Turkey: Iran Supports Potential Turkish Operation in North Iraq

Wednesday, June 13, 2018
Iran has voiced support for a potential Turkish operation against Kurdish militants just over its border in northern Iraq, Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli said on Tuesday.
The Turkish military has ramped up air strikes in northern Iraq targeting Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) bases in Qandil, close to the Iraq-Iran border, where high-ranking members of the militant group are thought to be based.
The government has also said Turkish troops have deployed roughly 30 km (nearly 20 miles) inside northern Iraq, not far from Qandil.
“Our offer to Iran was to carry out the operation together. Iran, in its remarks at least, has voiced very important support,” Canikli told a roundtable interview with the state-run Anadolu news agency, Reuters reported.
There was no immediate confirmation of his assertion from Tehran.
Canikli said Turkey was also in full agreement with Baghdad on a potential operation into Qandil, adding that Ankara was in talks with “all possible countries” on the matter.
Iraq, however, said it would not accept any Turkish operation against Qandil or other PKK strongholds.
“The Iraqi government will not accept any advance on its land by Turkish forces in pursuit of the PKK elements currently present in the Sinjar, Makhmour and Qandil mountains,” Saad al-Hadithi, a spokesman for Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi told the Iraqi News Agency.d

Iran will issue bonds in the coming months to invest in the oil sector, a month after the United States withdrew from the nuclear deal and re-imposed unilateral sanctions, the head of the Iranian Securities and Exchange Commission, Shabor Mohammadi, said.
"The Securities and Exchange Commission and the Oil Ministry have been negotiating for a year and a half to issue bonds for oil projects, and we hope to implement this in a few months," Mohammadi said in remarks published by the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Iran is taking quick steps to preserve its oil exports to avoid the consequences of US sanctions aimed at undermining Tehran's ability to export crude.
Iran's moves seem to be in the interest of countries aspiring to curb US hegemony over the world economy, including China, which analysts say US sanctions on Iranian oil are in favor of the China Petroleum Exchange and Beijing's efforts to make the yuan a major currency in global oil trade.
In this context, Minister of Economy and Finance Massoud Karabasian announced today that the trade between Iran and China will be based on the national currency of the two countries, according to a memorandum of understanding signed during the visit of Iranian President Hassan Rowhani to China.
Four memorandums of understanding have been signed for mutual cooperation in various fields, including the development of technical and scientific cooperation, cooperation in the stock exchange and securities, and the promotion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of banking, oil, petrochemical and trade, he said. The two countries have been demarcated as part of a roadmap that will determine the quota of each country, without further details.
China, the world's largest buyer of crude oil, imported about 655,000 barrels per day of oil on average from Iran in the first quarter of 2018, according to official Chinese customs data, accounting for more than a quarter of Iran's total exports.
Between 2012 and 2015, with EU and US sanctions aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear program, Chinese companies have accounted for about half of Iran's oil exports, which have fallen more than half to cost Tehran $ 80 billion in lost revenue

6-13-2018   Intel Guru Delta  [via sunny]  The UN Security Council (UNSC) released all remaining sanctions of the last 16 years.  This means the rate can go back to over $3.00.  In 2003 the UN took Iraq’s currency, the dinar, down to 1/10 cent to prevent Sadaam from using funds for terrorism.  The frozen assets the UNSC released of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) were in the mega $$.   This is HUGE!  Iraq will have their currency in a 2% compliant rate for 90 days on June 15 as required by the IMF.  The Iraq currency needs to see re-instatment shortly. The revaluation is separate from the Iraq Elections.  Alak, the CBI governor has said, "Lift restrictions on exchange rate 1st half of 2018."  CBI will pull the trigger either the last week of June or last 10 days of June.

We still wait to hear for the ruling on this issue from the Judiciary. They were supposed to rule in 48 hours...

It might delay the government formation process well into 2019 and cause further party fragmentation."  Excellent article in voter fraud and recount in the Iraqi Election. Note that the author ideates on the possibility of the formation of a new government in Iraq being delayed until 2019.  We shall see. Tune in tomorrow for another day in the life of the " democratic experiment " in Iraq.  Democracy is a messy business. I have not abandoned hope for Iraq, but it is foolish to think that we can know what and when anything may happen.

6-11-2018 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat Now we witnessed this same pattern. The Sadr Movement needs to get rid of all of these crooked politicians. ...Now I believe Iraq may sincerely get the power to actually do it. No more negotiating on the elections results just to compromise to allow these goons to stay yet another 4 years in some kind of political position, thus immune from prosecution. I am hopeful Sadr will finally...put an end to this chapter of Iraqi history once and for all. It sounds like someone (namely) Sadr, has the political will and clout to do it. [post 2 of 2]

Learn about diseases caused by air conditioning

ANKARA, Iraq (AP) - June 12 - Turkish newspaper Khabar Turk published a report on human diseases that could be caused by air conditioning during the summer. For this reason, you should be careful of this device to keep us healthy.

"The use of air conditioners to cool the atmosphere in the summer can cause many of the microbes to pass through the respiratory system," the paper said in its report. This leads to diseases such as pneumonia, pneumonia and others. "

"The transmission of diseases is done in the absence of cleanliness and sterilization of air conditioners, resulting in deposits of the types of bacteria, which live in the wet and cold climate somewhat. These bacteria pass through the respiratory system, and lead to injury to many human diseases. People with immune deficiency are also at greater risk. "

"The symptoms of airborne diseases are high fever, numbness, joint pain, and severe cough. Other symptoms include difficulty in removing phlegm, headache, confusion of vision, difficulty in breathing, and a constant need for sleep.

"The most people who have to take action to prevent these diseases are those with low immunity. Symptoms of these problems are in the form of normal flu, but soon turn into pneumonia. Therefore, these people should be careful during the summer and follow up and check the cleanliness of air conditioners in the places where they live or spend their summer vacation. They must also make sure that the bathing areas are clean and where there is moisture and water. "

"People over the age of 50 years, patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma patients, as well as newborns are more likely to develop" air-conditioning disease ". Cancer patients, patients receiving cortisone therapy for a while, and patients who have undergone organ transfers from the most vulnerable groups to these problems. "

"Diseases caused by the use of air conditioners are divided into two parts: diseases caused by sudden changes in temperature using the highest degree of adaptation without gradualism, such as colds and others, and others resulting from not keeping Clean air conditioners, which causes the transmission of bacteria through the respiratory system, and the incidence of various pulmonary diseases.

The doctor said that the bacteria called "toxic mucus" is causing the diseases of air conditioners, where these bacteria live in the water areas and wet areas. These microorganisms can survive for a long time, making them able to live within air conditioners.

"These bacteria are present in the air conditioning of hotels and similar places. They also spread through the water used, especially in hoses and shower hoses in bathrooms, especially if the conditions of cleanliness are not perfect.

"These bacteria do not significantly affect those who have strong immunity. In particular, these bacteria are harmful to patients with chronic respiratory diseases, neonates, cancer patients and other vulnerable individuals. "

The doctor revealed "symptoms of air conditioning disease, which is the feeling of indigestion, and the spread of pain in the muscles and joints, headache and headache during the first two days of the entry of bacteria to the victim's body. After that, the temperature rises and shows signs of acute cough, in addition to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. The first step of treatment is to go directly to the doctor for the necessary tests and diagnosis of the disease.

The paper said that "the methods of prevention of air-conditioning diseases are the periodic maintenance of clean and sterilized, and ensure the safety of bacteria filters in them. The ideal temperature is about 25 degrees. In addition, there should be no direct exposure to air conditioners, and periodic checks of air conditioners. "

In conclusion, the paper said that the prevention of air-conditioning disease is easy, and this can be done through these methods of prevention. In general, prevention is better than cure.
