Pompeo reveals details of his surprise visit to Baghdad

A statement of integrity received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "The Chamber, while talking about the details of the case investigated and forwarded to the judiciary, indicated that the convict, who was the director general of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank, deliberately damage the public money; By granting a private company a loan of 15 billion dinars, indicating that the loan granted was an exception from the geographical area, as well as the {loan} exceeds the value of the capital of the company granted to it.

Presidential source: America told Baghdad to extend Iraq's exemption from sanctions on Iran
BAGHDAD, May 8 (Reuters) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has told Iraqi officials to extend Iraq's exemption from sanctions against Tehran, an informed source said on Wednesday.
According to the source, "during the meeting of US Secretary of State to Iraqi President Barham Saleh has been confirmed extension of Iraq's exemption from sanctions on Iran as well as not to escalate with it."
"We want a strong Iraq that is not subject to any state," Pompeo told reporters in Baghdad, referring to Iran, which has political and military influence in Iraq.
"His visit to Iraq was caused by Iran's escalation of its activities," Pompeo said in a press statement, quoted by reporters accompanying him during the visit, adding that "America's concerns about Iraq's sovereignty are not new."
