Banking reforms still need to be done, laws still need to be passed, investors need to come and set up business and there is a criticle vote Oct 24 on the CBI governor...If we're lucky and Iraq succeeds in launching a market economy around the first of the year, and we see the significant transition built into the budget for 2020, then we should see the Central Bank move off the peg and begin to float the currency next year. BAGHDAD: Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi has agreed to open the Al-Qaim border crossing with Syria on Monday, the official Iraqi border crossing agency said.
"Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi agreed to open the outlet of Al-Qaim border with Syria next Monday, 30 September," Al-Sumeriya quoted Al-Din al-Qaisi as saying.
A source familiar with "Alsumaria" that "the opening of the port will be in front of goods and travelers."
Al-Qaim crossing in Anbar province, western Iraq, was liberated from ISIS in November 2017. The reopening of the crossing has been postponed several times because it has not been rehabilitated.

And I believe they will and are creating the conditions for a market economy to create pressure on the financial system allowing the currency to appreciate be a float. We certainly have seen a lot of effort the last several months by the Iraqi government to line up investment to create a private sector as well as rebuild the infrastructure. Iraq has clearly stated they need $80 billion dollars to accomplish this.

The slow climb of 1090 to 1 up to 1 to 1 isn't likely to occur since speculators will exert buying pressure and the secondary market would get overheated very quickly. Yet, to say that 40 trillion in IQD is suddenly worth 40 trillion USD on the foreign (or domestic) exchange can't happen either. Even the US only possesses about a 3.3 trillion USD money supply (M0) of late. The truth, I believe, will be a happy medium between the extremes of an overnight revaluation on the one hand, and a long-term crawl on the other, to find its true, happy equilibrium.

A phototherapy technique can help young people sleep an extra 45 minutes per night, according to a medical study in the United States.

The doctors relied on what is known as the "treatment of radioactive light," and the idea is that we can adjust the sleep hour, when exposed to radioactive light during the morning.
Every 20 seconds, the sleeper flashes the spotlight during the two hours preceding the wake-up time.
Researchers say this effect occurs in the body, changing the biological clock by exposing the sleeping person to flashes of light before he wakes up.
The study shows that the advantage in these light rays is that they are invisible, and therefore, do not lead to awakening the sleeping person.
A number of adolescents were subjected to this experience, and reported noticeably feeling sleepy early in the night, which made them go to sleep and get longer rest.
The study comes amid growing concerns about the lack of sleep of children and adolescents, whether due to busy or the high demand for electronic devices and Internet use during the night.
Health experts say people who do not sleep long enough are at greater risk of serious health disorders such as high blood pressure, a weak immune system and heart attacks, as well as disturbed moods, loss of balance and decreased libido.
