BAGHDAD - (News agencies): Iraqi demonstrators yesterday threatened to escalate protests in the event of the insistence of forces, parties and parliamentary blocs to pass the candidate Qusay al-Suhail to form the new Iraqi government.

The demonstrators stressed in statements that the authority of the parties insists on disregarding the demands of the demonstrators, and that the nomination of Qusay al-Suhail is popularly rejected and they will have a decisive word through millions of peaceful marches in an expression of their rejection of any candidate outside the demands of the demonstrators.
On the other hand, the Iraqi Forces Alliance announced on Monday that it had withdrawn the nomination of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Qusay Al-Suhail to head the government, and informed his partners of that. The "Iraqi Forces" called on the Building Alliance to nominate another figure for the Iraqi prime minister. As the Alsumaria News website published a document, which it said was a book signed by some leaders of the Iraqi Forces Alliance, in which they affirmed their lack of support for Qusay al-Suhail's candidacy. The book stressed that Al-Suhail is not agreed upon by the majority of society’s powers.
It should be noted that the Al-Arabiya-Hadath correspondent reported that calls for mass demonstrations were launched against the candidacy of Al-Suhail to head the government in Iraq, as the protesters stepped up from their protests in southern Iraq, yesterday, Monday, to include oilfields and companies, as well as cutting the road towards Umm Qasr Port and Al-Khor Port, This was a refusal by them to nominate the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Qusay Al-Suhail, who confirmed on Sunday evening that he would send a book of his candidacy for the head of government to the presidency of the Republic.
The demonstrators emphasized that roads and bridges were closed, tires were burned, insubordination was declared, and the general strike was always in schools, universities and government departments, and took to the street extensively to compel the parties to withdraw their candidate and designate an alternative acceptable to the public.
Since yesterday morning, Iraq has practically entered into the constitutional vacuum after the end of the constitutional deadline for Iraqi President Barham Saleh to form a government within 15 days of accepting the resignation of Adel Abdul Mahdi’s government. Last night, there was a great controversy over the appointment of Qusay al-Suhail to the post of prime minister, which the Iraqi president rejects, according to Iraqi media. Shiite leader Muqtada al-Sadr, Ammar al-Hakim and former prime minister Haider al-Abadi support the presentation of an independent candidate to form the new government.
It is expected that the Iraqi parliament will hold a regular session to complete the approval of the provisions of the new election law, after having ratified in the previous session 14 items out of 50, which are the total provisions of the new law.

Iraq is looking for a head of government and it is getting more difficult
Demonstrations in Iraqi streets - archive
December 25, 2019 12:04 PM
Mubasher- Mr. Jamal: The crisis of choosing the prime minister continues to cast a shadow on the Iraqi street between leaders, politicians and citizens, especially since the demonstrators reject a new prime minister who belongs to any of the parties, which made the matter more difficult and put the President of the Republic Barham Saleh in a dilemma, which prompted him to wave the resignation of His position if he is pressed to choose a candidate who will succeed the resigned Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi.
After the parliament headed by Mohamed Al-Haloubsi agreed to the resignation of Adel Abdul-Mahdi, who faced popular pressure to resign, our right to bloodshed, Parliament had to choose a prime minister within 15 days, the constitutional period was over and there was nothing new except that President Saleh directed the ball to the Parliament’s stadium again by choosing the largest bloc in Parliament According to the constitution, they present a candidate for prime minister.
President Barham Salih addressed the Federal Court to determine the meaning of the largest bloc.
The construction coalition, "the largest bloc", was chosen on the basis of documents proving that it holds the majority registered in the House of Representatives, according to statements by the spokesman for the Fatah Alliance, which is affiliated with the building alliance Ahmed Al-Asadi.
The construction coalition chose the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology in the resigned government, Qusay Al-Suhail, to be the coalition’s candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi government, but Al-Suhail refused to take over the government’s office, formally apologizing to the coalition for this assignment, calling for the selection of another candidate, according to a document by the Minister of Education in Iraq published by the media. Local media.
Between street pressure and demands to choose the prime minister from the Iraqi people, and not from the largest bloc, Iraq is going through one of its most difficult political stages, and speculation that the construction alliance will nominate a new candidate remains, or will a new candidate come out of the public that satisfies the aspirations of the people.

Three events rocked Iraq
December 25, 2019
Dr.. Fateh Abdul Salam
Three major and articulated events that marked the history of Iraq in sixteen years. No one can write history The country is in the twenty-first century, except to stop there, investigation and meditation.
The first great event is the American occupation of Iraq in 2003, in a precedent that no country in the world faced Since World War II, when Nazi Adolf Hitler folded the country after another, it was under tank escorts His armies.
The second great event is the fall of a third of Iraq in the hands of ISIS, especially the group’s occupation of Mosul 2014 for three years, and the countless sacrifices that followed Humans and stone and the consequences are still continuing and devastating.
The third major and qualitative event is the Iraqi uprising that springs from the heart of Baghdad and spreads across the south of the country Under practical and spontaneous slogans, they undermine all the positions of the political authorities that have ruled Iraq for a decade and a half From a time full of surgeries, pain, deterioration, injustice, corruption and backwardness.
And the reason for the greatness of this event is not because it forces a prime minister to resign and contributes to changing the compass Another choice is from the depth of the political process, but the fact that it revealed a high level of authentic Iraqi patriotism Confident, patriotic, will ensure that a new path for Iraq toward a future can be invented for the corrupt people and the killers. The
After all that, politicians who are born, brought up and raised in anxious external incubators come and then move to incubator. Premature birth control In the Green Zone for many years, and today they want very easily to trample with their feet on the will of the Iraqi people, He had equal death and life in a country where hope was lost.
This is an uncontrolled path towards a new Iraq that millions sought sixteen years ago and has not been fulfilled There is something of it, and the time has come for the truth to appear, despite the fact that the price is expensive, and perhaps it will be in The coming months are much more expensive.

12-24-2012 Newshound Guru Jeff ...happy Christmas Eve...there are only two things I'm looking for to make sure we're on track for timing...still dialed in on Q1...I want to see them put a non-Iranian PM in place...remember towards the end of last week President Saleh went to Washington to get guidance from the Trump administration. So I want to see them put a non-Iranian P.M. And then I want to see them start the 2020 budget...as far as I'm concerned those are the only two things I'm worried about right now to know that we're on track...we have to see how it plays out...

IMO they told us they want to use 1 American dollar to 1 Iraqi dinar. That's wonderful. That's a good start...IMO 1 to 1 is not going to cover 160 Trillion 2020 budget...
12-24-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan 11) [Guru] Delta posted articles from the past defining the process and when the process is likely to play out. A rate change is only once a year and around the end or first part of the fiscal year. ...So the rumor that this could go out to March, per the CBI is unfounded...I am fairly confident there is nothing supporting there is anything from the CBI stating they are going to postpone or delay this process. ...Personally, we are in one heck of a window, imo! 12-24-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan 9) The CBI has a board of directors for Monetary Policy produce a video that orders the CBI to finish monetary reforms and they accepted those orders. A very BIG clue they are going to increase the exchange rate. In fact, the translation per [Guru] Delta talks of coins.. That is another massive supporting piece of evidence from the horses mouth. 10) From my understanding there may have been recent contact directly from Dr. Shabibi over the prior couple weeks. If true, then another slice is on the plate. [post 4 of 5....stay tuned]
12-24-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan 5) ISX is said to be shutting down and purportedly to be international and opening with NASDAQ 01/02/2019... ISX has rules on value of shares when opening. Sub penny stocks to make muster. If true, it is another supporting slice of pie. 6) The Iraq Trade Bank in Saudi Arabia is and or has been on record of suggesting they'll open now early next year. Per [Guru] Delta that is a recent change. imo. 7) The Citizens are not shutting down from their demands and they mean business too. 8) USA showed up and is helping in that regard. 12-23-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan 3) The CBI shows large out put of money allocations over this last year of about 6-7 million a month for currency printing. As of 3-60 days ago the CBI shows a very large increase in allocations as much as 3-4x as much per month over a two month period. The take away there is minting coins is more expensive than paper printing. This too supports a rate change is to come. imo A strong one too. imo. 4) There was a recent Debt payment of $20 billion that was paid. Thus, a clue as to how high a rate change could be supported. Less debt = more value, imo.. A supporting piece of the puzzle as well. [post 2 of 5....stay tuned]
