"We will pursue them and pursue them according to legal procedures and to prevent sectarian chaos that threatens the social and visual peace."

Iraq to keep importing Iran's gas, power despite US ban
Baghdad, April 25, IRNA -- Iraq is set to maintain and even increase its natural gas and electricity imports from Iran to meet the extreme summer demand, defying the US move to stop issuing sanctions waivers for the countries that import energy from Iran.'For us, Iraq, we don't have any other option right now,' Musaab Mudarris, an electricity ministry spokesman, told reporters on the sidelines of an energy conference in Baghdad.
He said summer season electricity demand in Iraq is 24,000 MW, even with government plans to shut down state-run factories and other attempts at debottlenecking.
Mudarris said demand is increasing at 7% annually. But power supply, from baseload generation to imports from power lines coming from Iran, 'will be around 18,000 MW.'
'We import currently from Iran about 28 million cubic meters per day of gas, which generates 2,800 MW,' said Mudarris. 'Plus, we are importing 1,500 MW [of electricity on cross-border power lines]. So it will be [over] 4,000 MW generated by imported gas and imported power.'
Mudarris said gas imports for the summer will temporarily increase to 35 million cubic meters per day, adding another 700 MW of electricity generated via Iranian support.

Of all potential bureaucratic ordeals, tax audits connote a level of dread few others can match. The Internal Revenue Service processed 586.1 million tax returns between 2012 and 2015 and audited 4.5 million of them.
With a full-time staff of just 76,800, the IRS has limited capacity to ensure every American pays exactly what he or she owes. But the IRS does not choose tax returns to be audited entirely at random. Tax returns that do not match established patterns are at increased risk of an audit. And though filing by the book is the best way to avoid an audit, it is by no means a guarantee.
Americans filing taxes this year should take comfort knowing that the likelihood of being selected for an audit is low. Each year, there are about 7.7 audits for every 1,000 returns. Still, in nearly every state, there is at least one county where the likelihood of being targeted by the IRS is higher than average. 24/7 Wall St. reviewed audit rates in over 3,000 counties, county equivalents, and independent cities to determine where audits are most common in every state.
While conventional wisdom may suggest wealthier Americans are more likely to avoid paying taxes, and are therefore more likely audit candidates, the opposite appears to be true. Poverty is more common in 43 of the 50 counties on this list than it is across the state as a whole - and many of these counties rank as the poorest county in the state.
This is no coincidence. Many low-income households claim the earned income tax credit - or EITC - a program designed to ease financial hardship for the working poor. According to a 2018 report released by ProPublica, a non-profit investigative publication, EITC recipients are disproportionately targeted for audit to better ensure no one is unfairly taking advantage of the system. Further reinforcing evidence of the trend, only three counties on this list have a higher median annual household income than the median nationwide of $57,652.
For my Ohio clients, Adams County is the most audited county. One of the poorest counties in the state. Median income is $36,000 with a 24% poverty rate.
Wishing you many happy returns and no audits,

4-26-2019 Intel Guru MarkZ Big news overnight is I was told the borders are closed in Iraq…this probably means good things for us and for the people in Iraq…We were always told they would close their borders just before they reset their currency. …We are watching closely today into tomorrow [Friday]. ...if they really did close the borders in Iraq and are releasing new rates today then maybe things start tomorrow [Friday]? My banking contact who is at a redemption center says we are still in a minute to minute watch...and to keep watching.
