TNT Update Tuesday May 16th, 2017

Iraqi TV was reporting "final victory in Mosul in a couple of days" on Monday evening.

The Najar district is being stormed today. The territory map is currently showing all green with the exception of the old Mosul city district. This is the area of the mosque location that PM Abadi will plant the flag. This mosque is the former Isis stronghold headquarters site.

Isis control is contained in a 12 km square area.  Total victory is expected soon.... very soon. smile
Consumer goods and service continue to gradually decrease, the citizens are realizing a slight increase in purchasing power with promises of further increases in the coming days. (Now, what does that mean to you/us?)

Zimbabwe: Gold Reserves to Anchor Local Currency

link

Chinhoyi — Government is working on a plan to establish a gold reserve set to anchor the introduction of a local currency when the right time comes for the return to the Zimdollar, it has been learnt.
This comes at a time when the country is grappling with cash shortages and economists believe the issuance of a gold backed local currency would help stimulate economic activity.
Modelled around the $200 million Afreximbank facility, which is backing the current bond notes in circulation, economists believe the local currency will ease liquidity challenges and stimulate aggregate demand.

Plans to create a gold reserve involve investing in the efficient operations of Government's gold mining firms, including Sabi, Elvington and Jena gold mines.
Sabi Gold Mine resumed operations recently with targets to produce about 25kg of gold per month after a five-year hiatus caused by working capital constraints.
Mines and Mining Development Minister Walter Chidhakwa said the gold reserve would complement the Sovereign Wealth Fund, where a set of minerals would be reserved for future generations.
The legal processes that will give effect to the fund are still before Parliament.
"Naturally, in order to support the future introduction of our own currency, you want to have mineral resources that you hold in reserve," said Cde
"We have discussed this matter with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and what we are doing now, because most of the gold that is currently held is in private hands, we need to get our own companies operating."
Government has full or part control of Sabi, Jena and Elvington gold mines, which have not been operating in recent years due to lack of capital.

Effort has been expended to resuscitate the companies, which are at varying levels of fruition.
Once all the companies owned by Government start operating, Minister Chidhakwa said they would be required to set aside part of their gold output to be kept as reserve by the RBZ.
He said Jena Gold Mine would soon take delivery of mining equipment to bolster its resuscitation, while other options were being looked at to bring on stream Elvington Mine in Chegutu.
This follows delivery of $7 million worth of equipment to the Zvishavane based Sabi Gold Mine.

Confederations of Zimbabwe Industries president Mr Busisa Moyo said a gold backed currency was a sound economic intervention.
"If it is along the lines of the Afreximbank facility, then it will give a lot of credibility to the currency because there is depressed demand for goods and products as people have no cash," said Mr Moyo.
Demand, he said, should be at its highest owing to activities at the tobacco auction floors, but shortage of cash had dampened economic activity.
There are reports that some foreigners are taking advantage of liquidity constraints to bring in money and buy gold.
Some gold miners, including informal ones have in recent days been reported to be channelling their gold to the parallel market.

Minister Chidhakwa said contingent measures were being put in place to ensure that miners got their money as soon as they delivered to Fidelity Printers and Refiners

IMF Staff Completes 2017 Article IV Visit to Zimbabwe

May 15, 2017
End-of-Mission press releases include statements of IMF staff teams that convey preliminary findings after a visit to a country. The views expressed in this statement are those of the IMF staff and do not necessarily represent the views of the IMF’s Executive Board. Based on the preliminary findings of this mission, staff will prepare a report that, subject to management approval, will be presented to the IMF's Executive Board for discussion and decision.
  • The economy is facing difficulties as a severe drought and slow reform momentum have led to high expenditure levels since late 2015, despite subdued revenues.
  • Spending pressures stem from high employment costs, government transfers to support specific economic sectors, and elevated discretionary expenditure.
  • The team recommends taking action to unleash the potential of the private sector and ensure that growth benefits the most vulnerable segments of the population.
An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team led by Ana LucĂa Coronel visited Zimbabwe from May 2 to 13, 2017, to hold discussions with the national authorities, private sector representatives, and civil society in the context of the 2017 Article IV Consultations. The discussions covered recent economic developments, the outlook and risks, as well as policies that could restore economic stability.
At the conclusion of the visit, Ms. Coronel issued the following statement:
“The economy is facing difficulties. A severe drought and slow reform momentum have led to high expenditure levels since late 2015, despite subdued revenues. With a difficult external environment limiting access to foreign inflows, the ensuing large fiscal imbalances are being financed by domestic borrowing. The expansionary fiscal stance and curtailed net capital flows have resulted in cash shortages, hampering economic activities.
“The recovery in agriculture and mining will drive growth this year. However, maintaining the growth momentum will require action to expedite the authorities’ plans to reduce the deficit to a sustainable level. Excessive government spending, if continued, could exacerbate the cash scarcity, further jeopardize the health of the external and financial sectors, and, ultimately, fuel inflation.
“Spending pressures stem from high employment costs, government transfers to support specific economic sectors, and elevated discretionary expenditure. Action on these three fronts, while safeguarding social outlays, is therefore crucial. Reducing the wage bill could involve reviewing allowances and benefits and evaluating the size of the civil service with a view to eliminating non-essential posts. Government interventions to support agriculture, while understandable, could be redesigned with the aim of maximizing the benefits on production while minimizing the risks to the public-sector balance sheet. Reinforcing the government’s efforts to curtail non-priority spending is also pressing.
“Restoration of confidence is essential for attracting the necessary dollar inflows to the economy. Refraining from central bank financing of the deficit and containing the issuance of debt and quasi-currency instruments is vital. Furthermore, the financial sector should restore its role of intermediating resources in the economy by channeling deposits to productive credit rather than financing fiscal operations.
“The team recommends taking action to unleash the potential of the private sector and ensure that growth benefits the most vulnerable segments of the population. Building on the progress already achieved, the government is encouraged to demonstrate that Zimbabwe is open for business. This will include enhancing efforts to tackle corruption, encouraging private sector investment, allowing the market to determine prices, promoting labor flexibility, and creating a stable legal and regulatory framework to reduce policy uncertainty. Moreover, there is room for enhancing domestic revenue mobilization, boosting transparency in the mining sector, and improving governance in public enterprises to strengthen the country’s fiscal position.
“The team stands ready to continue to work with the Zimbabwean authorities to address their policy challenges. The Executive Board of the IMF is expected to consider the staff report for Zimbabwe’s 2017 Article IV Consultations in early July. The team wishes to thank the authorities for their hospitality and constructive cooperation.”

Word on the Street Tuesday 5/16/17:
TNT CONFERENCE CALL MONDAY 5/15/17 DC NY CALL RECAP:
Good afternoon TNT Superfantastic Family. Today is marvelous Monday. Intel wise. We don't have any new intel that we can share with you that we did not already share through the weekend updates. We have heard announced on TV, it is time to finish up all this Mosul info and get it out of the way. They had some surprise attacks over the weekend in the old Mosul city, and it was reported that the final hours are among us. They were taking the fight from house to house going in the front door of one and out the back door of another getting it done. Now we are getting play by play reports. Weekend information said 11 districts remained, so we have gone from 7% down to 11 districts. 9 of those were partially claimed. That left 2 that would be still under ISIS control. The other 9, they were cleaning them up. We have ATM's that are in the areas including the Mosul region, and citizen protests have been cancelled for this week. Noone is planning on any fighting or kicking up any dust, nothing. We are being informed that citizens are happy having a positive outlook, and they are ready for something good to happen. We did get another update earlier this morning that one more district had been claimed. Now they are down to 10 with 9 being partially and one full district with ISIS. Abadi was reported saying on TV after 13 years Iraq has now opened their doors to the international world, and we are looking at the final hours of the liberation of Mosul. That was weekend activity, and like I said this morning, 1 more district. it is all part of those final hours I guess. Who knows how many hours it will take to be the final hours. Of course there is expectation that the final hours would come some time today or this evening. That remains to be seen. US banks are on high expectancy for exchanges. Around the first part of this week Monday Tuesday and Wednesday on the outer most time frame with it being expected that the general public will go around the first week of June. Of course you know, we are not the general public. We are the advanced public. We are right on the top of this thing when it pops. Lets see what else I can share. Lets go into the Q and A: Q: Based on you latest intel, on a scale from one to 10, will you and your family be celebrating your Birthday in Jamaica? Ray: Well if the banks get their way Yes! Q: Have your heard how the NSA virus could affect the RV? Ray: No I have not heard anything except some are scared of it. Q: With 10 more districts to go we are waiting on Iraq to be completely liberated Correct? Ray: Yes we are waiting on the complete liberation, since then certain things would take place.Q: Could this be a lengthy time frame? Ray: No, since they are showing they are aggressively trying to take care of it. Q: Do you know if the prices are still falling in Iraq? Ray: We have not heard of any price drops in almost a week, so I don't know if it has stabilzed and will inquire about that. Q: As far as the Dong, is it expected to increase in value? Ray: We have no indications that it is expected to increase the value, but it along with some of the others could possibly be released under its true original value with a time released step up to its real true value. It could be increase in incremental steps. Callers: 865: Catnip: I really like the announcement in terms of this call. I was hoping you would specifically come through and answer your own question of how many hours are still left in this process. Hearing what your said, I am gathering it is up to 36 hours. Is it a safe kind of answer to your question? Ray: I don't know. I guess it depends on how long it takes to knock out these districts. I was taking it when you were saying final hours sometime today or evening into tomorrow and 24 hours for tomorrow and 11 hours for today is 35 hours. Ray: Well that would be our thought. Those were his statements as the final hours. Ray: I don't know what number he started from. If it were me I am talking one, two, or three hours this is it the final hours, but he said that yesterday. We know it is not 2-3 final hours because here we are still waiting. Catnip: So in your perspective, we are still in a any minute any hour scenario? Ray: Yes. Catnip: In your closing comment you said you would check what you could share and there was a slight hesitation, but then you went onto the written questions. Any chance you may share that in your closing comments? Ray: No not on this call not today. Caller: 816: Is it possible of these people that are in control are listening as well. Ray: Of course, we have shared that before. We shared with you in the past that we knew at least 6-7 countries were listening on the call not to mention to the different agencies here in the US. I don't think we have ever had a GCR based on the value of each country and that is supposedly what we are in the midst of. We hear Iraq is going to be the richest value in the world based on their resources. Ray's Wrap up: I am still looking for this RV to happen this week. Our banking community is saying Monday, Tuesday. They are looking to work with some people and for the rest first week of June. We will see how that unfolds. You have already heard the advances that Iraq has made just with what they are putting out for their people. Protests have been cancelled. That is a big thing. Why? Someone is happy about something. The public information about Mosul is saying it is coming down now to 9 or 10 districts where before it was the western cities. You are getting play by play activity. It is showing you signs of progress publicly, but the private sides you can't see. Some of you if you can't see it, you don't believe it. Your faith levels are not there. This public info should have you in a place where you are not relying much on faith now because you can see the writing on the wall. Lower denoms are loaded as we have been told before, and the ATMs awaiting release time. You saw the articles on master cards and emphasizing on the citizens have cards with funding on them. If you have money on a card what would you need all those ATM's for? They are moving over to electronic format like over here. Most of us use our credit and debit cards now, so why use ATM's machines all over Iraq? I already told you that they are loaded with lower denoms, and it would make sense at the proper time when people want lower denoms just to go to an ATM machine if that is what they need. It is all coming together. You just wait for the next set of announcements and things posted on TV, and we will bring it to you. All of that would prove positive that it is coming together. Lets see what happens and what unfolds today. I am still excited about today for more info. Anything could happen anytime so lets just be ready. When something happens that I can let you know about, I will throw it out there. In the meantime and in between time, I don't know about you, but I am just going to keep Believing because, it is already done! Rayren 98

"Open" - GCR/RV History - Tuesday - May 16, 2017
The first GCR/RV was scheduled to begin at 8:00am EDT Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
The reason: All markets and banks are considered "open for business" for the first time each week (considering all worldwide time zones).
This is why the international business week begins on Tuesday morning and ends Thursday evening, with the United States being the last time zone recognized and New Zealand the first (16 hours earlier).
Meaning, one can freely send money anywhere in the world on the international wire system as the global monetary system is considered "active" worldwide on these three days only: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (EDT).
Perhaps the NPTB are just waiting for the natural start to the international business week to begin--so funds can freely move through the new financial system without any noticeable interruption or delay.
And maybe this currency version of the GCR/RV has already begun without our knowledge.
As business as usual would obviously be the safest way to release any GCR/RV regardless of day or time.
God is with us.
