Donald Trump Loves Gold, and Not Just on His Real Estate
It isn't one of the talking points his communications office has addressed, and it hasn't been the subject of impromptu remarks at speaking engagements. Nonetheless, it's clear that Donald Trump adores gold. In September 2011, he accepted a security deposit of $176,000 in the form of gold bullion. And in a 2016 interview with GQ, he opined: "Bringing back the gold standard would be very hard to do, but boy, would it be wonderful. We'd have a standard on which to base our money."
This is insufficient material, though, for us to be sure of his stance. Rather, it's his comments regarding the dollar -- and commerce in general -- that provide enough substance for us to discern his perspective. Since the price of gold often moves in opposition to the value of the dollar, it's logical to conclude that his comments, or actions, that adversely affect the strength of the dollar will, consequently, benefit gold prices.
So let's grab our shovels and unearth the evidence proving that Trump is an aficionado of gold.
Blame it on the tractors
Although Trump apparently embraces the gold standard, the likelihood that the U.S. will return to it would be highly unlikely at best. It's his comments from a Republican debate that suggests his love of gold. Addressing what he characterized as unfair trade practices, Trump suggested that the U.S. has lost between 4 million and 7 million jobs because of China's efforts to devalue its currency.
Japan compounded the problem, he said, by devaluing the yen, giving companies such as Komatsu an edge over American-based companies. Trump claimed: "Friends of mine are ordering Komatsu tractors now because they've devalued the yen to such an extent that you can't buy a Caterpillar tractor. And we're letting them get away with it, and we can't let them get away with it."
Apparently, the market has accepted Trump's claims. Since he has assumed office, gold has risen in almost exactly inverse proportion to the dollar index.
Walking back his tough talk -- but only a little
Despite the vitriol he showed regarding foreign currency manipulation during his campaign, Trump has since been more measured in addressing the issue. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal in April, Trump revealed that he didn't intend to label China as a "currency manipulator" -- a claim he made during the campaign. To do so could very well have resulted in a weakening of the dollar and a rise in the price of gold.
But that comment was just a snapshot of the interview.
Later, he returned to addressing the value of the dollar. And according to him, the dollar is getting ahead of itself, suggesting the dollar was "getting too strong" and adversely affecting the economy. He may have been reluctant to place a label on China, but he wasn't afraid to reaffirm his general position: "It's very, very hard to compete when you have a strong dollar and other countries are devaluing their currency."
This statement, paired with his perception that the dollar was too strong, shook the market. Following the interview, the dollar dropped while gold rose.
More talk to come later, though?
Consistent with his previous statements, Trump has so far failed to label China as a "currency manipulator," but that hasn't compromised his strong stance against the country. Trade talks between the two nations ended in mid-July without any progress. Both countries agreed, however, to "work cooperatively" in pursuit of reducing the U.S. trade deficit.
And how did the market react to the unproductive trade talks with China? The strength of the dollar has since dropped approximately 1.54% as of this writing, and the price of gold has risen about 2.34%.
Investor takeaway
Hardly one to mince words, Trump has repeatedly proven his willingness to speak his mind on nearly every topic which grabs his attention. Gold, however, is something which he has been less direct about, but judging by his comments about the dollar, one can reasonably infer that he is partial to the yellow metal. This may come as welcome news to gold investors, believing that gold prices will continue to rise through a Trump presidency, but they must temper their excitement.
Trump's perspective on the dollar and trade relations may contribute to upticks in the price of gold, but his opinion is not the stuff upon which investors should base a long-term investment. Savvy investors know that successful investing is as much a matter of patience and discretion as it is recognition of market dynamics. In other words, the price of gold may rise as the president comments on trade relations and a weaker dollar, but these are temporary events -- something which long-term investors should disregard.

Oil trades near $49 as prices still capped by sufficient supply
Chron.com
Chron.com
(Bloomberg) -- Oil traded near $49 a barrel in New York amid speculation that plentiful supplies will continue to thwart any further rallies. Futures fell 1.3 percent. While growth in U.S. drilling has stalled and Libya’s production revival was dealt a setback by protests, rebounding output is still capping prices, according to Saxo Bank A/S. A committee co-chaired by Kuwait and Russia will examine why some participants in the deal between OPEC and other producers to reduce global supply aren’t Read the full story

Oil prices are getting back on the roller coaster

Anyone involved in the oil business better batten down the hatches because storm clouds are gathering to bring volatility back to the markets. OPEC oil ministers can't get their stories straight, oil companies are doing more with less, Venezuela's president has set his country on fire and President Donald Trump has imposed sanctions on both Venezuela and Russia, two major sources of oil. That's a recipe for wild swings in oil prices even without an unforeseen shock to the system. Read the full story

IRAQ is freed by the IMF, the BIS, the USA and they have been and still are all congratulating them on it. There are very explicit articles about it. The IMF and United Nations are no longer making demands but are congratulating them. The new international financial system went live around July 26. August is a month of aclaimation of the monitary reform for the citizens of Iraq where and a month where in the US we do nothing because everyone is on vacation congress, the president, etc. We are very interested to watch what happens on the 21st of August. But nothing happens in the US in August and nothing happens in regards to announcing a rate in August. Historically April and September have been the months when most revaluations have happened. The 21st we are watching the payments and the rates then we are going to be paying real close attention to the 1st thru the 10 th of September. But we could see a heck of a lot of things between the 15th and the 21st of August. He says his friend in Iraq says that in August the ATMS will be loaded with currency of their country. These ATMS are not just in Iraq but also in neighboring countries of Iraq. Each ATM will have its own currency representing the country where it resides and also Iraq Dinar, and US Dollars. His friend has 16 partners. Of those 16 two own private banks in Iraq. Four own banks outside of Iraq in neighboring countries. Each bank is assigned 2 ATM machines. These partners have 4 ATMS inside Iraq and 8 ATMS outside of Iraq. All 12 of these ATMS are all linked with the Central Bank of Iraq under international standards. There are thousands of other ATMS in the region that have to have the same capabilities. He says to pay attention to articles about Kuwait that will soon be comming out. Kuwait will be allowed to.invest in Iraq. They will be given what they are owed in equivalent investments in Iraq. The ATMS will be dispensing lower denoms of Dinar very soon. The ATMS do not recognize the software that supports the 3 zeros. The Dinar and dollar are pegged 1 to 1. Article 8 is about to be removed. In about 2 weeks they will load the ATM machines. Abadi has calculated very well, because in September when most currency revaluations happen, there are Elections for the parlament in the provinces. On May 21, June 21, and July 21 payments had to be made the way Iraq said and July 21 the pay rate dollars to dinar was 1 to 1. We hope on August 21 to see 1 to 1 on the CBI website. Donald Trump comes back from vacation August 21. There is an eclipse that will black out the USA on August 21 in more ways than you could ever

8-7-2017 Newshound Guru Islandg1211 Today the GOI passed laws related to decentralize government and elections in the provinces. These are important to support the local governments which us apart of the original UN plan to rebuild the country of Iraq as a democracy. So they are complying with the UN sanctions to de-centralize the government. The GOI has actually done something last week and today when they approved the budget amendment. That was a requirement of the IMF, and by passing it, they got the loan installment approval from the IMF's review. Today's regional laws help them comply with the UN. So the GOI actual made progress. But, the real need here is a deal with the Kurds. They are coming to Baghdad next week but it's all about Barzani getting his own country. Also they announced that the budget has been amended and is projected to go from 95% revenue derived from oil down to 85%. That's an important step to economic diversification that the IMF wanted. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

Yes, we are closer than ever, but closer is not ‘the end’, which is what we need for the release. [is it possible have this RV could sneak up on us all without any preliminary warning and surprise even you?] No way it could sneak up and surprise me, and I think there are too many people watching this 24/7, looking for these changes. [You don’t think this will go into 2018?] Anything is possible, but if everything goes according to the information I have been listening to, then it should be done before the end of this month, so September and 2018 are irrelevant.
8-7-2017 Newshound Guru Kaperoni Article: "Keywords confirms the existence of a large and promising role for the private sector in the next phase" It seems very matter of fact that between now and end of the year they will open the banking system to facilitate investors/investment. I cannot see how they could achieve a private sector without doing so. This article states two things very clearly, "next stage" and "activating the investment side." One has to come to a reasonable conclusion that "next stage" means within 6 months. And "activating the investment side" means the banking sector simply because investment is not possible without it. I think we should look for significant changes from the CBI by end of year if not sooner.

8-7-2017 Intel Guru RayRen98 Kurds are on their way to Baghdad to discuss their issues and Article 140 to be activated. It’s believed that will take place within two days. The appeal to the Budget has supposedly been rescinded; that was to be addressed on 21 August...and it might have held things up, but if it has been rescinded that’s no longer an issue. If Article 140 is activated, that might be the signal for the ATMs to function and dispense the lower denominations. That will be a great sign of progress. Good things could pop out this week, in Iraq. From the information I’ve received, it looks like Iraq should be moving in the next couple of days...

We have officially entered into a divine feminine era. It's new. And for men, it's a supporting role versus a leading part.
For women, it's new too. Stepping up into your power ladies is real, as men take a necessary step back to balance out the energies of the world.
You know it. So do they. Please lead us. We need help.
For as a species and planet, we are so very out of balance. It won't take long to correct this cosmic injustice, but we must do our indivisible jobs as written in the golden book of fate.
Which is also real. No getting around its truth either. It's just so, and so it is.
So as we leap off one reality ledge and into another dimension, I wanted to offer this enduring quote that has stuck with me in times of unbearable duress.
"The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it." - Moliere
This truth seems illogical if not irrational when going through your unbearable struggles, I know first hand. Yet somehow I was always able to process my own sufferings as benevolent bricks along a pathway leading to my greatest glory.
The one Moliere spoke of, and I now speak to you.
It took twelve yeas for me to realize my philanthropic desires of rescuing my hometown and family... and for that IAM most grateful.
It took twelve years for my wife and to realize our shared dream of becoming a family (my daughter Anela's pictured below was born a year ago today on 8/8).![https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcHzAQ2jzmXxTtVfUDyDG0SwyKIi8amZ9afRe0eqXk09XR46QHls2x0XVcR2IM-QVsF0PF3y8eDyya_d3qnXgTApW3nrf-CUpgLF6K3LqisAiPqz27psHsS2yVbIxFIHiaVVIDkoBU8To/s400/image2.PNG]()
I share this now because I was born on 12/12, as if God was telling me my two most difficult obstacles were going to take twelve years each to overcome.
Boy, Moliere wasn't kidding! Ouch!
Yet all the misery I was made to endure or brought upon myself along the way would ultimately facilitate my greatest glory... and go far beyond.
My daughter is soooooo cool. She is my reward for sticking out the RV no doubt.
This was my path. It's one of billions, all equal in the eyes of God.
But I'm sure there are breadcrumbs God has left behind for you in your own difficult yet heroic path.
Because finally, you're now going to realize all those irrational dreams and never again have even the need to look back at your sufferings and failures.
So before receiving such a blessing, perhaps it's wise to take a moment and look back as to witness everything "bad in your life." Allow the possibility it was actually created from a place of agape love as to prepare you now for your glory.
Good luck in your new reality everyone.
Be blessed in all you do and say, as the divine feminine era of enlightenment was. Ken this afternoon and shall exist for the remainder of our earthly days.
Hallelujah! Look always to serve versus being served, bless versus be blessed, and give versus receive.
For we are the chosen, and why our obstacles were so brutal, crippling and long.
