IRAQ: Urgent Iranian mediation to heal rift among PMU leaders
Saturday 24, 2019 01:00
Baghdad - Dr. Hamid Abdullah:
Tehran has urgently summoned the head of the Popular Mobilization Commission Faleh al-Fayyad and the head of the office of Prime Minister Abu Mujahid al-Hashemi in an effort described as "to bridge the gap between the deputy head of the crowd and Iran's powerful man in Iraq, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, and the head of the body Faleh al-Fayyad.
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A private plane took Fayyad and al-Hashemi to Tehran on Tuesday, prompting Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, whose relationship with the Hashd appeared more moral than a Supreme Commander of the armed forces with factions linked to those forces and ordering their orders, security and political sources in Baghdad said.
The sources pointed out that Fayyad, in coordination with Abdul Mahdi, acquitted the Popular Mobilization of statements attributed to the engineer accused the United States explicitly targeting the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization.
Fayyad, who serves as national security adviser, wanted to keep Abdul Mahdi's government from any repercussions of statements by faction leaders linked to Iran, and to show the prime minister as an ally of Washington and a friend of Tehran at the same time!
Based on the engineer's anti-Washington remarks, warnings were issued in Baghdad that the US embassy would be targeted by armed factions linked to Iran.
"The accusation of the United States of bombing the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization was urgent and is not based on facts or evidence," Kamel al-Ghurery, secretary general of the Iraqi Party, said.
He warned of a plan to target the US embassy by armed factions, noting that exposure to the US embassy will have catastrophic consequences for the Iraqi government.
His remarks followed statements by a deputy close to the leaders of the Shiite factions that included an explicit threat to target the US embassy.
Hassan Salem, a member of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq (Sadeghon) bloc, said the US embassy had an Israeli security cell planning to hit the Hashd headquarters by drones.
The deputy close to Iran hinted that the hypothesis of exposure to the US embassy is not excluded, prompting the three presidencies (Republic, ministers and parliament) to convene an emergency meeting to discuss the appropriate position on exposure to the crowd camps by a still unknown to the Iraqi government and its security services.

US aggression on the "crowd": Iraq towards confrontation?

Tel Aviv continues to hint at being behind the targeting of Hashd headquarters (AFP)
Tel Aviv continues to hint that it is responsible for targeting the four headquarters of the Popular Mobilization, and Washington's refusal to take responsibility, in return for Tehran's standing with the Iraqi government while recommending threats to its allies to the United States and its military deployment in Iraq. Rafidain », the impact of the US-Iranian clash. So far, it seems, there is a division of roles that governs official performance against recent developments. It is noteworthy that Baghdad has sent signals that it will reap the fruit of the latest clash by seeking to develop its defense capabilities, which in practice means the possibility of breaking the collar of the US 'goods'.
The US-Iranian clash in the region is pushing the Iraqi scene into more complexity, and the systematic targeting of Hashd headquarters since last July is a translation. The tools this time are not traditional, and facing them will not be. There are those who say that the government headed by Adel Abdul-Mahdi is in a state of confusion, while others argue that the contradiction of the government discourse is intentional and coordinated between the government and the Hashd leadership on the basis of bilateral diplomacy and the field. According to this latest opinion, there is an exchange of roles in coordination with the decision-making circles in Tehran, which would unravel the mystery of the "data war" between the head of the Hashd, Faleh al-Fayyad, and his deputy, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes.
The first called in a diplomatic statement to abide by the Prime Minister's decision, while the second blamed the United States for what happened and is happening, but both men acknowledged that the four incidents were not accidental, and they also agreed on the mechanism to address them, which means that the difference is only in accusing Washington or not. Thus, the engineer's statement would have "embarrassed" the government, so the latter preferred to "ignore" those responsible for the targeting. This position is understood by the decision-making circles in Tehran, and even behind Baghdad in any decision it takes, according to informed sources who spoke to the "news", but at the same time will not hesitate, through its allies, to send strong messages to Washington.
The meeting of the three presidencies the day before yesterday called for «investigation and study of all data and information on what was exposed to these stores», stressing «taking into account the sovereignty, security and independence of Iraq, and reject the policy of axes and settling accounts», and «distancing the country from being a springboard to attack any Neighboring countries and the region, or even a proxy war, "refusing to" try any regional or international party dragged Iraq into war and conflicts. " A cool official speech quickly recorded a shift yesterday with the announcement of Abdul Mahdi, following the meeting of the National Security Council, to continue to implement the resolution on linking the flight of all types of aviation in Iraqi airspace with his consent exclusively or authorized him, and the Ministry of Defense to draw up appropriate plans and procedures to arm the leadership Air defense, commensurate with the current and future situation. Abdul Mahdi's approach is to meet the current challenge of developing Iraqi capabilities, ultimately in harmony with the equation drawn by the engineer, at a time when talks are reportedly underway to equip the Hashd with an effective air-quality weapon. The question arises: Will Washington accept to arm Iraqi forces? Those in the Iraqi military are certain that the United States will prevent this. They are convinced that Americans are supplying / selling an apparently sophisticated weapon, but hollow from within, as well as breaching ammunition and maintenance contracts. The Americans, according to the sources, "are selling us scrap ... something that will push us to go to Russia and China, and discuss this with them."
While Iraqi political forces are divided in describing what has happened, the apparent US-Israeli engagement with the situation also looks similar. Washington publicly refuses to take responsibility for the strikes, while Tel Aviv continues to hint that it is behind them. In reality, however, Israel can carry out such strikes in an "American court" only in coordination with the United States at a minimum, if not at its request. If that scenario is true, it is clear that the Americans are resorting to it very cautiously, as they say, according to Iraqi sources «do not want to escape the arena, and are keen to control it, because they are the most affected», adding that «20,000 US troops under the range of factions missiles, and this is something "It is very worrying for the Americans. That estimate is supported by yesterday's reported resentment of a "senior Israeli official attributed to Israel" attributed to Iraq, and described Tel Aviv's actions as "cross-border ... and may result in the withdrawal of the US military from the country."
Two scenarios are on the table
So there are two possible scenarios in Iraq today: confrontation or deal. Regarding the former, a banner appeared yesterday remarks by former Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, who saw that "the stabilization of Israel's role in targeting the sovereignty of Iraq exposes him to danger and confusion of papers," stressing that "Iraq will respond by force if proven involvement in the bombings," adding that This will make Iraq a battleground involving more than one country, including Iran. Maliki's diagnosis coincided with the issuance of the religious authority, Kazem al-Haeri, a fatwa prohibiting "the maintenance of any US military force and the like, and under any title," calling on the armed forces to continue "legitimate and legitimate defense of the egg of Islam, and the sanctities and dignity of the country ... The only option "It is resistance and defense."
This fatwa, binding on its "imitators" as a reference to a number of resistance factions, leads to the question of the position of the "supreme religious authority" (Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani), which has not yet commented on what has happened, amid speculation that it will support the state's choice and decision. While the «news» information that after the statement of the engineer, and statements by the Secretary-General of the «Movement of Asaib Ahl al-Haq» Qais al-Hazali and «battalions of Hezbollah», there are serious preparations by the resistance factions to engage in any confrontation may be imposed on them in the next stage. But the drums of the confrontation still ring the tunes of another serious talk (and here is the second scenario) of a possible negotiation between the Americans and the Iranians, according to sources working in the office of Abdul-Mahdi, and what is currently going on “is nothing but biting fingers… and a test of their patience”. The context of security operations would either push into confrontation, or open a settlement.

Iraq The Hashd targets a drone
Friday 23 August 2019
Hours after the PMF's positions (president and deputy) and its assertion that the targeting of its four headquarters was "not accidental," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to publicly suggest that he does not give "immunity to Iran anywhere.
Despite the refusal of the head of the Commission, Faleh Fayyad, to hold anyone responsible for what happened, and accusing his deputy Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, the United States and Israel to do so, it was remarkable denial of the Pentagon spokesman, Sean Robertson, any relationship to Washington's explosions in the warehouses and ammunition stores Al-Hashd, which is near the Balad air base in Salah al-Din province, north of Baghdad, a few days ago.
The “confusion” that has emerged in the “crowd” position reflects the extent to which the federal government has “lost” its attitude. "Accusation" rejected by those close to Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who has previously canceled all approvals for aviation in Iraqi airspace (reconnaissance, armed reconnaissance, fighter planes, helicopters, drones of all kinds) to all Iraqi and non-Iraqi parties, Only approvals by him or his duly authorized persons shall be deemed to be considered, with regard to any other air traffic being hostile and shall be dealt with immediately by the air defenses. With this decision, according to those close to the Prime Minister, the latter was keen to find a "way out" of the crisis in a way that does not anger anyone as the statement of the engineer, which caused great concern to the Americans.

The Hezbollah Brigades blamed Washington for targeting military positions
Although the "severity" of positions varies, their content is "one", according to the same sources. The engineer, while holding Washington responsible for what is happening, but his "equation" was "to consider any foreign aircraft flying over our headquarters without the knowledge of the government, hostile aviation," and to indicate that dealing with it would be in this sense, ie, "use all methods of deterrence to prevent attack on our headquarters." ». An approach reluctantly accepted by the latter's sources, as a "commitment" to the directives of the commander-in-chief, and to prevent a repeat of the "scandal" of data the day before yesterday, which saw "settling accounts" between the two men.
Yesterday, the first "deterrence equations" were translated. «Hashd» announces the targeting of reconnaissance aircraft flying over the headquarters of «Brigade 12» in the Baghdad belt. The brigade's air defenses were not able to overthrow them, nor were they able to determine their exact type. Field sources, confirmed to Al-Akhbar that the unknown plane is a pilot, flew several times over the headquarters of the brigade, and after opening fire on it was forced to withdraw. It is noteworthy that the «Brigade 12» is the brigade «Movement of the Negev», one of the Iraqi resistance factions, which leads to the question of the reason for the flight of similar aircraft over the headquarters of brigades calculated on the resistance factions. The 40th Brigade, which was recently targeted at Balad Air Force Base, belongs to the Imam Ali Brigades, led by Shibl al-Zaidi, listed on US sanctions regulations. The Falcon Camp, which targeted the first day of Eid al-Adha, contains a brigade of the Brigades of Sayyid al-Shuhada, led by Abu Walaa al-Wali, one of the prominent figures in the resistance factions. The Abu Muntadhar al-Mohammadawi camp in Diyala, which was targeted late last month, is a follower of the Badr Organization led by Hadi al-Amiri.
These targeted brigades of specific affiliation and political position would acknowledge the answer that an American movement, some of which are Israeli, targets the structure of the Iraqi resistance and its factions, specifically those who are considered allies of Tehran. », Which blamed the United States for the targeting of Iraqi military sites. The statement stressed that «any new targeting of any Iraqi site will be the result of a harsh and decisive response». He went on to address the Americans by saying that "the forts will not protect you, they are all within the range of our missiles ... If the confrontation begins, it will not end unless you get out of the region once and for all."
Between the conflicting «sharpness» statements, and the confirmation of some parties to translate the «say» Iraqi actions, the question remains how serious «crowd», and behind the political establishment, in creating a deterrent to these violations.

8-23-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat Article: "THE COMPLETION OF THE ELECTRONIC WINDOW PROJECT FOR THE IMPORT AND EXPORT TRADE" Why is this article so important? ...It is important because in order to pull this off they will need to get rid of the currency auctions and rely on dinar to pay for trade. Thus, if they do they will need to be tied in to the FOREX markets to determine the current currency rate of the dinar while trading. ...This is the platform to be used. This is exciting news and is all VERY GOOD for us. So much good news this week in progress of getting us the reinstatement of the dinar.
8-23-2019 Newshound Guru Vital Brad ...Al Sumeria TV they're talking about the fils, the coins, which is a very good sign. There's actually been a few articles talking about the coins...but what I can say is that news like this coming out is some of the best news that I've heard since I've been in this thing. Coming out with coins? That's amazing. Raising the rate of the the dinar against a dollar? Wow. They're reporting this? They're writing this? All these articles with the coins...it's an exciting time...

8-23-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Dinar Investor - Jeff I will only have about 3 more big news. 1: Kurdistan - Baghdad Reach Agreement 2: Form the government. 3: rate change.
8-23-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat So what should we expect to see next? We are looking for news that parliament has passed the needed legislation and then sent it to the CBI for the coinage reform proposal by the Finance Committee. Then very soon the CBI should “formally” announce the new CBI director. Allaq is due to leave in early September and his replacement will then take center stage. I believe that possibly the timing of the coinage may happen about this timeframe. We also look for more news of the “project to delete the zeros” going forward once again. We also look forward to news articles to educate the citizens on the new coins for smaller categories and the update on the CBI site for the new coins...
8-22-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat Article: "FORMATION OF A COMMITTEE TO RAISE THE PRICE OF THE IRAQI DINAR AGAINST THE US DOLLAR" ...we know that if they issue the coins of much smaller categories, they will need to significantly raise the exchange rate of the dinar (the value is already present at 1:1). But when will they “reinstate’ the dinar back to the global currency exchanges? This is what we really want to see happen and is when we go to the bank and not a moment before...
