Hours after postponing the announcement of the State of Law coalition for its candidate to head the next government, the coalition returned on Monday, to confirm that its candidate for this position is Nuri al-Maliki, the former prime minister for two terms, and the man who is described as very strong in post-Iraq. 2003.

Nouri al-Maliki, the archenemy of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, is now an official candidate, amid silence from the forces of the coordination framework (an expanded Shiite umbrella except for the Sadrist movement), and also amid anticipation of al-Sadr's position personally on this nomination, while a former deputy of the Sadrist movement called Al-Amiri is absent from the nomination as "the devil's dream of heaven."

Meanwhile, the observer of political affairs, Muhammad Ali Hussein, told (Iraq Today), that "the nomination is not a surprise in itself, but the surprise is that the nomination turns into a reality, and the man proceeds to form a third ministry in this era, supported by a strong internal force, in addition to an international welcome and at the head of Welcome to the administration of US President Joe Biden, which seems to do not mind the return of al-Maliki to power in Baghdad, based on a long history of cooperation between Biden, who was President Barack Obama, and also al-Maliki's experience in dealing with a Democratic administration in the White House.

While an informed source suggested that a comment from the Sadrist movement would be issued in the next few hours on this nomination, at a time informed sources reported that “the main framework forces will not mind al-Maliki’s nomination to the end of the journey, but there is a reservation, perhaps from the leader of the Badr Organization Hadi al-Amiri, who pays By not provoking al-Sadr and dragging him into a clash with the framework forces, which will obstruct the formation project, and may push matters to slip beyond the political scramble.

Meanwhile, political analyst Salam Al-Awadi expected the coordination framework forces to go to internal options to resolve the controversy over the nomination for the prime minister's position.

Al-Awadi said in an interview with (Iraq Today), that "Al-Maliki's candidacy held the internal framework crisis, and it may end up putting the candidates for prime minister on the internal vote to resolve the differences, and here the internal balances will play their game in favoring one candidate over another."

In the same context, the leader of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, hinted at a veiled refusal to nominate personalities he said were provocative for prime minister, calling for the selection of a moderate figure acceptable to all.

An Economist Confirms The Inability At The Present Time To Reduce The Exchange Rate Of The Dollar

link

The economic expert, Dr. Safwan Qusay, explained that the current time does not allow changing the exchange rate of the dollar and raising the value of the Iraqi dinar without taking measures to ensure that the dinar maintains its value.

Qusay told Al-Maalouma, "The Central Bank confirmed that there is no justification for restoring the dollar exchange rate to its previous era, especially since the process of defending the value of the Iraqi dinar needs reserves that grow over time in this bank, as well as the process of rehabilitating the economy to be productive. And he can defend the value of the dinar.”

He added that "Iraq does not currently have revenues in dinars other than the legal revenues approved by the government for fees, taxes and others, and when the Iraqi economy is rehabilitated so that there are revenues from the geographical location or the industrial, food and agricultural sectors, as the process of changing the shape of the economy is what will allow the value of the dinar to increase “.

And he indicated that “the increase, if it takes place, will be unreal, and Iraq may feel that this increase will not be in place, and it is better to invest the savings that the country obtains from high oil prices for strategic investment projects so that it will be a base for defending the Iraqi dinar to absorb unemployment and reduce poverty.”

Methodology for discussing inflation as a structural problem for the Iraqi economy

link

At the outset, I contemplate the openness of the chest and the broadness of the horizon in accepting the opinion and the other opinion and giving priority to the economic, financial and national development interests, and the belief in allowing the flexibility to present and generate new ideas as much as is available to stimulate dialogues and proposals with high flexibility and not to be excluded or neutralized to sustain the presentation of ideas and visions and the maturation of intellectual projects and to ensure the succession of the series of ideas And dialogues and propositions specialized constructive, objective and intellectual disability .

The economic elite holding decision-making and economic theorizing should understand that the intellectual clash will appear at first sight to be in opposition to or as an intellectual and fundamental challenge to the theoretical propositions and the intellectual and methodological depth of the nature of the Iraqi economic mentality that adopts the theoretical ideas and propositions derived from the thought of capitalist theory and patterns of Islamic economic and social thought, but upon closer consideration The in-depth analysis and economic understanding from multiple angles reveals, at the second and perhaps third, a positive economic intellectual difference to bring about intellectual transformations for the supply of the intellectual proposal and the nature of the formation of solutions and the proposed economic model in an unconventional way, and the adoption of a new economic methodological path will certainly need a time-consuming agreement with this new economic intellectual approach... In order to bring about effective non-traditional solutions and adopt a new methodological economic path ….

Briefly and objectively to address inflation in Iraq, as an introduction, the basic and essential features and reasons for sustaining real and unreal inflation in Iraq should be known :

Politically oriented reforms in Iraq in the 1990s, post-2014 and low economic efficiency, over-centralization, over-dependence on external factors, business psychology, and underdevelopment of the financial market. Anti-inflation opportunities, monetary policy constraints and related to the federal public budget, the interrelationship between inflation targeting and economic growth, and the role of industry, agricultural and tourism regulators are evaluated. The complexity of guarantees in economic, commercial and financial operations and the lack of focus on the growth of insurance coverage to secure protection, business growth, industrial and agricultural development and others (Macroeconomic modeling and its impact on the development of the Iraqi insurance market and a review of reinsurance agreements, the leader of the Iraqi market in a manner consistent and achieving efficiency and economic ability) .

Also, the reasons for the structural nature of inflation in the Iraqi economy should be examined and dealing with inflation as one of the basic and main factors and indicators in the development and stability of the Iraqi economy: the reforms of the 1990s, low efficiency and high centralization of the economy, business mentality and the economy, and the weakness of the financial market. The growth of forms of corruption, the scattering and loss of financial resources and the weak growth of the equation of oil resources = economic development + development of non-oil resources + social welfare !!!

And exposure to realism, high transparency and a conscious diagnosis with high economic and commercial thought to the results of the anti-inflation policy, the role of regulators, monetary and budget officials, sectoral, unions, professional associations and pressure labor forces, the relationship between inflation targeting and economic growth, and the lack of efficiency of the economic mentality in understanding and modern economic reading and the ability to localize and calm inflation And modeled economically and statistically in a systematic way .

There are main axes that should be focused on (inflation of demand and attraction; inflation in rising costs and prices; targeting inflation; anti-inflation policy; economic growth, inflation and the growth of the size of the productive, industrial and agricultural base). And finding a sound new economic methodology in line with modern economic thought and the capabilities and capabilities of inputs, actors and dynamism of the ethnic economy .

Real inflation is partly inherited from the era of the previous regime, partly predetermined by the political and economic environment and the transition to a market economy. It was sustained as a result of the slack and inflation of the economic and financial system, the lack of targeting sound financial and economic adjustment, the large number of legislated laws and financial and economic decisions that are not consistent with the nature of financial and economic regulation according to the perspective of Modern economic thought .

We suggest that an expert economic team be formed in economic, financial and monetary policies and related risks and modern techniques in addressing economic inflation for the purpose of forming a new economic methodology according to a specific economic model to assess and evaluate inflation risks on the economic, commercial, development and service sectors and scenarios for building the necessary policies and adjusting and correcting the strategy methodology accordingly

Will al-Maliki explode the surprise by returning to head the government, taking advantage of his good relationship with President Biden?

7-5-2022   Intel Guru MarkZ   [via PDK]   The news is all over the place coming out of Iraq. Which is exactly what we saw in Kuwait and exactly what we saw in China during their last revaluation. This is exactly what we expected to start seeing.  Article:  “The Central Bank of Iraq: The exchange rate cannot be changed and this is the size of the gold and currency reserves”  They talk about how great things are over there and then they deny these rumors…They have to deny these rumors. This is their job. This is compartmentalized. They are doing their best to suck as much dinar off the streets as they can here at the end. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

Article:  "The Central Bank of Iraq: The exchange rate cannot be changed, and this is the size of the gold and currency reserves"  Another article talking about the Iraqi exchange rate.  This might not be anything other than the fact that they just keep reminding people that the exchange rate is not going to change.  But it is kind of hard not to remember what happened over there in Kuwait when they told everybody it would be years and then turn around and did the rate change the next day...

7-4-2022   Newshound/Intel Guru Walkingstick  [via Frank26]  As far as the budget maybe coming out in October, remember the rate is not waiting on the budget.  The budget is waiting on the rate...what is needed is a seated government for all of this to come together.

7-4-2022  Newshound Guru Samson   Article:  "Al-Kazemi: Failure to pass the budget leads to a delay of about 10 years in providing services in Iraq"   Quote:  "in 2020, we did not have a budget, and in the following year 2021 the budget was available, and now in 2022 there is no budget, so how can the government work and provide the best without Budget?"

7-4-2022   Newshound Guru Kaperoni  ...Guru Pimpy says Iraq is not going to replace the dinar...Not true, this is exactly what they're talking about ..issuing a new Iraqi dinar replacing the old.

7-4-2022   Newshound Guru Breitling   Question  "What does Iraq need to do to add value to their currency?"  ...They don't need to do anything...what specifically Iraq is going to have to do is sit there and watch the energy markets.  See who goes where.  Their markets can expand if they expand to China...but guess what Iraq wants to do?  They want China to trade in their own currency and so they have to have the currency up and going to be able to do that...It's hard to predict the day but everyone knows they're going to do it.

7-4-2022   Guru Nader From The Mid East  The budget I think they'll pass it by next month.  I don't know if the exchange rate it it's in or not.  I have no idea.

7-4-2022   Intel Guru MarkZ   [via PDK]    ...I am still hearing fantastic things and that we are on the cusp of it…. RV within days or up to at the most a couple of weeks. They are confident we are at the end and I think they are accurate based on what I am seeing around the world in financial markets…

7-4-2022   Newshound Guru Tivon  So in that sense a parliamentary session would be the time & place to issue a legal decision regarding the reduction in the USD price...apparently they can not (House of Representatives) distribute any funds because Hakim Al-Zamili even stated that he will take up everything with the relevant authorities once the EFSL is published in the Gazette.  Which is MIA... you should keep an eye out for the official publication. [Post 2 of 2]

7-4-2022   Newshound Guru Tivon   What did Al-Kazemi say to his cabinet? That he wanted at the earliest session to address the issue of reducing the USD rate against the IQD right? So why would we expect anything priorHe said this on June 23rd...We got a heads up on a potential timeline for a change in the rate. Between now and then I am looking for the Gazette announcement. [Post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

7-4-2022   Intel Guru MarkZ  [via PDK]  [When has an RV ever happened before?]  ...to everyone who says it doesn’t happen this way…Iraq has revalued their currency 3 times in the last 100 years. Also Germany and Japan RV’s after World War 2...I have also mentioned Kuwait... There are many countries who have revalued throughout history…

7-4-2022   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat  ...Let’s look at the steps of currency reform playing out: 1. They completed the banking reforms,  2. They hooked the banking and financial sector into the global financial sector (updating technology),  3. they conduct the reinstatement and the project to delete the zeros,  4. they can then limit the money supply, end the inflation and back most of their dinar with gold. Yes, gold backed and much more than is even required by the Basil requirements.  Oh – but the dinar is just 1/6 of a penny? Why they constantly bragging so muchAre they prepping the outside world to get invested in Iraq in the near future?
