ERBIL — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) finalized the list of its nominees for the next cabinet of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), said party spokesperson Latif Omar.
PUK politburo held a lengthy meeting on Saturday, during which is has denied on six nominees for the ministries of Peshmerga Affairs, Agriculture, Planning, State, Culture, and Higher Education.

Human Rights Watch and other rights groups have received numerous reports that overcrowding has led to injuries and illnesses as well as mobility problems. At least four people died in custody and were sacked.
Lama Fakih, acting Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said the concerns about overcrowding not only affect detainees but also society as a whole. "The authorities must ensure that the conditions in Iraq's prisons do not promote further injustices in the future."
The three pre-trial facilities appointed by Human Rights Watch on Thursday, Tal Kaif, Safirat and Al Faisaliah, were designed for about 2,500 people. They currently number about 4,500 people, including 1,300 people who have already been tried and convicted and should have been transferred to less crowded facilities in Baghdad.
Most of whom are being held on terrorism-related charges under Iraq's comprehensive anti-terrorism legislation. None of them has access to lawyers and there is no clear legal basis for their detention, Human Rights Watch said, calling for the use of pre-trial detention as a last resort and the release of children held in accordance with UN rules.
