulting and beating them with batons, injuring several of them.
The Barzani Charity Foundation delivered an aid convoy of one million and 200 thousand bottles of drinking water, along with medicines and other aid to the province of Basra.
According to local sources, since the start of the protests, more than 750 people have been killed and wounded in the ranks of civilians and security forces in Basra and other provinces.

The official spokesman for the leader of the Sadrist movement Jaafar al-Moussawi said that "the angry outcry of millions in the coffins for Friday prayers is a cry of a people impatient towards a political class that manipulated all the country's capabilities and traded its daily sneeze, robbed it of its international standing and lost its national sovereignty."
