The bank's information office said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it that "the distribution of salaries of civilian retirees for the month of June only according to what is indicated by the database of the Pension Authority." He pointed out that "this mechanism will be repeated every month and will receive retired military and civilian salaries monthly and high interest." The National Pension Authority, announced yesterday to pay the salaries of civilian retirees for the month of June 2019 as well as the payment of end of service benefits for civilian retirees for the April 2019. 5-30-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat We are at a stand-off now waiting for more progress to happen in Iraq. Their entire plan for funding the reconstruction effort has fallen apart just like I said it would if they did not reinstate the dinar and attract this investment money. We also know the Iranian influence in politics is holding up the remaining ministers. ...We also know the Iranian influence in trade is effecting the corruption of funneling US dollars to Iran to overcome some of the US sanctions on Iran. We see more smaller category notes being placed in banks. They pay the CBI for these notes by turning in the larger three zero notes they have collected from the currency auctions, etc, etc. ...there is really NOTHING, other than corruption being allowed by the CBI, holding back the reinstatement from taking place. So we just sit tight and wait to see what happens next.
5-30-2019 Newshound Guru Bloodloch The new 50 dinar note, as someone pointed out, is worth about 5 US cents.I believe this may be the start of a transition to a new, more valuable "class" of currency, one made of very small denominations, but of very large value. People may tend to panic when they consider Iraq coming out with a new currency that will, EVENTUALLY, replace their old triple zero notes, but they should not. The CBI has reportedly stated that both currencies will exist side by side for years. This would actually explain what they meant by that statement. ...once they issue the new very low denominations of dinars, and if they declare them to be equal to a US dollar, I believe the face value of total currency issued will drop precipitously and we will see a positive change in the foreign exchange rate of the old IQD within 60 days, given Iraq's current velocity of money figure of about once every two months. THIS IS JUST THEORYCRAFT AND JUST ONE OPINION OF HOW IT MIGHT OCCUR, NOT HOW IT WILL OCCUR.
5-30-2019 Intel Guru MarkZEveryone at the Redemption centers that I personally know are on high alert. ...Hearing that 800 #s will be for international folks as well… [Will this ever really happen?] This will absolutely happen... Its not an “if” it’s a “when”...
5-30-2019 Intel/Newshound Guru American Contractor The Iraqi economic conditions are gradually getting better...The country is receiving more foreign investment as its coming in slowly...butthe recent conditions like higher oil prices and higher public and private investment...Iraq is getting better. Iraq is working within the parameter of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund...The spread between the official and parallel exchange rate is getting closer (2%). Iraq has low inflation. Some say in the single digits. The Iraqi dinar is pegged to the USD. The CBI is using that to keep the inflation low. The CBI money supply has been contracting started last year. This may be a good thing. Will have to wait and see what develops with the IQD.
5-30-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat When is the turning point then when Iraq finally moves completely into Article 8 of the IMF charter for member nations and then operates fully in this capacity?...for now this has not yet “fully” happened. All I can say to you, without a shadow of a doubt, is that they still plan to implement “fully” the project to delete the zeros and issue some day the other smaller category notes. They appear to be phasing them in slowly, just as they said they would... [post 2 of 2]
5-30-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt GoatLast week the CBI issued yet anther smaller category note (50 dinar) along with the 250, 500 and 1000. ...The CBI is really trying to keep these larger 3 zero notes off the streets (5k, 10k, 25k and 50k notes). These are the ones they needed to reduce by 2/3 of the project to delete the zeros was to be successful...The CBI is being successful in slowly helping the citizens become more and more reliant on these smaller category notes. ...Is this not exactly what the CBI said they needed to happen when they say these larger 3 zero notes would remain and “coincide” with the smaller category notes? So what the CBI set up is working. Only it takes time to take hold to the degree they need... [post 1 of 2...stay tuned]
5-29-2019Newshound Guru Adam MontanaWe are just about through Ramadan, and this holiday has been a busy one. Historically, nothing significant has happened during Ramadan. To be more to the point, nothing at all usually happens during Ramadan...that has not been the case! I won't get into the "list" this morning, but Iraq has been very productive. Things are advancing!Ramadan is over around the 4th of June (it's different for some areas). Eid al fitr follows. The bottom line for us is pretty simple...once Ramadan is over, there is a short following holiday, and then it's "game on" for government and we are officially ready for big things. ...OIL - saw a little dip, but still stable and trending solid. No worries there.

UK Sends Forces to Iraq to Capture IS Leader Baghdadi
BasNews 30/05/2019 - 23:58
ERBIL- The UK has deployed special forces to Iraq for a "kill or capture" mission aiming to find the top Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a report revealed on Thursday.
According to a report by The Mirror, around 30 British Army’s Special Air Service (SAS) troops as well as Special Boat Service troopers have been dispatched to Iraq, cooperating with the US Special Forces in the country.
The deployment was reportedly issued in response to the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka where 253 people were killed while the IS leader Baghdadi later claimed his group's members' responsibility for the deadly incidents and urged the jihadists to continue conducting such attacks and extend their activities in other western countries.
However, the two countries' troops are also assisted by Iraq’s "Golden Division" special forces.
“Al-Baghdadi is a very important figurehead for Islamic State [IS] and getting him is a very high priority. His leadership of Daesh has been punctuated with some of the vilest acts of violence against human beings by terrorists. It would be good to capture him, but this may be unlikely given some of the areas he is thought to be hiding as they are almost no-go areas for western troops", a former intelligence officer was cited as saying, using an Arabic acronym for the IS, as reported by AMN News.
The forces are said to use RAF drones and Hellfire missiles in the operation.
"It is not known where al-Baghdadi is, but every suspicious movement on the ground is being monitored and, even though he is the most careful of the high-value targets, he will make a mistake. They always make a mistake in the end – and then he will be either trapped or killed," another senior source was quoted as saying.
