The politician Amer Abdul-Jabbar Ismail said on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia is seeking to announce the formation of an "Arab NATO" that includes Iraq in its membership, during the visit of the President of the United States of America to Riyadh in mid-July.

Ismail asked, in a tweet to him on the social networking sites "Twitter", saying: Will the Arab NATO be announced when Biden visits Saudi Arabia in the middle of this month, given the presence of Iraq at this summit? And he will be a member of this alliance that Saudi Arabia is striving to lead ?

The Iraqi politician, who held several positions in the state, alluded to the conclusion of unnamed Iraqi "parties" with "under the table agreements with (the stakeholders) to be part of this NATO in exchange for their assistance and marketing regionally to show them the appearance of real leaders, and push for dismantling the current situation and ending the political blockage" in country.

Ismail also asked, "Will (the stakeholders) agree to what is required of them towards the groups that do not have the real decision?", adding, "We will see that soon."

Last Sunday, US President Joe Biden published an opinion article in the "Washington Post" in which he touched on several files, including his scheduled visit to Saudi Arabia next Friday, the Iranian nuclear file, in addition to the crises in Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Libya.

Biden believes that the "Middle East" he will visit is "more stable and secure than what his administration inherited 18 months ago," referring to the missile attack that the US embassy in Baghdad faced a month before his inauguration as US president.

He added that the "American combat mission" had been ended and the military presence had been shifted to focus on training Iraqis, while maintaining the missions of the coalition against ISIS.

Biden continued by saying that "the region is still full of challenges, including: Iran's nuclear program, the war in Syria, food security crises, the presence of terrorist groups in some countries, the political stalemate in Iraq, Libya and Lebanon, and human rights files." these issues.

A senior US official: Oil may reach $140 unless this proposal is imposed

link

A senior official at the US Treasury confirmed that the global price of oil may rise 40% to about $ 140 a barrel if a proposed ceiling for the price of Russian crude is not imposed, in addition to exemptions from sanctions that allow shipments at less than this price.

The official said that US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will discuss imposing the proposed price cap with Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki when they meet today.

The official stated that the goal is to set the price at a level that covers the cost of Russia's production, so that Moscow is incentivized to continue exporting oil, but not at prices high enough to allow it to finance its war against Ukraine, according to "Reuters".

The official pointed out that Japanese officials expressed concern about imposing a very low price ceiling, but they did not reject a possible price range between 40 and 60 dollars per barrel

To Confront The Global Price Fever, An Economist Clarifies The Most Important Ways To Be Taken

link

The economic expert, Safwan Qusay, explained the most important steps to be taken by the government to confront the rise in world prices, pointing out the importance of supporting lower grades and preparing an investment database to absorb the unemployed.

Qusay told Al-Maalouma, “The ration card file and its vocabulary must be reviewed to absorb the momentum and the increase in demand as a result of the rise in international prices and the damage to the fragile classes,” stressing the need to “expand the ration card circle in order to be supportive of those classes that are unable to resist the rise in prices.” .

He added that "the government should think about reconsidering the salaries of the lower groups by giving them lump-sum allowances approaching 150,000 dinars for the fifth degree or less, as these degrees fall within the poverty line as a result of changing global prices and their problems began to appear at the level of the Iraqi family."

And he indicated that "the 2023 budget should include granting cut-down allocations to the lower grades with the distribution of the circle of those covered by social care, and the preparation of an investment base that absorbs the unemployed and turns them into sustainable, not temporary, job opportunities."

A prominent US senator: We are working on a system that tracks the oligarchs in Iraq

link

prominent US Senator Lindsey Graham expressed his deep concern about corruption in Iraq despite the passage of nearly 19 years since the fall of the previous regime, and at the same time indicated that he would work with his colleagues to establish a system that tracks corruption in Iraq.

Iraq, which has one of the largest oil reserves in the world, ranks 169 out of 180 in the Corruption Index issued by Transparency International.

Despite the widespread protests organized by Iraqis in different cities over the past years, corruption continues to swallow the resources of the Iraqi government.

"My biggest concern is corruption," Graham said in an interview, noting that "the level of corruption in the entire region is unacceptable."

"We will not allow this to happen here (in Iraq)," he added.

The US senator was speaking during a recent visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan region, during which he met with senior officials in Erbil and Baghdad.

The spread of corruption in the Iraqi state institutions and mismanagement is the most prominent challenge facing Iraqis since the fall of the previous regime at the hands of US forces.

Graham said he would return to Washington to work with his colleagues "to create a system that tracks corruption in Iraq (similar to what Washington adopts toward) the Russian oligarchs."

The oligarchs are the businessmen of the former Soviet republics who made huge fortunes during the era of Russian privatization following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in the 1990s.

As the Russian attack on Ukraine unfolded, the West tightened sanctions on Russian banks and many individuals, often described by Western media as "Putin's friends."

"We need to implement the same system to track corruption in the region," Graham added.

"The days when they steal people's food must end," he added.

The US ambassador had attached Graham's interview to his Twitter account, and said that his visit to Baghdad and Erbil came to confirm the "US commitment to Iraq."

Erbil refuses to hand over the region's revenues to Baghdad: it has reached $3 billion

A member of the Natural Resources Committee in the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, Jihad Hassan, revealed on 07/12/2022 the fate of the region's revenues.

Hassan said in a statement followed by the obelisk that the government announced an increase in the region's revenue rate of 3 billion dollars, but these funds have many exchange doors.

He added that we have obligations and salaries for employees and retirees, as well as the existence of dues to oil companies, and debts to banks, businessmen and contractors, all of which are owed by the Kurdistan government, noting that during the financial crisis, the government was forced to borrow.

He pointed out that these financial returns cannot be handed over to the federal government, stressing the need to reach an agreement to deliver certain quantities of oil, in exchange for Baghdad fulfilling its full financial obligations towards the region.

The Central Bank calls for the establishment of a sovereign fund "after the financial abundance"

link

The Central Bank of Iraq called for the establishment of a sovereign fund, after the financial abundance, while it was considered that the currency auction is a channel to provide hard currency for the imports of foreign traders.

The Deputy Governor of the Bank, Ammar Khalaf, said in an interview with Shafak News Agency, "We call for the necessity of establishing a sovereign fund, especially to benefit from the financial abundance of the state."

He added that "the decision to establish such a fund remains affiliated with the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Finance in the first place," noting that "it is possible for the central bank to contribute to the management of this fund."

On the other hand, Khalaf considered that "the currency auction is a channel for providing foreign currency for traders to cover their imports of foreign goods, in addition to covering travelers' expenses through banks and exchange companies."

Iraq is one of the countries that benefited most from the rise in oil prices globally during the past months, and the reason is that most of Iraq's financial resources come from oil.

Iraq's oil revenues amounted to 11.4 billion dollars last May, and last June 11.5 billion dollars.

The coordination framework reveals to (Earth News): Within two days, the prime ministerial candidate will be decided

link

The coordination framework confirmed, today, Tuesday, the imminent nomination of the prime ministerial candidate by the framework forces.

The leader in the framework, Ali Al-Fatlawi, said, in an interview with Earth News, that "the coordination framework continues its meetings and contacts, and they have not been interrupted. There are almost daily meetings in order to resolve the file of forming the new Iraqi government, as soon as possible."

Al-Fatlawi added that "the coordinating framework is very close to naming a candidate for prime minister, and the announcement of this designation may be within the next two days."

He pointed out that "the nomination of the candidate will be unanimously adopted by all the forces and leaders of the framework, without any exception."

A political source had said earlier today, Tuesday, that the coordination framework will hold a meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, to discuss the selection of the prime minister, in addition to forming a government.

The framework rejects the conditions of Barzani's party: the laws of the Federal Court are the final decision

link

Representative of the Coordination Framework, Ali Turki, 12/07/2022, confirmed that the framework will not negotiate with the Kurdistan Democratic Party regarding the decisions of the Federal Court during the formation of the new government, while I consider the decisions of the judiciary to be final, binding and not subject to appeal or discussion.

Turki said in an interview followed by the obelisk, that the decisions of the Federal Court are final, binding and irrevocable, and it is not possible to negotiate with the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the oil and gas law approved by the Federation, pointing out that some important laws and decisions cannot be canceled or delayed.

He added that the coordination framework concerned with forming the government seeks to build a new health situation by negotiating with the rest of the political blocs on the basis of the nation's interest and not the interest of parties or personalities that have their suspicions.

He explained that the attempt to include the decisions of the judicial authority within the negotiations to form a government and to reduce the prestige of the Federal Court and its decisions will not have any space for the framework during its negotiations with any other bloc.

The leader in the state of law, Jassim al-Bayati, had ruled out, earlier, the acceptance of the coordinating framework conditions and extra-constitutional demands that the Kurdistan Democratic Party would present during the negotiation of forming the new government, while stressing that Masoud Barzani and others cannot impose conditions on others.

A deputy reveals the possibility of {the slimming of the government}

link

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Kougar, revealed today, Tuesday, the possibility of the upcoming “curvature of the government.”

Cougar told {Euphrates News}, that "there is a possibility to streamline the government after the withdrawal of blocs and parties from the political process," noting that "each licensing process has economic benefits, as every ministerial distribution has its financial costs, and thus littering will save many money."

He added: "In addition to the political aspects that contribute to creating a strong opposition and a strong government so that we can correct the path, it is also possible to combine a strong government and a strong popular opposition by preventing that these parties go to support the citizen by putting pressure on the government to correct.

Determine the criteria for slimming its booth..A design alliance comments on the withdrawal of some blocs from participating in the government

link

Tasmeem Alliance commented, today, Tuesday, on the withdrawal of some political blocs from participating in the new government, while defining its position on slimming the government booth and the criteria for that matter.

The deputy of the design alliance, Ali Mashkour, said in an interview with Earth News, “Liquidating the next government booth, although as a proposal, is still in the ideas of some of the brothers who form the government, it may be somewhat good in order to reduce the costs of the ministries, but there are ways for this slimming.”

Mashkour added, “We suggest that littering should be through merging some ministries with each other, which lead to the same purpose, and whose sorting process was in order to increase the ministerial cabinets for some parties and political entities.”

Mashkour indicated that “the reluctance of some political blocs from participating in the government is a matter that goes in two directions. The first is the fear that the formed government will fail for one reason or another, and the second is to change the public’s perception of the ministerial cabinets that were previously formed and did not prove any success.”

He continued, “Therefore, we find that it is a good proposal at the same time. This licensing must be accompanied by the selection of good elements far from the old scene of politics, and that this minister does not represent the party that is, but rather by choosing professional personalities who have practical experience in society and the Iraqi reality and are far from racist for this or that party.”

Mashkour pointed out that "this is what we see while we are with the slimming of the ministries, but on the condition that there is a real nomination for the ministries and not a political nomination for them, because we will go to the same point that the previous governments went to and led to their failure.

Cleric Jawad Al-Khalisi confirmed today, Tuesday, that US President Joe Biden's visit to the region is an attempt to establish a new Baghdad Pact to confront the aspirations of the nation's peoples and continue to dominate their capabilities.

Al-Khalisi said in a tweet followed by Earth News, "The American president comes tomorrow to the region to herald an imminent torment, which is what he is trying to distract himself with from America's torment itself and the crises of Europe that they created from the Ukraine war."

He added, “What he is trying to do with his bosses to establish an Arab NATO led by Israel to confront Iran, as they claim; It is a new Baghdad pact to confront the aspirations of the peoples of the nation and the continuation of domination over their capabilities within the plan of the old colonial project.”

Al-Khalisi stressed that "here, the movement of the peoples of the nation is necessary for the awareness of the scheme and the hard, united work to confront it and bring it down."

text translated:

The American president comes, apart from the evil region, with a near torment, which is what he is trying to occupy himself with from the torment of America itself and the crises of Europe that they created from the Ukraine war, and what he is trying to motivate his allies to establish an Arab NATO led by Israel to confront Iran, as they claim: It is a new Baghdad alliance to confront the aspirations

Who is Tom Tugendhat? Arabic-speaking army veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan

link

MP and Foreign Affairs Committee chairman has no ministerial experience but is offering a ‘fresh start’ if he becomes UK prime minister

you can read   this entire article if you'd like, I just wanted you to  see  this part

The big projects he worked on include helping with the distribution of $4.5-billion of the new Iraqi dinar in 2004 as part of postwar reconstruction efforts.

full article below here:

On a few occasions since becoming a public figure, Tom Tugendhat has posted video-selfies from the UK Parliament, wishing all his “Muslim friends” an Eid Mubarak in the fluid Arabic he learnt over years living in the Middle East.

This Eid Al Adha however, the Conservative leadership candidate kept his social media channels singularly focused on the credentials he believes make him fit to be the UK’s next prime minister.

“It’s time for renewal,” wrote the MP for Tonbridge and Malling when he launched his leadership bid last week. “I have served my country before. Now I hope to answer the call as prime minister.”

With more than a decade in the Territorial Army, the 49-year-old says being on the ground in the conflict zones of Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya give him a unique edge over the 10 others vying for the biggest post in British politics.

His bold media campaign is peppered with tales from the battlefield that are meant to make up for his lack of ministerial experience.

From being shot in the chin and chest — "but that hit the body armour so it was OK" — during a 10-hour firefight in Iraq, a shooting he told The Sunday Times "he hadn't noticed" because he "was focused on other things", to special missions building governments in Afghanistan, Mr Tugendhat says his frontline experience demonstrates that he "can have a vision, lead a team and deliver a plan".

On Monday, the Foreign Affairs Committee chairman said what he offers is not “from Whitehall, it’s from the real world”.

“It’s from Afghanistan and Iraq, where I served in the military, and it’s from around the world where I’ve worked in different ways,” the Tory MP told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.

“What I’m bringing here is the experience of wider diplomatic and military work but, of course, also the experience of actually having run organisations in some of the hardest places in the world.”

Mr Tugendhat’s distinguished, albeit slightly opaque, military career began in the Middle East with the Territorial Army, before moving to Afghanistan with the UK Foreign Office and ending in Westminster working for the then-chief of defence staff Lord David Richards.

The language of diplomacy

A practising Catholic, Mr Tugendhat first learnt Arabic in Yemen as part of his master's degree in Islamics at the University of Cambridge, after reading theology at Bristol University. After moving to Beirut to work as a journalist, and later a communications specialist, the London-born politician returned to the UK and joined the British Army.

French, Pashto, Dari and Russian — something he has picked up watching cartoons in the language with his children — are among the other tongues he speaks.

During the allied invasion of Iraq, his knowledge of Arabic — a language he has previously described as his “favourite one to argue in” — was called upon by the Royal Marines who drafted him as an intelligence corps officer on the ground.

The foreign affairs specialist has described working with “various branches of the military” and “alongside other government departments around the world” during his decade with the Territorial Army.

The big projects he worked on include helping with the distribution of $4.5-billion of the new Iraqi dinar in 2004 as part of postwar reconstruction efforts.

In 2005, he travelled to Afghanistan, where he spent four years working on similar post-war projects, including the setting up of the national security council after the Taliban was overthrown by Nato forces.

With only "Afghans and a couple of bodyguards”, he went to Helmand, a province overrun for decades by warlords and drug dealers, to help establish a civilian government.

The veteran has been critical of the government’s response in Afghanistan, describing last summer’s withdrawal as “heart-breaking”. At the time, he received a round of applause for an emotional speech in the House of Commons, in which he described struggling through “anger, grief and rage” at the unfolding events.

Clash with Boris Johnson's approach

Mr Tugendhat called it a “betrayal” and a “let down” for the Afghan and British people, fuelling a dislike of Mr Johnson’s policies and approach over which the two politicians have clashed at select committee hearings.

Pitting himself as a “fresh start”, Mr Tugendhat’s antipathy towards the prime minister may mean he loses out on votes from any of Mr Johnson’s remaining loyalists.

When it comes to tax, however, the centrist Conservative is in line with almost all of the others running to be the next leader.

Mr Tugendhat’s economic policy would, he says, include reversing the rise in National Insurance and lowering "taxes across every aspect of society” but he would not consider cutting corporation tax without “a 10-year economic plan”.

“You can’t simply look at each of these taxes as a one-off, you need to look at it as part of a whole,” he said in an interview with Sky News on Monday. "The reality is this economy needs not only lower taxes for growth, but it also needs sound money, and that is why we need to deliver both."

Improving Britain’s foreign relations, particular with the European Union after Brexit, is high on the Conservative candidate’s campaigning agenda.

With a French-Russian wife and European heritage of his own, the former Remainer has said the presence of both Brexit party and Leave politicians on his team should be reassuring for Brexiteers.

He told reporters he wants a “clean start” to “these six-year-old arguments we have been having” and that Britain should “take advantage” of Brexit and tear up EU regulations to conduct new trade deals.

“Boris has quite rightly got Brexit done," he said. "What we now need to do is deliver the benefits.”

US Ambassador: I carry a mandate to support Iraq's water management and promote its self-sufficiency

link

The US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, announced that she has a mandate to continue supporting the management of water resources in Iraq and to enhance its self-sufficiency, while reporting statistics on the amount of water consumed by the Iraqi individual.

“Here in Mesopotamia, ensuring Iraq’s water supply is a strategic interest that the United States shares with the Iraqis,” Romanowski said in an editorial received by Tigris. “My arrival last month coincided with the start of another long, hot and dry summer. At the outset of my meetings with Iraqi officials, I was struck by their concerns about the water scarcity crisis and the effects of drought on the country. As with other countries around the world, water security plays a critical role in ensuring Iraq's peace and prosperity. However, many Iraqis face increasing challenges in obtaining Clean water necessary for daily life.

She added, "Iraq is dependent on its upstream neighbors, all of whom face their own water challenges. Long-term forecasts are that Iraq will receive minimal additional rainfall over the next six months. However, this situation could present an opportunity for Iraq." To accomplish so much alone, and even more so with the United States' commitment to working alongside Iraq as a supportive partner."

She continued, “I have come here carrying with me a mandate to continue to support Iraq’s water resources management and enhance its self-sufficiency. The United States has long supported Iraq’s Ministry of Water Resources, which received less than one percent of the government’s 2021 budget. Our investment of (124) million has helped In 2016, as part of an initiative to develop the Ministry’s technical expertise on protecting basic infrastructure, we dispatched (24) engineers from the Ministry’s cadres to the United States, to prevent the collapse of the dam and preserve the safety of thousands of Iraqis. They studied dam safety and visited operating dams in Colorado, Arizona and Nevada."

Romanowski emphasized that "the United States wants to help the Iraqi people secure access to the water resources they need in daily life, agriculture, and industry. The average Iraqi per capita consumption of water is 392 liters - nearly twice the world average - and (90) are used." percent of Iraq's water resources are for agriculture. We can help Iraq improve water use efficiency by eliminating wasteful practices. For example, leakage in infrastructure and open water channels leads to the loss of (10) billion cubic meters of water due to evaporation every year, a number that matches the projected annual water deficit for Iraq by 2035.

She stated that "reducing the share of water used in agriculture through the use of modern and efficient irrigation techniques and investment in water infrastructure is essential for the future of water in Iraq. In July, 25 government engineers who specialize in water and agriculture will travel to the western United States." To visit an area facing a similar challenge due to water scarcity, where they will be able to collaborate with our experts and learn firsthand about irrigation efficiency, water conservation and salinity control.

She added, "The US Geological Survey continues to train Iraqi engineers on how to calculate water accumulation and consumption in the Tigris and Euphrates basin through various data sources. These efforts will help ensure that Iraq has actionable and scientifically sound data when it comes to the negotiating table with its neighbors."

She also said: "The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has allocated more than (150) million dollars to projects that have led to the advancement of water services and management throughout Iraq, and thus more than (10) million Iraqis from vulnerable groups have been able to obtain Drinking water USAID repaired water pipes and improved the operation of (140) water treatment facilities in the governorates of Babil, Baghdad, Najaf, Sirwan District, and other places. The Agency also rehabilitated water treatment plants in Basra for the purpose of improving efficiency and providing drinking water to Iraqis who live Rural areas".

The US ambassador indicated that "at the strategic level, the US Agency for International Development provided software and hardware to help the Ministry of Water Resources produce complex models on water use in order to improve its management. The US Agency for International Development also supports the "Iraq Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development" by improving special plans with water resources to better manage future crises. In collaboration with the US Army Corps of Engineers, USAID will also help guide strategic investment in Iraq's water infrastructure through a data-driven whole-of-government perspective. All of this will ensure greater resilience to the effects of climate change."

She explained, "Our initiatives aim to strengthen the initiatives of the Iraqi government, but they cannot replace them. With high oil prices that provide trillions of dinars in reserves, Iraq's new leaders will be able to assume their positions as responsible for important resources on behalf of all Iraqis and build a strong and resilient Iraq that meets the basic needs of all Iraqis.

Romanowski concluded her article by saying, “The United States is proud of its partnership with the Iraqi government on priorities that help improve the lives of the general Iraqi people, and the issue of water is an essential area of cooperation. Working together to improve water management in Iraq will also help mitigate the effects of the climate crisis. The United States has expertise in both our government and the private sector and we pledge to help Iraq move forward in providing sustainable and accessible water to all Iraqis.”

Safwan said in a statement to (Baghdad Today), "The reason for the decline in the value of the euro is as a result of Russia's cutting off oil and gas supplies from the European Union and the disruption of growth rates in the union, which led to making ".the dollar a safe haven to convert the euro into dollars at this stage

The coordinating framework revealed its candidate, which it will present in the coming hours for the position of prime minister of the new government.

Member of the framework, Ali Al-Fatlawi, said in a press interview, "The coordinating framework will announce today or tomorrow its candidate, who has met the criteria set by the coordinating framework forces during the last period to occupy the position of prime minister of the next government."

He added, "The most prominent candidate and the closest to this position is the former Minister of Labor and the head of the Euphrates Movement, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani," noting that "the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, is excluded from the nomination because he is controversial and does not comply with the criteria set by the coordination framework."

It is noteworthy that the current MP, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, had previously held the position of Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, as a candidate for the State of Law coalition, and he is close to al-Maliki's coalition.

Can gold replace the dollar?

link

%D8%B0%D9%87%D8%A8.jpg

International investor Jim Rogers ruled out the possibility of gold and silver being able to replace the dollar as a "safe haven" for investors and said that this could be achieved when the situation in the global economy becomes very difficult.

According to the veteran investor, high volatility in global markets may lead to a strong decline in the value of both metals, gold and silver, and he said: “I think I will find the right moment for new purchases and if prices are at the current levels, I will buy silver because it is cheaper.”

He also indicated, during his interview with “Novosti” agency, that the ban imposed on gold imports from Russia in a number of countries cannot be effective.

He pointed out that commodities such as gold, grains and oil are always in demand, although there are restrictions. "For oil, grains or gold, you may not know where (the source) is," he said. But there will be a buyer willing to buy it at an attractive price.”

On the global oil market, Rogers also believes that the desire of Western countries to put a ceiling on the price of Russian oil is unattainable.

Jim Rogers is considered one of the most famous financiers and investors in the world. Several years ago he began investing in the Russian market. In particular, he acquired a large stake in the Russian fertilizer production company "Vos Agro" and joined the company's board of directors.

7-12-2022   Newshound Guru MilitiaMan   Article:  "The Central Bank: There is no future plan that includes changing the exchange rate"  The deputy governor has stated what appears to be this same propaganda on more than one instance this month.   Firstly, he is not the CBI Governor... Secondly, there is by far way to many good things going on to not change the exchange rate...they have every intention to bring purchase power to the citizens...I believe this...is smoke...The indicators are large that are still on track to make an exchange rate change. Kahdimi has said it himself...

7-11-2022   Intel Guru Frank26  The CBI and Kazemi are both in control of the exchange rate and that's why they CBI is preparing to float the currency and that's why they are meeting with so many entities...

7-11-2022  Newshound Guru Samson  Article:   "Iraq maintains its position in the ranking of the highest countries in gold reserves"  Quote: "this month, Iraq maintained its 40th global position out of the 100 countries listed in the table with the largest gold reserves, reaching 96.4 tons of gold, which represents 8.8% of the rest of its other reserves"

7-11-2022   Newshound Guru Pimpy   There's no 'redemption centers'. You have exchange centers if you go to international airports...a lot of times they have where you can go in and buy and sell foreign currency there.  You can exchange it.  There are some malls out there that actually have a currency exchange store there.  But there's no magical redemption centers.  There's no 800 numbers.  The only 800 number that you should be calling is an actually exchange if you have any questions.  Or to an actual bank.

7-11-2022   Intel Guru MarkZ   [via PDK]   I think this is going to be a very interesting week.  I am still hearing very positive news out of Iraq about the impending rate…That they are moving forward with white papers and reforms…they have not given me a timeline. I am waiting for an update.

7-11-2022   Newshound Guru Tivon  You heard this from Ahmed Tabaqchali, Chief Strategist of AFC Iraq Fund. You heard this from Al-Zamili. You heard it from Mazhar M. Saleh. You heard him state that the EFSL will "Move The Wheel of The Economy".   Al-Kazemi didn't go through all the trouble of getting the EFSL passed, voted, and published in the Gazette. Then turn around to say to the citizens that do to this or that you guys will have to wait for the budget to get purchasing power...Al-Kazemi is spelling it out... [Post 2 of 2]

7-11-2022   Newshound Guru Tivon   Read what Al-Kazemi has stated out of his own mouth. This guy is a chess player. You want to know why he is calling on all political forces to put their energy behind the EFSLBecause he knows they really do not have a choice at this stage to entertain a general budget for this year. The EFSL is basically a supplementary budget and can act as such.  [Post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

7-11-2022   Newshound Guru Sandy Ingram   Article:  "Iraq's central bank sees no reason to change the exchange rate of the dinar currency"  ...and has no further plan to do so in the next three to five years, state news agency INA reported on Sunday... citing the deputy governor of the central bank Ammar Khalaf...

7-11-2022   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   If you are reading all the news articles from Iraq these days about the election, it will drive you crazy. There are obviously many who support bringing back all the corruption and nonsense of Nori al-Maliki days. Unbelievable! Trust me on this one – Maliki will NEVER see the prime minister again!...
