And in Iraq, in particular, is still the most dangerous thing facing the Iraqi economy is the frequent use of liquid cash, so the proliferation of electronic tools will certainly have positive effects on the Iraqi economy. Therefore, the Central Bank of Iraq has taken several steps to develop payment tools and has been distinguished by launching several projects aimed at reducing the use of traditional tools (money), including the project of localizing the salaries of state employees as well as the spread of card services of all kinds (credit or credit card, debit or city card, prepaid card ), As well as the proliferation of mobile phone service and electronic wallets.
Many economists have expected the disappearance of paper money from circulation after the emergence of the wave of modern tools, as electronic tools have become a threat to the existence of paper money, but the reality is that money has remained the main control in trading, because we still use liquid money in most of our daily dealings, as is the case in small shops and refiners Hair, taxi driver, etc. We do not accept others as a method of payment, as it represents a safe and reliable method, but in reality it is not the ideal solution.

It can be said that there is an opportunity to limit monetary dealing today through the emerging virus (Corona) and what is confirmed by this is made clear by the World Health Organization that dealing with banknotes is one of the main reasons for the transmission of this virus and other experts stressed that the exchange of banknotes is a source for the transmission of all types of bacterial and viral infections Therefore, most of the world's banks sterilized the banknotes in the automated teller machines (ATMs) to ensure no infection was transmitted, and the World Health Organization advised to switch to contactless cash payment to limit the spread of the virus. Consequently, this is considered an opportunity to increase awareness and turn towards the electronic card and to spread the points of sale at the stores extensively, but it requires an extensive media campaign to spread the electronic culture to individuals and shop owners and urge them and encourage them with electronic tools.

 Shell expects to write off assets of $ 800 million 

Royal Dutch Shell expects to write off asset value of up to $ 800 million in the first quarter of 2020, following a drop in oil prices, which slowed the energy giant’s operations.

They do not have any idea when they go back in.  It really was a quiet weekend.  Im guessing we will see oil prices drop sub-$20 soon…maybe even today. It may drop down to $12-$15 bucks…there is not demand…notice how empty the roads are.  IMO They are forcing the need for a reset.  

3-30-2020   Newshound Guru Pimpy  The temporary PM has now gotten a green light...the factions finally got together...Zafari is now a candidate and all the voting blocks had recommended him.  Yay!  Finally they agreed on something.   On March 16 the president Selih had appointed him as the temporary PM but now he's been approved by all the different parliamentary blocks.  Thank goodness...that's a step in the right direction...his name has now been officially recommended.

This can make the international Iraqi dinar exchange rate uncertain."  The above suggests they now are ready to go into the secondary markets. And to do so they have to be a hard currency.. Not a soft one. Hard currencies are international currencies with an internationally acceptable exchange rate... The ISX is under curfew? Why, when they can trade electronically or can they?   I'll bet the inter connectivity to the NSDAQ has something to do with it... They are a secondary market platform, are they not? Starting to get clearer? I sure hope so!!    It is sure is a beacon of light, imo..

3-30-2020   Intel Guru Frank26    Question:  How much advance notice will currency dealers be given before the rate changes?  IMO anywhere from I'd say 6 to 8 hours.  I know my broker will be notified.  He has to be.  He has to make a decision.  He can still sell dinars...he can shut down.  And if he shuts down selling dinar well then you tell those that gave you the license...that relationship is personal between the Treasury of the United States of America and my dealer...so how much notice?  IMO the time period that you are asleep...

Al-Fateh: The Zarrafi negotiating team began to offer temptations to the blocs, not their mask

Al-Fateh coalition revealed, on Monday, that the negotiating team for the formation of the Adnan Al-Zorfi government presented a number of temptations for positions and ministries to political blocs to persuade them to pass its government, indicating that the team has so far failed to persuade any bloc.

"The prime minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zorfi, came under American pressure, which increased the size of the masses that refused to pass it," said Al-Fath Muhammad Karim, in a press statement.

He added that "Al-Zrafi's negotiating team, which holds continuous meetings with the political blocs, began to offer temptations to the blocs in ministerial positions," noting that "the team has failed to persuade any blocs of temptations until now."

He explained that "the indicators show the inability of Al-Zrafi to persuade the blocs to pass his cabinet before the end of the constitutional period," noting that "even the blocs supporting him began to back down after the attempts of his negotiating team to offer temptations."

A deputy reveals a Shiite division over the passage of the Zarfi government

The deputy of the Sadikoun parliamentary bloc, Fadel Jaber, revealed, on Monday, a great division between the Shiite political blocs over the passing of the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zorfi, while he stated that the Al-Fateh Alliance is still adhering to his position rejecting the passage of Al-Zarfi.

Jaber said in a press statement, "The Shiite blocs are divided among themselves regarding the passage of al-Zarfi and there are forces that changed their positions after the negotiations," pointing out that "Al-Fateh insists on not passing the Zarfi and still rejects it."

He added that "the Sunni and Kurdish blocs informed us that they would not risk passing Zarafi without agreeing between him and the Shiite forces," noting that "the Sunnis and the Kurds do not want to pass a prime minister who is not agreed upon by a Shiite."

Today, Monday, Al-Fateh deputy, Hammam Al-Tamimi, affirmed that the issue of passing the government of Designated Adnan Al-Zarfi reached a dead end, and he only has to apologize in order to protect face, indicating that the political forces have reached advanced stages by naming the alternative.

The international coalition forces hand over their headquarters in Nineveh to the Ministry of Defense

Today, Monday, Thursday, the international coalition forces handed over their headquarters in Nineveh Governorate to the Ministry of Defense.

"Based on the results of the dialogues between the Iraqi government and the international coalition, the site occupied by the international coalition mission inside a camp in the Nineveh Operations Command has been returned to the Iraqi forces," the joint operations command said in a statement received [Wayne].

He added that "handing over the site came after the withdrawal of the international coalition from it, in accordance with its commitment to return the sites it was occupying within the Iraqi military bases and camps."

The Iraqi forces received earlier the K1 base in Kirkuk governorate and the Qaim base on the border with Syria, as well as the Qayyara base in Nineveh governorate.
