Arbil (Kurdistan 24) - accused the leader of the Fatah Alliance Qais al-Khazali Tuesday the United States by "blatant interference" in the negotiations to form a federal government in Iraq, and said that Washington seeks to impose specific figures during the negotiations between the winning and competing blocs.
Khazali's remarks came after a meeting of al-Fath coalition, which includes leaders of the popular crowd, and was ranked second in the May 12 elections.
America intervenes in negotiations to form a government openly and sometimes even imposes figures," Khazali told a news conference with al-Fatah leader Hadi al-Amiri.
Washington has previously said the formation of the government is an "internal affair," but analysts say it wants a government that does not owe allegiance to its arch-rival Iran.
US presidential envoy Brett McGurk is holding consultations with various political forces in connection with the major bloc negotiations that will form the government.
Al-Khazali said McGowork would visit Baghdad and a US delegation later in the day to "press some parties to form a government."
"If the US embassy continues to intervene, we will not be silent," Khazali, who is close to Iran, said.
Khafali, who leads the Shi'ite Asaib al-Haq group involved in the popular rally, was apparently referring to the alliance of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.
Khazali was one of the aides to the leader of the Moqtada al-Sadr coalition, but he broke away after years of sectarian fighting that swept through Iraq in 2006 and 2007.
Before the opening meeting, Al-Ahed TV, owned by al-Khazali, published a series of Twitter tweets hinting that the Sunni axis might not be allied to the conquest. It could not be ascertained.
The Sunni Iraqi national axis is led by Khamis al-Khangar, who ran for election but withdrew later to present himself as leader of the Sunni Arab state.
Shiite forces, including leaders of the popular crowd, have long accused the dagger of funding armed groups opposed to the political process in Iraq.
And will not be able to block either the alliance of the conquest - the rule of law, or the four-alliance between Sadr and Abadi and Iyad Allawi and Ammar al-Hakim nail the big bloc without the participation of the Sunnis or Kurds.
The Fatah alliance has repeatedly tried to persuade the dagger to join him to form a major bloc that will form the government, but the national axis has not yet decided its decision.
"If Khamis Al-Dangar had negative comments, why was he allowed to participate in the elections?" Amiri told a news conference with Khazali.
"There is no good in a government that is formed under foreign pressure."
The al-Fath alliance, led by Amiri, is essentially allied with the State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki, who ruled the country for eight years

Joint venture between Iraq's Sumo and Shenhua to support crude oil sales
Aug 28, 2018
BEIJING (Reuters) - Iraq's state oil marketing company Sumo is in the process of concluding a deal with China's state-owned Shenhua Oil to boost Iraq's crude oil sales to China, the world's biggest crude importer, four sources said.
Iraq is the second-largest producer of oil in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The move will boost Iraq's position in Asia, the world's largest and fastest-growing oil region, which already buys 60 percent of its exports at around 3.8 million bpd. "Shenhua helped Iraq penetrate the Chinese market and generate more revenue," said a senior source familiar with the talks on the deal, adding that a proposed joint venture could be completed in October or November. Another source said the deal was awaiting regulatory approvals. and he did not mention any further details.
The location of the joint venture is not yet clear, but two sources said the choice of the coastal city of Tianjin, near Beijing, was being discussed as a possible location, and that Singapore was also among the options.
The four sources asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to discuss commercial issues with the media. Shenhua declined to comment, while Somo did not immediately respond to an e-mail request for comment.
China is under pressure to cut its oil purchases from Iran, Opec's third largest crude producer, with the United States re-imposing sanctions on Tehran and threatening to cut its oil exports to zero.
Amidst the trade dispute between Washington and Beijing, it is also unclear whether Chinese importers will be able to continue importing US crude. The Sumo-Shenhua deal will also offer China another option for oil, with the risks of US crude flows. Shenhua's relationship with Sumo dates back to the era of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, when the parent company, Norinco, was one of the first Chinese companies to invest in oil and gas exploration in Iraq.
Last year, Shenhua won a long-term contract to supply diesel to Somo for the first time, and recently also participated in a deal to develop the East Baghdad oil field.
Since the beginning of the year, Shenhua has marketed Iraq's main crude oil, Basrah Light, to Sumo. But also sold quantities to Taiwan, according to an independent Singapore trade source. Shenhua, China's smallest state-run oil and gas company, expanded its operations in oil sales to independent Chinese refiners, which have agreed to import crude since 2015 and now account for about 20 percent of China's total imports. Their sales to these independent companies reached a record 6.5 million tonnes last year, or 131,000 bpd, equivalent to about seven percent of total purchases, according to estimates in the oil sector.

A 10% fall in the pound, a surging FTSE 100, and a drastic move from the Bank of England: here's how markets will react to a no-deal Brexit
Business Insider
A no-deal Brexit is rising in likelihood as the UK's March 2019 deadline approaches. No deal would be hugely disruptive for financial markets. It would likely send the British pound plummeting, UK stocks surging, and force the Bank of England into drastic action. As the day of Brexit draws ever nearer, the prospect of Britain leaving the European Union without a deal continues to grow. What started out as an almost unimaginable scenario is now, in the minds of the British public at least, the Read the full story

A project to expel Iran from the global financial "Swift" system
Sixteen members of the US Senate, their Treasury, have demanded that conditions be provided to expel Iran from Swift's global financial system because of its continued funding and support of terrorism.
In a letter to Senators Ted Cruz, Sen. Steve Quinn, the senators urged the US government to "take rapid and comprehensive measures to ensure the success of the US government's maximum pressure strategy to ensure that Iran is removed from Swift."
The financial system, known as Swift, is the abbreviation of the Belgium-based International Society for International Financial Communications, but its management consists of executives from US banks and federal agencies.
In their speech, the senators said that maximum pressure would not come to fruition against the Iranian regime unless it was removed from the SWIFT network because of its continued financial support to terrorist groups.
US law gives President Donald Trump the right to impose sanctions on financial service institutions such as Swift, which provides the central bank with services and other banks on the US sanctions list if it fails to comply with sanctions.

8-27-2018 Newshound Guru Walkingstick [If they fall out of 2% compliance do they have to go another 90 Days?] No...In a nut shell...It is an issue. [Guru] Deltas response is accurate, due.. to the fact, the 2% compliance can easily spiral out of control... due to the CBI's continued use of the auction, as a tool/ their limitation of use of the tools available, that can be utilized to reel in or maintain the +/- 2% compliance... [reference Guru Delta's post 8-27-2018]

8-27-2018 Guest Guru BobTheTaxMan ...The second one we have to do is called IRS code 1256. It has to do with people who are specifically in the FOREX trading world...You bought something and you’re going ot sell it. That’s the whole purpose, welcome to the world of FOREX…One of the things that it does offer is 60% of the gain will be treated as long term capital gains and 40% will be treated as short term…also known as ordinary income. That is what’s so attractive to it. BUT you actually have to be in the FOREX trading world in order for that to be applicable to you. It’s not applicable. Are these the only options available? Yep, pretty much…Quite frankly I don’t want to get involved with the IRS and have them breathing down my neck and neither do you. Let’s just stick to the rules…there are other way to go about this to make it non-taxable... [post 3 of 3]

2-27-2018 Newshound Guru Kaperoni …Iran is pumping fake dinar into the market to lower the dinar exchange rate in hopes the CBI then pumps more dollars (which they can smuggle back to Iran). This is similar to what was done in 2013. None of the numbers in the media are official but the CBI does have to provide a sworn quarterly report that includes daily market rates to the IMF so they will eventually know. Starting over to meet compliance is something none of us want to see but may be a reality…The 2% spread is calculated by the IMF using the following formula Official Rate + commissions x .02 = 1214 or less. There are numerous IMF documents over the years that report the spread that can be used to determine this formula…
8-27-2018 Guest Guru BobTheTaxMan ...988 when they talk about any kind of capital gains…it is in reference to an incidental for travel for the most part or if there is a bank transaction…and there’s a little bit of currency exchange at that point in time. It’s still a fixed date in time and that does have some kind of implement to capital gains. But NOT over $200. It’s not something that’s for us as holding the money, investors that this is going to be applicable to. It does not matter. So anyone who brings up 988…don’t pay any attention to it. It doesn’t make any difference. It’s already been tested and gone over for years now... [Post 2 of 3]

First of all 988 covers a multiple of things. The only way it can be interpreted the way to serve capital gains is incidental…As long as you’re holding dinar as a investment you do not have a set time that you are going to evaluate the value of it. You don’t. You’re hanging onto it. Therefore it will not be considered capital gains because you do not have a purchase date, start date, end date. It is strictly ordinary income.
