8-14-2018   Newshound Guru chattels   Quote:  "Revealed the current national wisdom headed by Ammar al - Hakim, on Monday, ...the next three days will see the introduction of new names for prime minister."  Ali Mohammad Al-Hussein Ali Al-Adeeb has been mentioned recently, but he is arguably a Maliki proxy.  And, The man who may become Iraq’s next Prime Minister Jaafar al-Sadr is a strong candidate to take the top job, but there are plenty of obstacles in his way.  Abadi heads the Iraqi Caretaker Government as PM until replaced and he is the choice of the U.S.
8-13-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   They have to announce the newly elected chairman first. Then they must swear in the newly elected members of parliament. Then the winning party (Sadr Movement) presents their candidate for prime minister. He/she is then ratified by the new parliament to form his/her cabinet of ministries and give 90 days to do so. Remember this: When you hear the term “form the new government” this could be referring to two entirely different objectives. 1) is getting parliament members and the speaker back in session, the new president elected and his deputies or 2) it could mean the formation of the prime minister’s cabinet or both. So the articles are not always clear on the use of these terms.   [post 2 of 2]

8-13-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   Is the Iraqi government already formed? Again a rumor stating that it is already formed is just that - a rumor.  On Monday 8/6 they announced the sorting and re-counting was completed. Then the rest of the week the judiciary oversite reviewed the results and finding from the judges assigned to the re-counting. On Friday 8/10 they made a decision to ratify the election results for all but three candidates now charged with corruption in the cabinet ministries. So these were not parliamentary members but members of Abadi’s council of ministers. Now that the election results are ratified by the judiciary they can hold the first session of parliament. They have not yet given us a date as to when this will happen. My guess is probably this week sometime.   [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]

8-13-2018   Newshound Guru  Kaperoni   ...the very purpose of floating the currency is to counter inflationary pressure created by substantial investment. If you were to revalue...you would be circumventing that process.  Not to mention the CBI will make money buying and selling blocks of currency ending the currency auction. Any such single event would circumvent the ability to profit as the dinar rises.

8-13-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat
Anyway that this happens, we are told they must watch for inflation in this process, as a sudden adjustment in the value of the dinar could cause prices to sore [soar ?] or even not adjust past the larger 3 zero notes. The prices must come down and adjust. This will not be deflation but an adjustment to equal value within Iraq. For instance, a 25,000 note will be worth $25 at a 1:1. Then as the rate adjust on the FOREX float and rises for example to $3.00 USD, this same note can be worth $75 in Iraq. So you can see the increase in purchasing power at the marketplace. It is all relative and not a “lop” being performed but an “redenomination”.   [post 3 of 3]

8-13-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat    What to expect next from the CBI? So Eid al-Adha holiday in Iraq 2018 will begin in the evening of Tuesday August 21 and will end in the evening of Saturday August 25. I can assure everyone that the holiday has absolutely no significance in the timing of the reinstatement. FACT: The CBI is going to soon begin it’s long overdue educational program to the citizens on the reinstatement process and the launching of the newer category notes. This could come at the same time as the dinar is reinstated back on the currency exchanges or it might come days before.  [post 2 of 3....stay tuned]

8-13-2018   Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat   Relax when it comes close to the reinstatement we will hear from the CBI. They have told me over and over again that when the time gets close, simply read the news media from Iraq. They fully intend to explain the process of the final stages of the “project to delete the zeros’ to the citizens. So far, they have kept their promises each time they geared up for the past target dates. I have no reason why they would not continue to do the same.  ...So what did the CBI last tell us They told us they needed a more “suitable timeframe”. This to us meant that the elections process first needed clean out the corrupt officials, which in turn would assist in stopping much of the money laundering, fraud and manipulation of the currency auctions. This is now all being taken care of as the election results become public. The judiciary just told us they ratified the results. So this is moving forward.   [post 1 of 3....stay tuned]

8-13-2018  Newshound Guru Breitling   …The situation that you are watching with Turkey and their currency going down and then obviously the value of Iran’s currency going down…it will be nothing like the Iraqi dinar.  Basically we are at war and we want to get rid of the people at the top.   He’s [Trump] trying to squeeze them and force them into doing deals.  Just like we did with Nato and with the EU in general and with Russia…The thing with Turkey is their currency has gone down and their leaders are panicking.  …lots of signals out there that even if it does go back up it will not be anything significant….so stay away from them [Turkey and Iran Currency].  The Zimbabwe currency stay away from it…We’ve talked about it a lot but there needs to be a lot done for the Vietnamese currency. I still have it but there is no report.  Again it all depends on China.  On China’s attitude.  On what China is doing.

8-12-2018 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan [Does The HCL have to be implemented before the RI/RV.Imo, It has been for months now, just not literally yet. They have calculated the information necessary for them to have the HCL done and even activated by or on about September 5th per articles of recent... The calculation would be based on oil output that the IMF and even KPMG would have had already worked up. The citizens imo will be paid their share apparently on or around the 5th of September, but, that amount would be posted electronically to then [them ?] in new currency that can be loaded on cards. There is a recent article(s) that state just how serious it would be to tell them that the money is coming and for them to not follow through, would create even harsher protests...They know they are getting paid, and, imo, the international calculation / rate will be / maybe exposed long before that date. They just showed the specimens to the world and what that means to them and us.. It is for other countries to know what to look for... As in when we walk through the doors with those notes, they canverify what they are looking at...Amazing what is staring at us in the face.. Abadi responds to the decline of his fortunes in the second term because of his position on Iran
2018/8/13 20:05
[Ayna-Baghdad]
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi justified his downgrade of his second term of office from Iran to offer the people's own interest. As he put it
"The water issue is the most prominent in our visit to Turkey because of the huge reduction of Iraq's share of them and we want a great understanding and understanding to ensure this share as we will discuss the security and economic file," Abadi said at his weekly press conference.
"We want to keep the relationship good with the neighboring countries and we want it to be effective in the interest of all," he said, denying that there was controversy in his visit to Iran.
"I have not made a decision on Iraq's stance against US sanctions against Iran, but it was a vision and we are serious in opposing it because the Iraqi people have suffered an unjust blockade and it is not right for the people to bear these sanctions," Abadi said.
"It is not the right of a large and powerful state to impose a blockade on a state," he said, referring to the United States.
"Iran remains a neighboring country and we want to resolve all the issues of dispute," he said. "It is in the interest of Iraq and its people to live in peace, integration and common interests between countries."
"The sanctions are not from the United Nations but they are American, the dollar is a US currency and any dealings with it must be passed through the US Federal Bank, which has imposed sanctions on Iran," the prime minister said.
"We do not want to sabotage the relationship between the two countries, despite the attempts of some to do so. We regret the misuse of some of the relations with Iran and the reaction of some officials in the neighboring country," he said. Individuals and not an official position. "
"We do not back down from the rights of our people and the interest of the Iraqis and we do not want to abuse and transgress against anyone and we are not part of an unjust campaign against any neighboring country, we do not cooperate with it and we do not accept it."
He noted that "dealing with the dollar with Iran, there is no solution before us, but the commitment to US sanctions and it is not our business to look for an alternative to the dollar with them, but the state of the matter that does not have the capacity to receive," noting, "We have not taken any decision yet on dealing with a substitute for the US currency" .
"I am ready to pay my life and all positions to serve the Iraqi people and everyone has to give the people their own interests," he said.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister stressed that "there are measures to re-evaluate the officials responsible for the various service responsibilities and assess the level of performance and efficiency, corruption and integrity and follow-up of what they provide, whether in the provinces or ministries," noting that "we issued orders for change and began the Ministry of Electricity and we will start with ministries and other institutions."
He added, "We are arming the armed forces and upgrading their capabilities to be ready because the threat continues from inside and outside Iraq from different terrorist groups. We have issued decisions to arm the army and maintain aircraft and provide them with what is required for their important role in securing air cover for the ground forces and pursuing terrorists in remote areas and deserts. "He said.
"We are keen to modernize all military equipment and naval force as an important and essential part of protecting Iraq's ports and oil installations," he said.
"We want to inspect all the weapons stores, including the popular crowd as a new force and get bad storage, which led to several accidents, some of them with high temperatures," he said.
"A high committee was set up to inspect the sites of the crowd and to find alternatives to store them properly."
"The National Security Council recently discussed securing Iraq's border with Turkey with the Border Guard forces of the Ministry of the Interior, and our firm position on border security and preventing any groups playing a role against neighboring countries.
On the decision of the Council of Ministers today to reduce tourism fees for visitors to the 40th visit, Abadi said that "due to the economic situation in Iran and the decline of their currency has been reduced tourist fees for visitors to the next forty, especially as they are tourists for a certain period and not traders and businessmen."
