We did not cut off electricity from Iraq and protests 'spontaneous'
BAGHDAD, July 23 (IranMania) - Iran's ambassador to Iraq, Erj Musjidi, said on Friday that Iran is denying its exports of electricity to Iraq and that the Iraqi side is committed to paying all its debts.
In an interview with Al-Waqat, Ambassador Masjedi denied media allegations that Iran's cut-off of its electricity exports to Iraq had triggered the popular protests.
He said that the main reasons for the recent protests in Iraq are the Iraqi people's demand that all social welfare, electricity and water services should be solved. Therefore, these protests are of a civil and social nature. The protests are due to the fact that most Iraqi citizens are largely dissatisfied with the performance of the Iraqi political movements and parties, which are not interested in their issues and demands.
The Iranian ambassador, Ali Afawi, the movement organized by some social networks, and pointed out that when the social protest movement began, some political forces tried to enter the arena, seeking to win the wave of these protests in their favor and expressed that the assumption that the formation of these civil protests led by some Iraqi forces Foreign and some internal Iraqi political movements, such as the Baath party, is largely untrue because, on the one hand, according to the Iraqi political parties statement, we have seen that everyone respects the will of the Iraqi people. On the other hand, Avoid violence and threaten the lives of citizens and destroy public property, so it can be said that it is possible to exploit foreign currents to these protests, but this does not mean that the protests were artificial.
Masjedi said that Iran exported a certain amount of electricity to Iraq, and in the chapters where Iranian provinces need to consume a large amount of electricity, it is normal to reduce their exports to Iraq in line with domestic consumption.
He stressed that Iran's suspension of the export of electricity to Iraq is not true in any way, but it stops only at certain hours and here it should be noted that electricity in Iraq connected at night fully.
The Iranian ambassador, saying: The reduction of Iran's exports of electricity to Iraq is not linked in any way with the issue of Baghdad's debt to Tehran and this issue was raised in recent meetings held by Iranian officials with their Iraqi counterparts, where both sides agreed that Iran will continue to export electricity to Iraq But will reduce the proportion of exports when the economic pressures on them and pointed out that it is natural that Tehran reduce these exports when increasing domestic consumption.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq, in connection with Iraq's debt to Iran, stated that the Iraqi Government was repaying its debts under a pre-agreed timetable. Although there were some obstacles that had delayed payment, the Iraqi Government was obliged to pay all Debt obligations in general.
Kuwait provides 30,000kw of electricity to Basra
23/07/2018 - 00:34
The Kuwaiti government has provided emergency aid to Iraq in the light of the difficult conditions faced by a number of Iraqi cities due to the severe shortage of electricity.
Kuwait's Undersecretary of Electricity and Water, Engineer Mohammad Bu Shahri, said that in view of the current difficult circumstances faced by the brothers in the Republic of Iraq, which is partly due to a severe shortage of electricity, the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has offered urgent assistance to brotherly Iraq.
He explained that the Ministry of Electricity and Water donated 17 mobile generators with a total capacity of 30 thousand kilowatts to alleviate the electricity crisis in the Iraqi city of Basra.
The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity announced yesterday that the State of Kuwait will equip the ministry with kerosene fuel to operate the obstruction units.
The ministry said in a statement that "under the guidance of the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil will begin to equip the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity with kazaweel fuel to operate the suspended generating units and support the operating units."
Adding that he was waiting (Friday) to arrive at the ports of Basra barge Kuwaiti loaded with 30 thousand cubic meters of fuel kasaweel, as a down payment, and that the quantities continue periodically over the coming days.
Iraq, OPEC's second-largest oil producer after Saudi Arabia, has shrunk its refining capacity when militants stormed the Baiji district south of Baghdad in 2014.
Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990 and committed atrocities against its people before an international coalition led by the United States ousted the Iraqi army.
Iraq has imported between 1500 and 2000 MW from Iran to cover the shortage of its internal production. The Iranian government announced the suspension of export to Iraq in conjunction with the high temperatures that reached in the city of Amara (southern Iraq) to 51 Celsius because of say it is the accumulation of debt to Iraq, More than 23 thousand megawatt hours of electricity, to meet the needs of the population and institutions without interruption. But can not produce more than 15 thousand and 700 megawatts of electricity, leading to the need to import from abroad. The problem is usually exacerbated in the peak season of the summer, with temperatures rising, which coincides with frequent interruptions in the national grid.

In the demonstrations of the French students in 1968, it was the end of the general strike. Charles de Gaulle could only meet the request of the writer and thinker Jean-Paul Sartre when he told him: "France was released." The first initiative to lift the ban on what was called Night "), which are circulated by people at night in secret ways, and then ended with the dissolution of the National Assembly and the announcement of the establishment of new elections, and if we want to tell our politicians today or the Prime Minister specifically:" released Iraq .. "Will come out of us and say Iraq is imprisoned? Yes, sir, the Iraqi people are imprisoned for their necessary needs. The government is also imprisoned for the differences of some politicians and their riding waves. Imposed by ministers, agents and directors-general to reach the lowest employee appointed within the proportions they initiated, the prison of financial and administrative corruption practiced by some and covered by some others, prisoner of sectarian premises for some, who have no other weapon to blackmail the emotions of people The simple ones who gave them their voices
Let them down.
Iraq came out healthy and still has a soft wound that did not heal. It came out of a vicious war in which heroic feats and victories dazzled the world, thanks to the heroes of our brave army, the internal security forces, especially the federal police, the heroes of the popular crowd, the tribesmen and the Peshmerga forces. In which the forces of the people of different sects and components united, because the land of Iraq was not liberated from the defilement of the terrorists, what have you offered to your people? Have you offered what is equivalent to the great sacrifices of the young people of Iraq who fled the soil of the homeland with their pure blood? What did you give to their parents? Their parents, widows and orphans? Think once that you are fair to this people who have suffered the scourge of terrorism and was a prisoner of the dangers that have raged in the markets, schools, colleges, mosques, Husayniyat and even homes.
Sacrifices.
Of course, we do not deny the existence of politicians who seriously think to meet the demands of the demonstrators, but the demands can not be met overnight by my order from the Prime Minister. Rather, they need to combine all efforts and do not tolerate the presence of those who obstruct them for political reasons. , And work opportunities, and we can add to it the reconsideration of the levels of education, and the accounting of corrupt, and the imposition of the law, and the restriction of arms by the state, and eliminate the manifestations of armament, and codify tribal norms to achieve the rule of law, and the protection of freedoms, and these demands are not impossible, Iraq as united against Dr. To be the first initiative to return the Internet to social networking sites ?!
