The name of Fayadh, who belongs to the victory bloc led by Abadi, has been circulated as one of the candidates for the compromises to become prime minister. Iran rejects claim it is arming Iraqis to fight US troops

New York, Aug 31, 2018 1:42

IRNA -- The spokesman for Iran mission to
UN Alireza Miryousefi on Thursday described Wall Street Journal’s claim that Iran is training and arming Iraqis to fight the Americans as ridiculous, saying that Iran has helped the country purely for the purposes of self-defense against terrorist groups like Daesh.

[Iran rejects claim it is arming Iraqis to fight US troops]

In a letter addressing writer of the note, Michael Gordon, he said that it is wrong to claim that Iran encourages Iraqis to participate in elections to help Shia dominate the country’s politics.

Full text of the letter reads as follows:

“Mr. Gordon,
As you are aware, Iran shares a large border with Iraq. Many Iraqis have crossed that border since the fall of Saddam Hussein, and the relations between Iran and Iraq restored.

While Iran has always encouraged all our Iraqi brothers--Shia, Sunni, and Kurd--to support democratic elections, it is preposterous and patently false to claim that that encouragement was 'so that the Shia could dominate Iraqi politics'.

Urging full participation by all groups and individuals in any election by definition is not preferring one party over another.

As to whether Iran has 'trained and armed Shia militias to fight US troops' that question has been answered numerous times over the past 15 years and is also preposterous on the face of it. Iran has helped Iraqis purely for the purposes of self-defense against terrorist groups like Daesh.”

The Director General of financial operations and debt management that 'we funded the projects through banks, and here was the inability of contractors to pay the loans granted to them, because the government originally did not meet their obligations and did not pay the amount of the value of these projects and therefore the deficit, but the government "It started to pay off its contractors in 2017.
On the deletion of the three zeros of the Iraqi currency, he replied Dagher that 'this issue purely technical and has nothing to do with the rise or fall of prices, and we are in the form of coins in our future projects, although it is high cost, but it is longer in circulation, The central bank will inject the paper currency category 250 and 500 dinars to the local market in quantities that eliminate the existing health to be within the reach of citizens to trade.
