The Center for International Astronomy, on Sunday, the possibility of seeing the crescent of Ramadan with the naked eye in the event of clarity of the atmosphere, on Sunday.

"The month of Shaaban began in most countries of the Islamic world on Sunday, April 7, 2019, and therefore most countries will investigate the crescent of the month of Ramadan 1440 AH on Sunday, May 5," the director of the center, Mohamed Odeh, said in a statement today.

"On that day, the crescent can be seen from the Islamic countries with the naked eye or using the telescope in the case of atmospheric clarity. Therefore, Monday (May 6th) is expected to be the first day of Ramadan in most countries of the world."
