Until then we wait and see. Some people say not this year and they might be right but then I feel Iraq is behind the steering wheel and will control when all this takes place, [Guru] Kap posted about Iraq GDP being over 8 % next year , wow that is impressive if they do it. But I wouldn't sell the house of that until we see what they really do. Time will tell.

Trump got us to 3.3% and we have the hugest economy in the world in two years...and it's only 3.3% so if Iraq goes from 3% to 8% in 7 to 10 months or all of next year which is 18 months that is truly phenomenal growth... What they're saying is 'We are not going to change the value of our currency until investors come in and say they want to help us.' That's really what they're doing. Guru Enorrste - That's very well stated. Of course the investors are saying exactly the opposite. 'We are not going to invest until you show us you have an open currency.' So it's a catch 22. 7-20-2019 Newshound Guru Kaperoni A company called SAP announced a few weeks ago that they are...opening an office in Baghdad. One of the things they say in the article is "the real GDP growth in Iraq is expected to double by about 3 times to 8.1% in 2020."... right now I think it's at 2 point something. This company SAP who has come in with an investment strategy they believe the GDP in Iraq is going to 8.1%...If anyone thinks this is going to drag out another year, a year and a half, two years I think they're kidding themselves...we're talking in the next 7 to 12 months they expect the GDP to raise that high.

Jordanian media have been asking Iraqi lawmakers to hold a former minister accountable, accusing him of corruption and buying a quarter of the capital Amman.
In a letter addressed to Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, the deputies demanded accountability of the former minister, and the recovery of billions of Iraqi dinars that were looted when he took his ministry under the previous government, according to their claim.
The deputies said, according to the monitoring of the news that the minister is one of the richest rich Kurdistan region and holds the car trade and has the largest selling and buying cars in the region.
The deputies: The former minister and his brothers became one of the most famous real estate dealers in Jordan, so they are said to have bought a quarter of the existing properties in the capital Amman? Even the Jordanian people are trading jokes about the Iraqi minister who bought condominiums and residential complexes in Amman, according to their description.
The deputies called for the activation of the Supreme Council to fight corruption, and not to be a paper on the paper according to their description.
They did not mention the name of the minister concerned.

The bank denies the transfer of some social media to the smuggling of the Iraqi currency
Some social media outlets broadcast a video clip showing some categories of the Iraqi currency in boxes marked with the name of the Central Bank of Iraq, which provoked a crackdown on smuggling of the Iraqi currency. While the bank denies any smuggling operation, it would like to state the following:
1. The funds offered do not belong to the Central Bank, and differ from the special funds in the Iraqi currency in terms of shape, color, material and size.
2. The Central Bank followed up with the security authorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies of the countries mentioned in the video clip. Note that there are previous cases proved by the search, by the security services, not completely correct.
3. So far, these papers have not been found and have not been publicly displayed in any country, and the current investigations have proved to be only pictures and films.
4. The central bank prints its currency in the global printing houses, and monitors its production, from the paper making to the final version, according to tables and serial numbers to check every stage until it is received in Iraq.
5. We warn of the confusion that is taking place with the aim of undermining the country and its successful institutions, including the Central Bank. The sooner one of these institutions succeeds domestically and internationally, the more they come under such slander. The attack comes in line with the announcement of the bank's growth of reserves and control of the exchange rate, in order to reduce this success.
Finally, the central bank calls on all media to be careful in dealing with the news, because inaccurate news has negative effects on the stability of the banking and financial system in Iraq.
