The Governor of the Central Bank delivers certificates of participation of the advanced banking system

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mr. Ali Mohsen Ismail, handed over the certificates of participation to a number of employees of government and private banks after passing a course in the advanced banking system and also in the subjects of combating money laundering and terrorism financing and tax compliance law.
The governor said during a speech that such participations by the cadres of all Iraqi banks will be reflected positively on the banking reality in order to achieve the desired goals, including real integration between all banks and access to the application of the best modern technologies that serve the citizen.

One of them carried Iraqi oil across Syria to Lebanon’s Mediterranean coast, another to Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, largely bypassing the Kurdish region, and one to the Red Sea across Saudi Arabia. Iraq earlier this month announced plans to build a crude pipeline to fellow OPEC member Iran.
