Tuesday July 9th 2019
The Iraqi Defense Ministry delayed the results of the investigation into the case of Major General Mahmoud al-Falahi, commander of operations Anbar, accused by an armed faction supported by Iran to communicate with spies working for US forces.
But a source in the Anbar government said the farmer was meeting regularly with US officers for security coordination purposes, so he did not need an intermediary to provide him with coordinates on movements by Shi'ite factions.
The deputy of Anbar province Yahya al-Mohammadi said that accusing the peasantry of spying is targeting the Anbar people, pointing out that the peasant is known for his courage and he has acquiescence in the battles of Anbar. He has achieved many gains while fighting fierce battles against an oppressive organization.
The source also said that the American forces, with its sophisticated technology, do not need spies to provide them with information on the ground, and that US aircraft wipe the Iraqi territory dozens of times a day, explaining that the accusation of farmers is not based on logical arguments convincing.
The Iraqi Ministry of Defense opened a probe into a video clip belonging to Hezbollah brigades that included a call between Major General Mahmoud al-Falahi and one of the alleged leaks that he was a spy for the CIA.
The spokesman of the Brigades, Mohammed Mohieldin said that the US embassy intervened through its collaborators inside Iraq to remove the accusation of the peasant.
The Shi'ite faction, backed by Iran, implicitly called for the death penalty for the Iraqi general on charges of treason.
For his part, questioned the member of the Security and Defense Committee in the Iraqi parliament the reality of audio recording smuggled MP Karim Aliawi said that the technical examination of the barbed wire will doubt the certainty, stressing that there are no pressure from the US embassy to the investigation letter on track.

Hashd al-Shaabi Won't be Fully Integrated into Iraqi Army: Iran
The pro-Iranian Hashd al-Shaabi militias will not be fully integrated into the Iraqi army, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to a recent decree by Iraqi PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi to curb the power of the Shi'ite militias.
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Abbas Mousavi, pointed out that only Iraq is authorized to make any changes or modifications to the decision if needed, but that the decree does also not mean that all the Shi'ite militias will be part of the national army.
He further noted that Abdul-Mahdi's aim is more about reorganizing the Hashd al-Shaabi militias.
The Iraqi premier, other than issuing the decree, also vowed to consider any armed factions operating under the Hashd al-Shaabi illegitimate if they do not abide by the new policy.

7-8-2019 Intel Guru MarkZ This weekend has been very slow for news until early this morning... I have...not had time to vet it all. I have some news I cannot say that makes me confident that at least the rest of the world will be going tomorrow and the US shortly after...although we still hope we all go together. ...Rumors from the banking side is we may see 800 numbers this afternoon. [Status on Redemption Centers today?] They did not work this weekend…but have reported to work bright and early today. Dong rate rumor I heard it will start at .47 at the street and float up to its final value of around $2.27. This should not effect those of us calling the 800 numbers. Rumored dinar rate are pretty fantastical...not sure I believe it...Contract rates $28 for the first 10 million...

There remains at least the requirements of a census and referendum. Article 140 involves three stages. The first, normalization, has a compensatory payment factor to it. The next two are a census and a referendum to determine inclusion in the KRG. There are reports of a census in 2020, but there is an argument over whether it is/ can be used as the article 140 census. It is possible that the recent news was about funding for the census. 7-7-2019 Intel/Newshound Guru sandyf People should note that Iraq was effectively removed from UN Chapter 7 in 2013 when the Kuwait missing persons issue was transferred to Chapter 6. Quote: "the United Nations Security Council decided on 29 June to address the remaining question of missing Kuwaiti persons and property under Chapter VI, i.e. by peaceful means. Iraq’s only remaining Chapter VII obligation is the payment to Kuwait of 8.5 billion euros, which is to be completed in 2015 if Iraq maintains the current pace of reimbursements. The UNSC decision therefore closes, both literally and figuratively, a painful chapter in Iraq’s history" There are still Chapter 7 sanctions in place against Iraqi individuals and entities but that has no bearing on Iraq as a country.
