The Office of AML / CFT has launched educational workshops aimed at spreading awareness and fighting the crime of money laundering and terrorist financing in Iraqi institutions and ministries.
A statement issued by the Office indicated that these workshops are field access targeting the staff and employees of some ministries, financial institutions, non-financial businesses and professions.
The statement pointed out that a number of workshops were held in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers / the Department of NGOs, the Ministry of Planning, the Registrar of Companies in the Ministry of Commerce, and the Association of Accountants.
In the coming days, AML / CFT is seeking to hold more educational workshops in other ministries and departments in order to reach the largest number of Iraqi state employees.

(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Al-Rasheed Bank, Tuesday, confirmed its continuation by granting the pensioners' advances and no health to stop them.
The bank said in a statement received by Al-Furat News that it is "continuing to grant pensioners' pension, which ranges between 3 million and 8 million," adding that "the advance is granted to the original retiree and not to his successor."
The statement added that "grant the advance to holders of card {Nakheel} exclusively," calling "all those wishing to lend their branches in Baghdad and the provinces to promote their applications."

Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Mr. Adel Ashtayeh received today in Baghdad a letter containing a document of the Iraqi government to the cemetery of the Iraqi martyrs in the city of Nablus, expressing the pride of the sacrifices made by the Iraqis on the land of Palestine.

The Prime Minister received Mr. Adel Abdul Mahdi, Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Mr. Mohammed Ashtia and his accompanying delegation, who arrived in Baghdad before noon today, and includes a number of ministers and businessmen.
The Prime Minister and his Palestinian counterpart held a bilateral meeting at the government palace to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. He then headed the joint talks session in the presence of ministers from both delegations.
The Prime Minister reiterated Iraq's stand in support of the rights of the Palestinian people. He said: "Iraq's position on Palestine is clear and to be dressed in it. It is a national duty, and Palestine is in our hearts. We have been raised to love and defend it, our present and our future is shared. We are confident of victory and we appreciate the sacrifices of the Palestinians in another confrontation. Forms of colonization and settlement.
"We are meeting today to discuss cooperation in the economic, financial and investment fields. We look forward to this visit and discussions between the ministers on both sides leading to practical solutions that will take place on the ground and move from political issues to the demands of our two peoples," he said.
For his part, the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine Mr. Ashtiyeh expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the reception he received and the accompanying delegation. He also conveyed the greetings of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He also directed an official invitation to visit Palestine. He said: "We look forward to achieving them as a historic visit and a mission that will bring joy to our hearts. On your efforts, your wisdom, your foreign and regional policy, the status of Iraq's advancement and the preservation of Iraq's political diversity and social fabric.
The Prime Minister reviewed the opportunities of cooperation between the two countries in the economic, trade and agricultural fields. He praised Iraq's support for Palestine and the sacrifices of the Iraqi people in defense of the Palestinian cause and presented the Iraqi government's document of the Iraqi martyrs' cemetery in Nablus to express pride in these positions and sacrifices.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Trade, Head of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iraqi Ambassador to Palestine, a number of officials and advisors, and their counterparts in the Palestinian side.
At the end of the meeting, the prime ministers presented a briefing on the progress of the talks and the relations of cooperation between the two countries.
