7th November 2019 in Politics, Security
The United States has a strong and abiding interest in a secure and prosperous Iraq able to defend the nation against violent extremist groups and able to deter those who would undermine Iraqi sovereignty and democracy.
As the world watches events in Iraq unfold it is increasingly clear that the Government of Iraq and the country’s political leaders must engage seriously and urgently with Iraqi citizens who are demanding reform. There is no path forward based on suppression of the will of the Iraqi people.
We deplore the killing and kidnapping of unarmed protesters, threats to freedom of expression, and the cycle of violence taking place. Iraqis must be free to make their own choices about the future of their nation.

Iraqi and Lebanese revolt against parties

Thursday, November 7, 2019

Let us the individuals we were looking for yesterday as intellectuals, analysts, historians, writers and researchers, and ask where they are from these millions of Iraqi and Lebanese, which went out of her father's desire to restore the national state and expel the Iranian occupation, today we ask even where the political parties and associations that cracked our heads with slogans and statements and invitations and demands With the departure of the occupier, the independence of the state and its Arabism?

Do you know what surprise your tongues held? The Iraqi and Lebanese revolution today is against political “parties”, not against military or tribal regimes, but against parties that have been given the opportunity to rule and this is the result. This is frightening to you. This is what mute you today. You saw your future if you had the chance.

Otherwise, where were those who were keen to declare the position of their political parties, so they went to mourn and wear mourning clothes for the death of terrorists in Bahrain.

The Iraqi and Lebanese citizens revealed your employment, your use of values, principles and slogans, revealed your contradiction and your double standards.

Shamikm on the Maghrebkm, and you only collect crude opportunism and sold your principles in return for calculations determine who stands with who does not stand with what, and this calculation has nothing to do with the principle, but is a calculation that is intended to gain political gains do not mind to be on the blood of innocent people and their lives.

The Arab Spring exposed you when you put your hand in the hands of the Western leftist movement, and accepted to be partners to those you were calling the Zionist capitalist imperialists, participated with them in order to demolish your countries and rise to its fall to power, then you allied as you progressive enlightenment with theocratic thought with the backward religious parties, then finally revealed you Iraqi and Lebanese Once again, when you fall into your hands and see how people revolted against parties that pledged their countries for their own gains, just as you do today, your tongues held the end of the scenario you never expected.

The lesson is not the founding of the parties, but the lesson in the positions taken by those parties, you are no more than ideological cantons take from the dreams of the people to the peace of their ambitions .. What shame you derangers.

Note:

Many of your quarters left your boats early after I discovered your opportunism, and they shy away from themselves that deceived your slogans after witnessing your treachery of your principles.

I can't imagine a more solid argument for Iraq's future than that! WTI oil pricing is stable.  The work that was being done hasn't backtracked - it's just paused. Progress made has not been lost - just paused.  ...the situation will work itself out, and we'll be back on track shortly...keep your head up and stay positive. This train is still heading the right direction.   [post 2 of 2]

11-6-2019   Newshound Guru Adam Montana   Iraq isn't in the best possible spot this week...we are nearing a month of protests. Mahdi has promised to resign once a successor is named. They are working on a new election law that will likely eliminate a handful of positions in the GOI, and thereby reduce a bit of the corruption. Bad news - nothing is happening immediately. It appears that things are settling, but realistically this is going to take a couple more weeks.  On the positive side...  [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

11-6-2019  Intel Guru Frank26  Did you notice that these vital signs have not moved …very stable…we have a country under turmoil, basically under war and it’s fascinating just like [Guru] Delta said that the exchange rate of the dinar in some markets is high.  It doesn’t suffer.  It’s going up!  And then on top of that nothing seems to bother the exchange rate...something so devastating, the loss of lives is not causing any loss in the monetary and in the monetary reform of the Iraqi dinar.  Fascinating isn’t it?

11-6-2019   Newshound Guru Jeff   Article “President Barzani:  Iraqi PM Mahdi needs to be given ‘more changes’ for reform” …this article is so revealing.  It screams at you from many angles - rate change.  They’re even telling you the steps that are waiting on the rate change right in this article.  This was a great article…

11-6-2019   Intel Guru Frank26    firefly77 says announcing agreement has been met today with Barzari in Baghdad to pay the citizens their monthly HCL oil credits...No amount given just deal reached by government to help keep Iraq from going back into chapter 7.  If this comes to pass the amount would be over 1 USA dollar from previous agreements…We await to see what unfolds and see if this comes to pass

11-5-2019 Intel Guru MarkZ As for the QFS.. We are supposedly getting the pinging now in Europe that started over night last night…the rumor is when that is finished we may see 800 numbers... Still hearing that the reset is moving east to west… In Iraq I am being told that the UST has had people in Iraq for a few days now… We have heard that we will all go together…when we are in a Gold Backed currency… I personally think we are at the end now…I really think this is going to be our week.

Erdogan reveals the outcome of detainees from the family of Baghdadi
Agencies - Abu Dhabi
November 7, 2019

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that members of the "close circle" of former ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had tried to enter Turkey from Syria.

Erdogan added that the number of people with family links to Baghdadi arrested by Turkey "is about to exceed ten."

Erdogan and Turkish officials revealed on Wednesday that Turkish police arrested a widow of Baghdadi and one of his daughters last year. This week, Turkish authorities said they had arrested Baghdadi's elder sister, husband, son-in-law and five children in Syria.

The leader of ISIS was killed on 26 October in a US military operation in the village of Brisha in Idlib province, northwest of Syria, in areas under the influence of Ankara. US President Donald Trump said Baghdadi spent the last moments of his life screaming and moaning and then blew himself up with an explosive belt after he found himself trapped in a tunnel.

The brother of former ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi traveled several times to the Turkish city of Istanbul via northern Syria before being killed in October after a US military operation. The paper quoted two Iraqi intelligence sources as saying that Baghdadi's brother was one of the trusted envoys of the ISIS leadership, because he was delivering and keeping information about terrorist operations in Syria, Iraq and Turkey.

Turkey was heavily criticized after Operation Baghdadi. Brett McGurk, a former US envoy to the International Coalition to Combat ISIS, said in an article in The Washington Post that the US military launched its military operation against Baghdadi from Iraqi territory, while he could do so from facilities. Turkey is close, and this probably shows mistrust in Ankara.

Turkey was informed of the operation shortly before the implementation, which was the same time that saw the notification of two countries falling under the category of adversaries, namely Russia and Syria, while Turkey is supposed to be among the allies.
