Saudi Energy Minister: We expect increasing global demand for oil this year
10-03-2019 12:12 AM
Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih said Riyadh would wait for the oil market to be set by next June. "We are dealing with it properly," he said.
"Chinese demand for oil is on record, and we expect to break the 11 million bpd this year," he said.
Global oil demand this year is expected to increase by about 1.5 million barrels per day, he said, adding that China and the United States will lead strong global demand for oil this year, but it would be premature to change the OPEC production policy at the next meeting of the Organization in April , According to the agency "Reuters".
"Saudi oil production in April will be higher than in March," he said.
OPEC and its allies meet in Vienna on April 17 and 18, and another meeting is scheduled for June 25-26.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), together with Russia and other non-OPEC members, on January 1 began a new cut in production to avoid a speculative supply of crude that could cause prices to fall. The group agreed to cut production by 1.2 million barrels per day For six months.
OPEC's quota for production cuts is 800,000 barrels per day (bpd) applied by 11 OPEC members after excluding Iran, Libya and Venezuela from the cut.
Saudi Arabia currently exports about 7 million barrels of crude oil per day, plus 2 million barrels of natural gas liquids and petroleum products.

History: 10 March 2019
Three opinion polls for Al-Bayan on its website and its accounts on Facebook and Twitter showed that the end of a Damascus-based organization paves the way for an agreement between the government and the Kurds.
Sixty-two per cent of the respondents said on the Bayan website that defeating the terrorist organization would lead to an agreement between the Syrian government and the Kurds, while 38 per cent indicated that the end of the terrorists would widen the differences between the parties.
Seventy-seven per cent of the respondents said that the defeat would have "pushed" closer positions between Damascus and the Kurds, while 33 per cent said defeat would fuel differences.
The respondents in Twitter did not differ in their views. Seventy percent of them said that defeating terrorism in Syria would close the distance between the Syrian government and the Kurds, compared to 30 percent who went the other way.
The political analyst, Areeb Rantawi, that there is a dialogue between Damascus and the Kurds did not result in understandings yet, pointing out that this dialogue is conducted through Russian mediation.
Rantawi pointed out that Russia believes that reaching an agreement will limit the Turkish ambitions and intentions to establish a safe area deep in the Syrian territory, and the consequent risks and repercussions.
"But the Russian mediation collides with several obstacles, the most important of which is the high expectations and demands of the Kurds. The list submitted by the Kurds includes the demand for self-administration and special Kurdish forces, close to the Iraqi Kurdistan model. This is unacceptable to Damascus, Iran, Turkey and all countries that have a problematic With the Kurds ».
Al-Rantawi said that the obstacles to dialogue are also the lack of flexibility in Damascus in dealing with Kurdish cultural rights, and its desire to deal with them as it was in the past with little to give, noting that the most important obstacle is to direct Washington to warn the Kurds strongly include lifting the cover and not support them If they reached understandings with Damascus.
Order of papers
In turn, the expert on Russian affairs, d. Hossam al-Atom, that Russia is trying to rearrange the cards between the two parties to maintain balance, without prejudice to the privacy of the Kurds and maintain the unity of the Syrian fabric of division, a vision that contradicts the wishes of the United States that benefit from a dispute between the Kurds and Damascus, he said.
He added: "Russia since the beginning of the Syrian crisis and its position is unchanged, and recognizes the importance of the Kurds not only in the fight against the preacher, but in the whole of the Syrian crisis, and ended in spite of the existence of constant skepticism by the Russians of the US presence in Syria, but it will be the beginning of an agreement between the Kurds And Damascus in proportion to the Russian vision on the one hand, and American demands on the other ».
Opportunity
The Kurdish researcher Ibrahim Kaban points out that the Syrian government has an opportunity to start a serious dialogue with the Kurds, noting that serious dialogue with the Syrian Kurds and reaching an agreement that satisfies the parties is the next solution to the Syrian state if it wants to get rid of its problems, In particular that the Kurds control 35 percent of the Syrian territory, which comes from oil and gas.
The international relations expert d. Ayman Sameer, in the same direction, stressing that relations between the Kurds and the Syrian government will be strengthened in the coming period, because of the Turkish threat, as Ankara seeks to expand east of the Euphrates.

3-10-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat I...heard some ridiculous chatter about a LOP...If there was going to be LOP they would have already done it and not be sending out countless articles on the project to delete the zeros and valuation strategies. ...a LOP is not possible. Not in my terms but from FACTS from the CBI itself.
3-9-2019 Intel Guru MarkZ [Has anybody seen a pic of the lower denominations on this side of the pond?] I have...its exciting to see they are real... [Is the new rate posted in the Iraq gazette yet.] I was told by a person sitting on the ground with a contact in the government over there that they are expecting new rate on Saturday in Gazette … I sure hope so…if true..this means we are done
3-9-2019 Newshound Guru Bloodloch I often hear that "this event" or "that new law" will trigger a change in the exchange rate of the IQD, but there are actually quite a few factors that can influence exchange rates. Bear in mind, exchange rates on the Forex, and purchasing power of a currency within a country, are two different things, although one can influence the other in dramatic ways.
3-9-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat There was a recent news article stating that 80% of all Iraqis still do not have electronic banking and bank accounts. ...this simply is NOT the case. If this was the case the CBI could not have already satisfied its goal of reducing the on street three zero note supply by more than 2/3 down to just over 41 trillion dinars. How many times have they told us the original count of dinars printed and issued in 2003 and now in 2019? So we confirmed many times that this statement of 80% is a lie and impractical. My recommendation to everyone is to relax and wait for the reinstatement in the coming period. No one will know the exact time or date but we do know many things effecting these two parameters and so we can almost figure it out. We are now in the window and I do not see the window closing. [post 2 of 2]
3-9-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat The news today is all about the upcoming expectations to vote on the remaining last four ministers. We have to remember that a long-standing condition to reinstate the currency of Iraq is to have a “fully” formed government. This does not negate the other work on reforms too but I feel this is the last remaining item to conclude satisfaction to move ahead again with the project to delete the zeros. I have had word that the smaller category notes are already at the banks. ...so as the banks bring in the larger 3 zero notes they exchange them for the smaller notes. Since this is done way before any rate change, there are lots of smaller category notes obtained as needed to fulfill the needs of the marketplace afterwards. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]
3-9-2019 Intel Guru MarkZ [Frank26..had stated a while ago that the 3 zero's had already been deleted electronically?] ...i just take it as further proof things are moving over there…IF they are expecting new rates in the gazette on Sat which IMO would mean we r done! [We are not getting out of March without RV!] that is my belief...I do believe the RV is sooner than the 29th …We are in a perfect storm. [Any thoughts on rates?] I think we may see close to $6 on the dinar and $2 on the dong. Just my thoughts. [post 2 of 2]
3-9-2019 Intel Guru MarkZ ...Treasury contacts told me to tell you to keep your currency in your sight at all times…do your due diligence on everything…..keep your eyes on currency even at the bank when they are verifying it. There are lots of rumors from banking side expecting it to start overnight tonight [Friday] and 800 numbers tomorrow or over the weekend. But, my banking contacts have been expecting it everyday for a while now. ...I feel doggone good about the month of March and really good about this weekend… [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]
3-9-2019 Intel Guru RayRen98 [We did get the rates...two different major banks showing those same rates.] Dinar, $4.43 - $6.72; Dong, .47 - $2.27...
